Do not seek to be great; seek to give☦️

Do not seek to be ‘great.’ Seek to do great things. Don’t be arrogant or ‘puffed up.’ Humble yourselves and know that ‘the Son of Man’ who came way before you did not come to be served BUT to SERVE. Let him be your greatest teacher. When angry try not to sin in actions or thoughts, when feeling sorry, repent. Follow after God. Look after others. The promise is you will have ‘a long life.’ Get away from YOU. Meaning, take the focus off yourself. Give. It is better to give than to receive. And love at all times.❤️ Do your best.

Spirit Lead Me Where My Trust Is Without Borders❤️

I pray to have this kind of faith. ‘Trust’ without border faith is bigger than just a ‘trusting’ faith. It’s easy to have a trusting faith. Most of us possess that already. We naturally trust in God for a good day, food, clothing, work, and friendships. Oftentimes, we get it all and more! But a ‘spirit without border’ faith is different. It’s where you trust in the unknown, the unpredictable, and believe in God to bring you out even in the direst circumstances. I have been called to have this kind of faith before—it’s where you just know, no matter how hard it gets—God will be there to help you through it. Your faith is so strong at this point that you bring the outcome into existence! The greatest physicists in the world have said we are moving here through our imagination. Therefore, imagination is not a tool we can just choose to use. It’s how we’re moving through life. Now, just think, you have a God who loves you so much that he gave you the ability to bring to pass your dreams with just your mind! So long as your dreams are permitted. God is still in control. God is on the throne, and we have to work within the Laws of physics. God also wants what’s best for us and those dreams of yours could be seeds he planted! “Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand” (Isaiah 41:10).

Yahweh Will Never Forsake Me❤️

Yahweh is my shield. Without him I am nothing. He sets me on my path, gives me peace that surpasses all understanding, and sustains me. He keeps me together when I feel like I’m going crazy. He gives me a plan and reassures me that he is in control. Without him by my side, I don’t know where I would be. He is the sunshine of my day.☀️ The glow of the moonlight.🌝 Without God, there would be no me! He is everything. Although I often neglect him in my thoughts and at times go about my day as if he’s not there–HE NEVER forgets me. He tells me I’m enough and tells me I am loved. There will never be a better relationship.❤️

God’s Plan❤️

This is true. “Gods plan is worth waiting for,” is what this image says. Sometimes our plans coincide with his. Sometimes we are on different timelines. Meaning, our plans will happen but not when we want them to. What we expect for our lives is not always how it turns out. What you thought your life would be like is not always the life that God wants for you. Don’t get me wrong—we have an unconditionally loving Father who wants to make our dreams come true. But there are the Laws of Physics. We don’t always get what we want in life. We have to work within the Laws of the Universe. When we learn to accept this and allow God to lead and guide us through prayer, our intuition, or through other channels—we learn to make it in life.☄️❤️‍🔥✨

Receive the Crown of Life👑

Pursue righteousness and desire spiritual gifts. Easier said than done, right? Sometimes we want to get angry. Sometimes we want to be rich or overcome with success. Sometimes we feel victimized and don’t understand our trials. But walking on the right path is not an easy one, as a matter of fact, you will face more for your convictions: there will be more trials. More rejection. More abandonment. Seek after God anyway. Pursue righteousness and desire spiritual gifts, and you will be given the crown of life.👑👸🤴

He Will Deliver You!♥️

This is so true. At sixteen years old, I began a search. I was searching for God. I knew his presence was there and felt him with me daily, but I wanted to understand more about him and life. I was confused. How could he be so good but life be so dim at times? Then I was met with an accident. A very bad (vehicle) related accident. It all became clear. I experienced his loving-kindness through the others working to save my life.❤️ I felt his presence in an even more profound way and learned that light✨ will always outweigh any darkness. Hope is a never-ending song that can not be diminished. Love is more powerful than you think. I learned, that with God we can overcome anything no matter how bad the circumstances.❤️ When I couldn’t predict the future or even how many more breaths I would take, God delivered me. Not only did he save my life but he made me triumphant. Our God is more than just a healer. He is a deliverer! He will deliver you from the worst of times!✨❤️🕊

The Lord Will Fight for You♥️

God is in your corner. Sometimes you’ve done all you can. There are no words left to be said. No actions have not been taken. God will fight your battles. You need only to trust. Keep asking for guidance. As a matter of fact, he’s been fighting for you all along. When you call out to God, when you reverence him and do your best to follow his path, he helps you. God will be with you assisting, leading, and guiding you, wherever you go!

