Serenity

From huffpost.com

I feel a sense of serenity tonight, but my life is not serene. I would like to get used to this feeling. It’s not peaceful all the time. There are obstacles, there is conflict, and there is a lot of noise (in my mind). I’ve felt more anxiety this year than I’ve felt before. But I’ve been praying, and I’ve been feeling the calm beyond the storm.

Whenever the anxiety rises, I will remember this feeling. I will replace it with what I know. Those feelings of fear never last. They only appear for a short time. It’s because those negative feelings are false so they cannot remain within us for very long. They disappear so they cannot spread, or stay around.

“Serenity is something we can never have enough of.” ~Zina Hermez

The Power Of One

power of oneThe power of one, it is something I learned about in a workshop tonight. Whenever families, spouses, friends, or even coworkers become divided. The solution can be found through coming together. Whenever two or more are divided amongst themselves, nothing is more powerful than agreement. The power of one. A wonderful tip that stayed with me tonight.
