Faith doesn’t promise us an easy life, but it does promise that we will have the strength to endure. What is faith, you ask? The Bible says “Faith is the realization of what is hoped for, and evidence of things not seen” (Hebrews 11:1). Try envisioning your hopes and dreams whether they are career goals, hopes to get well, or whatever healthy goals they may be. Hoping to win the lottery does not apply! I used to imagine myself out of a wheelchair very early on after my accident. I would have visions of being up on a walker or up on a cane. I saw myself no longer paralyzed, and that dream came true. I am still not walking as well as I would like to be, but I have not given up. I am thankful for the progress I have made. When you’ve gone from paralyzed to walking again, you can really appreciate how freeing walking can be. What do you need faith for? A better job? Better health? Better relationships? Pray about it. Ask for it. Believe in it. These are all components of faith. No matter what, don’t let any negative thoughts convince you otherwise!
Faith is the ability to see something good in your life with no evidence of it being true. You create the experience. ~ Zina Hermez