God Will Grant You Peace❤️

When I look back on life, it’s been in the times I’ve needed him the most that I’ve felt his profound sense of peace. In the helicopter on the ‘survival life flight’ to the University of Michigan hospital at just sixteen, for example. I’ve felt his peaceful presence when other tragedies in life have occurred, also. In loss, pain, heartbreak, or grief beyond belief—you will feel the Lord’s presence granting you peace. When you feel like every day is challenging, when you’re not sure how you will overcome, and when you cannot predict the future or what direction your life will take, God will give you reassurance. I love you, he whispers. Trust. Believe in me. I will lead and guide you. I want what’s best, he says. Keep the faith, and never give up! This is the peace that surpasses all understanding. The peace of God that never fails us.❤️

Prayer and Praise✨💫🌟

It will not always be ’bad.’ It will not always be ’good.’ Usually it’s a combination of both. We are taught that in this life we should reach for everything and be supremely happy. That’s not how it’s supposed to be. We don’t have to have ‘everything’ in order to be happy. As a matter of fact, you could be going through the roughest time in your life and still be happy. I’ll tell you why. That ‘happiness comes from within’ quote is true. Actually, true happiness comes from knowing God. Having faith the size of a ‘mustard seed’ was not so much about the size of your faith and how big it has to be. Faith of a mustard seed is a genuine belief that you have a God who loves you and wants to bring you through. Therefore, no matter what the circumstances are—you should take heart if you know and believe God is working for you. When you seek after, follow, and try to learn his ways, he will especially help you. It’s your choice. We have free will. God will not force you to worship. God will try to bring you to his heart. The everlasting, all kind, eternal, unconditionally loving, God. Our Holy Father in heaven wants to bring you to himself. It’s simple. All you have to do is call out to him. Do it once. It gets easier. Make it a practice. And watch your life begin to transform in ways you never imagined!

He Is the Author and Finisher💫✨⭐

When Mary Magdalene went to search for Jesus’s body after he was laid to rest, she was surprised to see he was not there. Who she thought was the gardener was Jesus. Supposing him to be the gardener, she said, “Sir, if you have taken him away, tell me where you have put him, and I will go and remove him.” Jesus said, “Mary!” She knew him then and said to him in Hebrew, “Rabbani!”—which means Master. Mary went there broken-hearted. She went to his tomb. Her master, her God, had been crucified. All hope was gone. All security diminished. It seemed that death had won. Mary was telling the supposed gardener to tell her where he was (even though she thought him to be dead). “I will bring him here. I will take care of him.” Mary loved Jesus so much that she wanted to bring him to her and the other disciples. Have you ever felt like anything in your life has been dead, only to find it’s been resurrected? Have you ever been heartbroken beyond belief only to find a newfound hope, a new life you never imagined? I can’t imagine the awe, wonder, and fascination that must’ve been going through Mary’s mind when she learned that Jesus was alive! It meant so much—she ran back to tell the Good news to the other disciples. “Jesus is alive!” She tells them. This changed everything. Hope was alive. Death has lost. Evil had not won. He’s the beginning and the end. The Author and Finisher of Life.🌟🙏☦️

God Made It All♥️

Are you one who needs to ‘see?’ Do you need evidence and proof there is a God? Ask yourself this. Can you look at yourself without a natural mirror? How do you know you’re really here? How do you know the person you’re talking to is here? For you to deny there is a God but verify there is a ‘you’ is pretty self serving. I guess if there’s no God, we can do whatever we want. If there is no God, we can be a ‘God’ to our selves. We don’t have to be altruistic, kind, or feel remorse. There would be no ethical code. We would be free agents. The truth is, you are not a free agent no matter how badly you may want to be. You have a God. He takes you back even when you mess up. Our Lord prays to the Holy Father for us. Our Father in heaven is unconditionally loving and kind. He wants what’s best for us. He’s not out for revenge. He’s not the picture some may have painted in your mind. He takes you through seasons and trying times, he is molding and shaping. You are a wonderful work in progress. This earth is not where it all ends. There are other dimensions. Distant lands. More than 100,000,000,000 galaxies that we know of so far. There are many. Many. Earth sized planets. There are hundreds of billions upon hundreds of billions of stars. There is so much you can’t see or experience. The heavens. The universe(s). God made them all.💫☄️⚛️

Trusting God Is Not Popular; Do It Anyway♥️

Trusting in God is not popular in our generation, and I’ll tell you why. Trusting in God can be tricky. First off, people have a hard time trusting something they cannot see. We don’t always attribute nature, the beauty of the earth, and one another as belonging to God. We live in a generation of science deniers. People question whether NASA and its findings are a ploy or not. This is a generation devoid of trust who wants evidence. But even when the evidence is right in your face you are taught to deny it. God is in everything. Everything happens ‘by him and for him,’ the Bible tells us. To deny there is a God or live as though he doesn’t need your attention is not a good way to live at all. You came from God. You go back to God. You did not create yourself. He is the one who made billions upon billions of stars. Your very own being is made from those stars: you are made from stardust. The” Big Bang Theory” and “Book of Genesis” correlate as far as timelines go. Before there was anything, there was something—it was God. Trusting in him is not popular because you don’t see results immediately. You feel unheard often. You may continue in pain. But the beauty of God is he’s been working behind the scenes all along. He will lead and guide you if you ask him to. He will direct your steps and even when it feels like he’s not moving; He is working. Hearing you cry out. Working to your benefit. No prayer is ever unheard or unanswered. Even if you receive a ‘no’ he will give you the grace to get through it. He will replenish and restore. Your life is not completely in your control; God is in the driver’s seat. Ask him for help with it.🌟✨💫

