God Will Always Win👑

He will win no matter what.♥️ You may try to go up against what is right. You may try to overturn an event with your selfish desires. You may think you can have your way even when you are wrong. But in the end, God will make a way. Justice will prevail. If you hold onto faith and persist, he will make it right. Ask him to lead and to guide. Keep in mind that you cannot go up against the Almighty One. Keep close to your heart some of the fruits of the spirit: patience, long-suffering, kindness, humility, self-control—in the end, you will be victorious. We all fail at times, but make sure to seek after God’s peace. Keep asking Him to direct your path. You will win in the end.

Today marks one year since I began my ‘diet’ journey!🥑

This picture popped up today in my Facebook memories. It was my photo from last year. Yes, intermittent fasting is great but it’s not enough! I mean, it’s enough to maintain your weight, to repair cells and to reduce some inflammation. But it’s not enough to lose weight! I mean, you can lose ‘some weight,’ but since last year I have incorporated the Mediterranean Diet. I started out with a restriction of 1,200-1,300 calories per day last November and had Greek Yogurt for dinner often. In a matter of weeks, I lost 25-30 pounds! Fast forward to today! I have learned so much more about food. The importance of eating red meat, how vegetable oils (and most restaurant food can be toxic), how the Food Pyramid we go by includes too many grains. I learned a lot of things about diet through this journey. As of yesterday, I switched over from the Mediterranean to more of a Paleo-diet. Or, ‘caveman’s’ diet, as they call it. The cavemen were healthy and diabetes and heart disease didn’t run rampant in their day. Today we have too many grains and too much sugar and packaged/processed food. Just study the grocery store next time you are shopping. The latest studies even show that fruits and vegetables don’t have all the benefits we believe them to have. They have some benefits and are low in calories. They make you feel full. But I’m switching to more of a Paleo style diet. I have a tendency to be low on Iron and anemic. The Iron that you get and other sources that come from a Paleo diet will be good for my health! I looked great in this picture and felt better, but the truth is–after four weeks of intermittent fasting I had lost very little weight. In this day and age, with the food that is out there, more is needed than just Intermittent fasting. We have to be aggressive at taking care of our health!

God’s Love Hath Saved Us♥️

Sometimes I fail at this. I focus more on my own vain selfish wants. I don’t always ask him to lead and guide. I react rather than think things through. I get emotional, lose self-control, get upset or angry. But some of the fruits of the spirit are gentleness, self-control, and patience. I pray to have these attributes more. I’m so grateful I have a God who loves me even when I mess things up! It’s the Laws of Physics. God can’t not love us. He’ll love you even when we’re not winning. He’ll love you even when we’re sinning. The Lord’s death and resurrection are what have saved us. “God made him who had no sin to be sin for us so that in him we might become the righteousness of God” (2 Cor. 5:21).

Only He Is Perfect🤴

It’s important to talk to God. But sometimes I find myself talking to everyone else. My emotions get out of control. I fuss or get upset, and I don’t go to him. I may talk to a friend. But it makes no sense. You would think I would talk to the Lord about it before anyone else. I think I don’t because I know he would help me to look at it differently, and sometimes I just want to stay mad. I need to learn how to manage my emotions better. God knows I at times fall [incredibly] short. I’m not happy about it. I wouldn’t say I suffer from depression. I’m a cheery person, for the most part. I almost always feel blessed. But sometimes I get triggered. It’s a part I don’t like about myself. I need to practice having more self-control. It’s one of the fruits of the spirit. There is only one person who was perfect. We are getting ready to celebrate his birthday.🎂🎈 The Bible tells us: ‘He will SAVE HIS PEOPLE from their sins’ (Matthew 1:21).