God’s Timing ✨🌟💫

This is so true. I find myself trying to make things happen that it is not ‘time’ for. You see—I’m a go-getter. I don’t like to wait. I focus on the present and make what I want to happen now. But God doesn’t always work like that. Meaning, we are moving here from faith to faith. Every moment is a blessing (no matter the circumstances) you are breathing. Every day is a gift. We are going through stages and periods and sometimes we want to rush our lives (hmm…I wonder why 🤔). We are more focused on reaching our destination than enjoying the journey. We need to calm down though. We need to savior our journey and be grateful even in what we deem as ‘bad’ times. God will bring us through it. He will make our dreams happen if we press towards our goals and be patient. He is good all the time.☯️✳️🙏

Repent. And be Glad.🌤🌞🌻

With God all things are possible. It’s hard for that to register in a world that’s so bleak and dim, in a world filled with war, hopelessness, disease, and fear. What we have to realize is that part of the ‘call’ is to not only believe in life everlasting but to live with an undying hope. What does this hope say in dark times? There is a God. What is the promise for those in pain or suffering? There is a God and you will get through this. Getting through is just that. It doesn’t mean we can work around it, ignore it, skip over it, or escape it means we have to get through it! There is hope on the other side if our intentions are pure–there will be a rainbow at the end of it. There will be a sunshine. There will be whispers in your heart that say, “Keep going. I am God,” and “Don’t give up.” There is a glory that awaits us on the other side. And sometimes we’re lucky enough to catch glimpses and “specs” of it while we’re here. But it awaits. Repent. Praise God and be grateful that he always forgives even when we mess up daily.☀️🌈🛡️⚔️☦️

It’s More than You Can Fathom♥️

What’s incredible to me is how the Lord preserves us and keeps watch over our lives. We may feel like the enemy has won, like there is no hope, as if life is worthless and there’s not much left to live for. But God will give us a sign. He will reach out. There will be a phone call, a friendly smile, and a kind gesture. Something will tell us to keep on going, keep believing, and do not give up. When you truly love the Lord, you keep going no matter what because you know about his massive love. You know that how things ‘appear’ to be are not how they really are. You know that there’s a love greater than you could even fathom and you’ve barely tasted it. You know there’s something beyond. Something more. Glorious is not a big enough word to describe it. It’s beyond what you imagine. Beyond space and time. It’s God. The Everlasting. The One and Only. The Maker of ALL things. It’s his Love.❤️

“Wherever You Go!”♥️

The Lord our God will be with us wherever we go. This Bible verse says ‘wherever.’ It DOESN’T say he will be with us ‘some of the time’ or only when we are doing good. It DOESN’T say he will be with us on happy days and abandon us when we’re feeling down in the dumps. It DOESN’T even says he will be with us ONLY when we’re in obedience to his will. It SAYS he will be with us ‘wherever we go!’ ALL the TIME. God doesn’t LOVE us or ONLY help us sometimes. He’s not controlling. He LOVES us all the time, even when we’re acting ‘ugly,’ he goes down into the valley with us and sees our pain and agony. He carries our frustrations and aggravations. When we lean on God, when we call out to him and realize WE CAN DO NOTHING apart from him—His presence is Ever so Present! He is there to love us with open arms. He Forgives. Helps. Consoles, and rescues us. When God comes in to rescue you, it will be the greatest gift you’ve ever been given!✨♥️☦️

Keep God First♥️

I am writing this to encourage you but also posting it to encourage myself. “Keep pushing. Keep believing. Keep trusting and keep going.”More importantly: “KEEP GOD FIRST.” I fail at this at times. My anger, frustrations, restlessness, and resentments get the best of me. But one of my prayers, especially lately is to seek God above all. As the Bible tells us, ‘Seek ye first God and his righteousness and ALL else shall be added on to you.’ Seek God first. This is my prayer. Sometimes seeking God first can be difficult. We are called to do things we would rather not do, called to face situations that are rather difficult, and have to deal with people that can be unbearable. But when we try our best to follow: he gives us the strength to go down to the valley, to encounter the unexpected, to face the most grave of situations, and he brings us out victorious! “God disciplines us for our good…”

Work For the Lord🙏✨

What we fail to understand is that everything we do we do unto the Lord. Sometimes we do wrong. Thank God we have an unconditionally loving father who forgives us.♥️ When we work we work for the Lord. When we wake up it’s for the Lord. When we sleep, when we love…it’s all for the Lord. Commit your plans…acknowledge the Lord. He will establish you and your plans. The greatest physicists in the world tell us we are under a ‘cosmic’ order. A divine plan. You are not your own. You may think you’re in control. But God is the captain of your ship. Trust in him. He is All loving. All kind. And provides life everlasting.

Colossians 3:23-24
New International Version
23 Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, 24 since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.

The Bible Is Like Medicine⚕️📖✨

The word became ‘flesh.’ This Bible verse can be taken in so many ways. It’s true. I’m not sure where to start. I looked up the word, “Incarnation,” it’s a central Christian doctrine that God became flesh, that God assumed a human nature and became a man in the form of Jesus Christ, the Son of God and the second person of the Trinity. I thought that was described very well. Jesus became flesh. He came and bore our sins; our mishaps; our failures and our mistakes. The ‘word’ is so powerful, the Book of Hebrews goes on to tell us:

“For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. Nothing in all creation is hidden from God’s sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account (Hebrews 4:12-13).”

I try to practice listening to the Bible by audio (I have downloaded the Bible Gateway app). I try to listen for at least fifteen minutes each day. Sometimes this turns into a couple hours. I do well at it for a few weeks at a time then fall off my tracks. I skip a few weeks of listening sometimes. But the clearest messages and feelings I’ve ever gotten are usually right after or while listening to Scripture. The Bible provides us with fresh ‘living water.’ It’s like medicine to our soul.💦📖🕊

The Greatest of These Is Love♥️

How do we remain in love? How do we always ‘turn the other cheek,’ so to speak? I fail and get angry at times. Part of the human condition is to fail and sometimes we can’t help it. I think the important thing to keep in mind is that we feel remorse. If we feel remorse or upset for our wrongs, the hurt we caused someone, or our irrational behavior that makes the difference. God never expected for us to be perfect. He said I came for those who ‘are not well.’ The sick, the sinner, and the downtrodden. He came to save us from our hurts and pains. He did not come to condemn but to heal and save. I think we need to realize that healing is not a one time thing or event. God knew we would need to be healed, restored, and set straight more than once. But how do we do better? Good question. When we feel sorry, when we acknowledge the hurt, rejection or pain that we caused God notices that. He forgives. He restores. We’re given another day, another chance, and another opportunity to get it right. We ask him to help us. We have to humble ourselves. I remind myself that how I treat others is how I’m treating God, because the Bible tells us that the Holy Spirit dwells within each of us.❤️🙏✳️

Even Solomon In All His Glory…👑🌸

When king Solomon was asked by God what he wanted in a dream, he asked for wisdom. King Solomon could’ve asked for anything, and he asked to be wise. ‘He chooses an understanding heart. Wisdom, so he can make good decisions for his people. And God is so pleased with Solomon’s choice that He gives him every other good gift, too.’ King Solomon understood the unimportance of material things in comparison with wisdom and obedience to God. He knew his riches were only temporary, and he sought to be loved by God more than anything else. He went on to build one of the greatest temples in Jerusalem known to mankind.

When the Lord refers to Solomon in the New Testament, he uses him as an example of why we should not worry. God reassures that the Lillies of the field are cared for, and we will be too. The Lord says, “Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin: yet I say unto you, that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. But if God doth so clothe the grass of the field, which to-day is, and to-morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith? Be not therefore anxious, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? For after all these things do the Gentiles seek; for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. But seek ye first his kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you” Matthew 6:28-33). #NIV

Seek first the Kingdom of Righteousness, it’s a great reminder for all of us. Don’t worry about what you shall wear, eat, or drink—God will add all these things to you. What made King Solomon so special was that he sought. He was blessed by God and much was added to him.🤴✝️🕊

Never Give Up!♥️

Have you ever felt this way before? Like you are on the edge? You can’t take anymore. Life’s getting worse, and what is the point of it all? When you have these days, remember that God is not one who ‘gives up.’ And he never meant for you to give up either. When all is coming against you, and you feel like life will never be ‘right.’ Remember, it’s an opportunity for you to depend on God. To call out to Him in prayer, in solitude, to turn to scripture and seek his presence more and more! It is in these moments you will rise above. You will make it. You will not be defeated, and God will let you know you can accomplish anything with him by your side. Never give up, and keep your eyes on Jesus.✝️⚛️💜

When Only God Is There❤️

When was the last time you depended on only God? When was the last time he was the first person you called, cried to, reached out to, or spent time with? God is always there. The blessings he has given us are a result of his love. First and foremost, we must remember that we have nothing without him. As the Bible tells us, everything happens ‘by him and for him.’ I can think back to at least a few times in my life when I felt I had no one but God. The time I spent three months in the hospital, alone, a month of which was spent in the intensive care unit. I prayed to him each day and night for healing, restoration, and hope for another day. There have been other times in my life that have demonstrated that too: a pure need for God simply just to make it through. Think back to some of the most difficult moments in your life. Who did you cry out to? Who did you ask for help? Who restored you? The Bible tells us that our God [continually] heals us. Therefore, healing is not a one-time thing or event. He knew we would neee to be healed more than once. Let’s take a minute to reflect upon all God has done for us. He is ever-present in the happy moments too. He’s always waiting with loving arms to listen, heal, and restore hope in us.♥️

God Renews Us✨

You feel hopeless. Empty. Like life is unbearable. Without words, you continue. You may feel sad or upset. But just know that God is looking out for you. He will uphold you with his right hand. He will make you victorious again. His love never fails. Life will disappoint. But God will never fail you. He is the creator of the Universe(s). He made everything. He will give you peace and light. When you have no hope and feel in the dark, just know God is there. He will pull you out, make you better, and give you a fresh start. God renews. ‘…they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not be faint.’ -Isaiah 40:31

For they shall be called, ‘Sons of God’♥️

I I think this is one of the hardest lessons, ‘to bear with one another in love,’ despite our differences. Yet, it’s so simple. God requires us to be patient, tolerant, and to carry the spirit of ‘long suffering.’ I have failed at this. I get upset, want to be right, or am not willing to compromise. The need to be right can hinder us. We may very well be right; nonetheless, we have to ‘bear with one another (in love)’ no matter what. The pathway to peace is not always achieved by proving you’re right, but by settling differences. Let it go. Moving forward and hopefully toward a brighter tomorrow.☀️ ‘Happy are the peacemakers; they will be called Sons of God.’ -Matthew 5:9

Everything Is In Cosmic Order❤️🌌

God’s timing is perfect. Through studying physics, I have learned that God’s timing can be referred to as ‘cosmic’ timing, divine timing, and even ‘universal timing.’ Since God is the creator and maker of ALL things, and I mean, ALL, he is also the creator of this thing called ‘timing.’ Physicists like to refer to this ‘moment to moment’ we are living through as ‘entropy.’ After all, everything you see, hear, feel, touch, or experience is an aftermath of the Big Bang, or ‘Big event,’ as I like to call it, that happened 13.8 billion years ago. I don’t call it a bang because there was no noise or air molecules at the time. The ‘Big event’ timeline correlates with the Book of Genesis. The order of events, the sun came next and us humans, last. You see, there is a cosmic order. Some physicists, like Brian Greene, for example, deny that we even have free will. However, we are often presented with ‘choices’ in this life—our choices determine a result. So we do play a part in what happens in our lives or the lives of others. The beauty about God and his divine plan is that even when we mess things up, he is there to pick us up. He gives us another chance. He forgives. He makes it right. Our God is All perfect, All loving, and kind.♥️✨

What We are Is Eternal (consciousness)🌟

Have you ever thought about what brings about ‘consciousness?’ I mean, what is the difference between you and a baseball bat? After all, you are both just a collection of particles. Of course the bat cannot think or behave like you! The bat could never be as conscious or aware as you are. Brian Greene, world famous physicist says, ‘we are an exquisite collection of particles.’ We have a high level of information integration going on ‘in our heads,’ Brian continues. He also does not believe in the idea of free will. He says we are governed by physical law and laws of the universe; however, as humans we have a variety of ways that we can ’respond’ to the world and outside environment. So then could we say that we are ’responsible’ for anything? Yes. If you played an integral part in a course of events, than you are also an integral part of the consequences that happen.’ It’s algorithmic. So, then, should we still be responsible for our actions and punished for our transgressions, so to speak? Brian says, yes. If our punishment would benefit society as a whole and stop us from doing it again. I’m going to add the link to this video, but first I will tell you how I see it: our God is a personal one. He was punished for our transgressions when he died on the cross. He was raised again by the Laws of Physics (our Holy Father created all of it!). I believe what Brian says, that so much is ruled by the Laws of the Universe, and of course, God made us to be more exquisite than a baseball bat. He loves us unconditionally—even when we mess up. And he is always waiting for us with open arms. We are here ‘from moment to moment,’ but what we are experiencing is eternal. There is no end.✨☦️⚛️

God will always make a way when there seems to be no way. God will bring you to accept whatever the circumstances are because with God, there are no ‘down’ days. You could be feeling down for a day, or an hour, even for a few minutes—but to know God is to know peace. It is to know the beauty of life and to learn that every day is a new chance, a new day, and a new opportunity to get it right. In life, there will be letdowns, but when you know God you can’t stay ‘down’ for long.✨💕⚛️

Walk with God♥️

At times the road may be tough. You may wonder why you work so hard. You may feel like throwing your hands up and giving up. You may wonder how you’ve even made it this far. But keep in mind that God is working with you. He’s stayed with you this whole time. He is a God who never sleeps and you have access to him 24 hours a day. Just call on his name. He’ll be there to refresh, restore, and help you relax. ‘Those who walk with God always reach their destination.’🙏✨🧡

#ThisIs44💕

Life does not always turn out the way we pictured, but I’m thankful for the many blessings God has bestowed. He continues to show his love and favour. Despite any hardship, God is kind. You see, there can’t not be hardship in life—Jesus suffered first and foremost. So any pain, loss, or hurt we experience we should take up and give to him. God is wonderful. In every loss, there is gain, in every (heart) break, there is restoration, and in every battle, there is peace. God never leaves. It is usually us who turn away, and even then, he is standing in our corner cheering us on. He’s rooting for us. He wants to be there. The Lord tells us that in this world we will have troubles, but [to take heart] he has overcome the world!💖

‘I will never leave you, nor forsake you!’

God has given me this promise so many times. The first time I heard it I was very young. It was during one of my childhood ‘bike rides.’ I felt the presence of the Lord so strongly during those times and he’d talk with me through whispers in my heart. ‘This road will not be easy’ he told me, but ‘I will never leave you or forsake you.’ It was so comforting to hear. Alongside nature, I rode and rode. God would talk to me during those summer bike rides. He promised he would always be by my side. He has never left and never will.♥️✨☀️

Call out to God💞

God will never forsake you. He is the kind of God who protects you even when you don’t acknowledge him. What I mean is, you don’t have to even believe in him for him to care and watch over you. But praying to God, asking him to help, lead and guide you is very powerful. He will come right in. Defend you from your foes. He’ll put a shield over you to cover you. He will direct your steps, if you ask him to. You will not fall into a pit. You will not be needy. You will have abundance and be filled. When you call out to God, he will heal what is broken, restore what is lost, and love you unconditionally, no matter what. He is a fortress in our lives.💕✨

Happy Birthday to me!🎂🎉💫

Today I’m grateful. Grateful for what I have and my abilities. I am even thankful for what I have learned through loss. Our inabilities teach us to be humble and patient. What we lack can give us an appreciation for what we don’t. I woke up this morning and thanked God for all that I have and can do. I’m grateful and will continue to carry my cross(es) willingly and surrender to the Lord. When I am weak; he is strong. When I am tired; he is awake. When I am hurt; I will remember he is good (all the days of my life). 🎂🎉💫

God’s Love Hath Saved Us♥️

Sometimes I fail at this. I focus more on my own vain selfish wants. I don’t always ask him to lead and guide. I react rather than think things through. I get emotional, lose self-control, get upset or angry. But some of the fruits of the spirit are gentleness, self-control, and patience. I pray to have these attributes more. I’m so grateful I have a God who loves me even when I mess things up! It’s the Laws of Physics. God can’t not love us. He’ll love you even when we’re not winning. He’ll love you even when we’re sinning. The Lord’s death and resurrection are what have saved us. “God made him who had no sin to be sin for us so that in him we might become the righteousness of God” (2 Cor. 5:21).

“I am the Lord who continually heals you!”

Dear Lord,

You are a God who heals. Thank you for being my Lord who ‘continually heals’ me. As the Bible teaches, healing is not a one-time thing or event. You knew we would need to be healed many times! You always make me feel better, whether physically or mentally.

Thank you for being my God,♥️

‘A new heaven and a new earth’♥️🌎

Four passages in the bible that further prove this scripture are below:

“For behold, I create new heavens and a new earth, and the former things shall not be remembered or come into mind” (Isaiah 65:17).

“But be glad and rejoice forever in what I will create, for I will create Jerusalem to be a delight and its people a joy” (Isaiah  65:18).

“I will rejoice over Jerusalem and take delight in my people; the sound of weeping and of crying will be heard in it no more” (Is 65:19).

“Behold, the dwelling place of God is with man. He will dwell with them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them as their God” (Revelation 21:3).✨

God Is Always There♥️

These are some of the books in my book collection. There are books by Joyce Meyer, Rick Warren—The Purpose Driven Life, and there are several bibles. Now I even have my dad’s scripture collection in his native language (Aramaic).☦️ I have the mug I received after speaking at the Harvard Faculty Clubs ‘Business Expert Forum’ and also have a few Christmas designs. I was going through my bookcase earlier today and was feeling a little sad that the holidays are almost over.🎄Well, we are actually past New Year’s. However, a new year can bring with it many blessings. For example, my latest book — Not Without God: Hope In the Storm is now up for preorder sale and will be released on January 24! So I’m excited about that! I’m feeling healthier and have achieved some big health goals last year. I’ve grown this blog to almost 100k views, and that’s been a long-term goal. Of course, I’m working towards getting millions of viewers on here and even more subscribers. But besides all the good news, I guess I’m having a little bit of post holiday blues. However, I’m still looking forward to the many blessings a New Year can bring with it.🎉 I’m continuing to ask God to lead and guide me in the right direction. I’m still thankful for the Lord’s generosity; He always forgives us and takes us back even after we mess up. We have a God whose love never fails us and is always there.❤️🙏🌟 #happynewyear

It’s Almost a New Year!🎈

This year has been incredible. I have accomplished two big goals, and I’m wrapping 2021 up nicely! I couldn’t be happier. I’m glad I didn’t wait to make ‘New Year’s Resolutions.’ Those typically don’t work out well for me. If you’re a little behind on things you want to accomplish, though, I recommend you do make a New Year Resolution. Better yet, I urge you to start now! This year I have lost a little weight and have kept it off. I also just completed my book, Not Without God: Hope In the Storm. It is available for pre-order right now!🎉 https://www.amazon.com/Not-Without-God-Hope-Storm-ebook/dp/B09P9T2DLT

What is it you’d like to accomplish in 2022? What are your goals? How will you go about achieving them? Another thing to think about: how can we better serve God in the New Year? At times I have failed at doing this, but since I owe all my success this year (and every year) to him–I’d like to do better!🎊

Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving” (Colossians 3:23-3:24).

God Is Able!🎄✨🙏

isn’t it just beautiful how he can carry us when we cannot carry ourselves?!! Thinking back, I marvel at how I’ve gotten through some of the things I have. But it was God helping me and giving me strength. God has done more than just play a part. There would be NO ACTion without him!💕

Only He Is Perfect🤴

It’s important to talk to God. But sometimes I find myself talking to everyone else. My emotions get out of control. I fuss or get upset, and I don’t go to him. I may talk to a friend. But it makes no sense. You would think I would talk to the Lord about it before anyone else. I think I don’t because I know he would help me to look at it differently, and sometimes I just want to stay mad. I need to learn how to manage my emotions better. God knows I at times fall [incredibly] short. I’m not happy about it. I wouldn’t say I suffer from depression. I’m a cheery person, for the most part. I almost always feel blessed. But sometimes I get triggered. It’s a part I don’t like about myself. I need to practice having more self-control. It’s one of the fruits of the spirit. There is only one person who was perfect. We are getting ready to celebrate his birthday.🎂🎈 The Bible tells us: ‘He will SAVE HIS PEOPLE from their sins’ (Matthew 1:21).

Your grief shall be turned to joy✨🌟💫

One of my favorite pastors, Greg Boyd, had once said, ‘God lives in our imagination.’ Meaning, we can only see God through our imagination while we’re here. In this culture we’re taught not to use it. We’re taught it’s silly if we imagine things without seeing them and some may even mock you for believing in God. But this Bible verse explains it. He who has not ‘seen,’ yet believes is blessed. Jesus saith unto him, ‘Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.’ Jesus at one point also says it is because his father has revealed it. Do you believe? Are you able to believe without directly seeing? Christianity is based on faith. Without faith it’s hard to accept. Imagine how Mary Magdalene felt when she saw the Lord, risen, standing outside of the tomb? Imagine how her faith and belief was not only verified, but how she at that moment knew she was worshipping the one and only Lord! How excited must she have been? The Bible also says: ‘Very truly I tell you, you will weep and mourn while the world rejoices. You will grieve, but your grief will turn to joy. A woman giving birth to a child has pain because her time has come; but when her baby is born she forgets the anguish because of her joy that a child is born into the world. So with you: Now is your time of grief, but I will see you again and you will rejoice, and no one will take away your joy’ (John 16:20-22).🎄♥️🎁

He never fails♥️

God’s love will never fail. Friendships may fail and relationships may fade, but God will never leave you. Not only that; he will be your number one source.🔥 If you ask him to, he will lead and guide. But you have to ask. It’s not that he won’t take care of you if you don’t ask him to, but when you ask you maintain your connection and hear from him better. God’s love never fades. It never disappears or goes away. You may choose not to acknowledge him, but he will still be there with arms open wide—waiting with love for you. He can help you get through any tough situation.❤️✨🙏

No one is perfect but the Lord❤️

Sometimes we strive for perfection. We keep it pretty on the outside. We do our best to make the greatest first impression, we choose the right words, we go to church on Sundays, we buy lots of presents, and we gain as much love as we can for validation. As you already know, though, the truth is that none of us can be perfect. Only the Lord was perfect. That is not to say we should not strive for it, but accept the broken pieces, and the times you’ve really messed it up and failed. The times you regret what you did or said. All of those parts make up you; however, the ‘ugly’ parts don’t represent you. They just represent a time when you were ‘broken.’ We have all been there. Some more than others. Good thing God will always love you no matter what.♥️

John Chapter 8✨📖😄

I was listening to a very powerful chapter in the Bible last night: John Chapter 8. As a matter of fact, I have listened to John (or read it, I should say) a lot, but I do a lot of listening nowadays through my audio app. The verses were really resonating with me yesterday. I kept listening to some of them over and over. So I’d like to share a few verses with you below. This is where the pharisees were really challenging Jesus. His words are remarkable!

We Are Not Alone☦️🕊✳️

Sometimes we fear the worst. Sometimes we wait for things to go wrong. Sometimes we’re afraid to expect anything good because we’re used to being disappointed. But if we look back at the times we were alone, disappointed, afraid, or stressed—we will realize we were never really alone at all. God is not just some white-bearded old guy sitting up in the sky. He dwells within. In John 14:26 we are told: ‘But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name [Jesus], he will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you.’ How many times has the spirit helped you, taught you, or even saved you from something traumatic?’ We are never alone.🕊🕊🕊

Do What Is Right☀️

We strive to do right but some are not concerned with it. Their path is jaggedly, distressed and painful. I can’t imagine walking through this life alone, not seeking after God or having care for his will or purpose. The Bible tells us the wicked fail and it’s true. Their schemes are always brought to light. But when we seek after God, his righteousness, AND long to do what is right, he picks us up even when we fail. He puts us back on track. There is another day, another chance, another opportunity to fix it. He keeps us on his path when we continually seek after him.

An Open Letter to God…♥️💔

Dear Lord,

Forgive me for my mistakes. All the times I’ve failed you. For the times I’ve judged harshly or did something wrong. Forgive all the times I failed to do what you would have me to do or what I’ve been called to. Forgive me when I’ve gotten angry or have felt a sense of rage. “Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew me.’ Your love and kindness are everlasting and unlike anything I can even fathom. To experience your love is to feel a peace that surpasses all understanding. Please help me with any anxiety or fears. I seek your peace God. You said that in this world we would have troubles but to take heart because you have overcome the world! Thank you for being my Lord!✨🤴🛐 ✳️ 🙏

Advent Is Upon Us🙏🌲🌠

Advent is one of my favorite seasons. Yesterday marked the beginning of the #advent season. It starts four Sundays before Christmas.🎄This is an evergreen wreath with four candles, sometimes with a fifth, white candle in the center. ‘Beginning with the First Sunday of Advent, the lighting of a candle can be accompanied by a Bible reading, devotional time, and prayers.’ Another candle is lit each Sunday until, by the last Sunday, all four candles have been lit. Some Advent wreaths include a fifth, white candle which is lit on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day (the pink one is for rejoicing on the fourth Sunday).🕯🎄🙏☦️🧑‍🎄🌨❄️ #advent #christmas

Take a look at my short 10 minute or so video on Chapter 4 of my book today. I thought it would be a nice addition to my blog since I added chapter three just yesterday. It’s a Facebook live recording. https://www.facebook.com/zina.hermez.7/videos/428652758713254/

‘Give it to God’

I’m not sure if you can see the tiny caption in this lovely picture but it says ‘Give it to God.’ I would like to talk a little about ‘Give it to God’ this morning. Giving it to God is a lovely message and should be followed in so many ways; however, oftentimes people think that giving it to God means to let it go. Well, not entirely. Even when we give something to God it still requires some action. Often I feel like people say ‘give it to God’ as a way to assume no responsibility. The Holy Spirit works within us, “For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God,” the Bible tells us. Therefore God gives us direct steps and instruction. My prayer is always for him to lead and guide. I know I am on the right path when he is leading me. This world can cause all kinds of confusion. We live in a culture that is focused on self; therefore, it may be hard to discern what God is saying versus other voices out there. Typically if something is not pleasurable to us or gratifying we do away with it. We ‘Give it to God.’ Think of the volunteers who wake up before dawn to go to the soup kitchen or the ones who do random acts of kindness or care for the elderly. These are people who gave it to God, but let God work through them for humankind. In a culture that tends to be individualistic in nature, the Bible tells us to ‘die to self.’ And that those who hold into their lives shall lose it, but those who ‘lose’ their lives [for His sake] will find it.✨🙏☦️

Chapter Three from “Not Without God: Hope In the Storm” w/questions for Reflection!

Refined by the Fire

But he knows the way that I take, when he has tested me I shall come forth as gold.

Paul writes in a letter to the Romans in Chapter 10: “If you declare with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead–you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified. And it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved” (Romans 10:9-10).

I remind you of this verse because some have a misconception about how to come to the Lord. They may think you need to have had a sin-free life or that he would not accept you into the Kingdom if you’ve messed up! The opposite is true. Paul said if you confess with your mouth and believe in your heart, you will be saved.

Grace is a gift. Our works don’t consistently demonstrate that we should earn it. God loves us, still. Whether you are a ‘Noah’ or fall short (at times we all do) he longs to be with you, and you will one day understand the importance of his existence! All we have is now so let’s make the most of it and live in his presence!

God can pull you out of your past so you can live fully in the present. The path will not be an easy one. God may call you to put away selfish desires, arrogance, or any sense of entitlement.

It isn’t a live-your-best-life kind of path; at times, it will be difficult. There are hardships and rejection. It isn’t always pleasurable. But following Jesus is not a one-time event—he is continually molding and shaping us. It will be worth it in the end! When you know where the grace in your life comes from, it makes it that much more special! If you ask the Lord to direct you, he will guide your steps.

***

I walk with the kind of crutches that you can slip your arm into; not the kind that someone would use if they had a broken leg, for example. They are called forearm crutches. The next step for me would be to walk well with one cane, and I hope to get to that. But I’ve come to accept that even if I don’t, it’ll be okay. God grants our wishes but sometimes with limits for his own purposes or for the purpose of the Kingdom (heaven).

In due time it will all make sense. Remember that every successful endeavor takes careful ‘watering.’ Increase can be a gradual process. Everything is in God’s hands. Again, we can be co-workers with God, but we have to do our part. By having faith and taking action! We cannot just be stagnant. We have to work hard. He can help us through anything. We have to talk with him and make him our best friend. He wants to see our dreams happen.

God will get you through anything. Rest assured. You may not know where to turn or what steps you should even take, but he will lead you and guide you if you ask him to. Seek after his wise council. You do not need to worry, but only be still and ask him to help you. There have been times where I had no idea what my life was doing or how I would end up. God brought me through in those times and gave me step by step instruction. He is a problem solver. A friend. A refuge. An ever-present help in our time of trouble.

The beautiful thing is he’s omnipresent. He can be everywhere all at once. He is a God who does not sleep. You have access to him 24 hours a day. The world will tell you there is no way out. The world will tell you you’re doomed. The world will tell you there’s no hope. With God, there is always hope! There is restoration. The laws of physics prove to us that anything is possible. But nothing can be possible if you throw your hands up. With God ALL things are possible. He can lead and guide you through the worst of times. Just call out to him and he will be there for you.

We are told through the Bible that God is all around us. The Holy Spirit is our present help. This means we cannot escape his presence no matter how hard we try. To say we’ve never heard from God is to tell a lie. We can tune out his voice or pretend he is not there, but it’s difficult to do that because he is everywhere. God is altruistic and kind. God is loving and he requires the same of us.

He’s not just an old guy with a white beard sitting in the sky waiting to scold us! People who are so focused on the judgement and ‘warning’ everyone have never experienced the real Jesus. They are portraying some man made image of a God who won’t love you if you mess up. God’s love cannot change. He is the same. Yesterday. Today. And forever. It is us who turn our backs or walk away.

He had loved us at our darkest and at times when we did not deserve his love. God is not partial. He doesn’t only love us when we are doing ‘good.’ He loves us when we fail. He loves us when we’re not pretty. The beautiful thing is we have a chance to turn our lives around and seek after him once again. He loves us eternally. The sooner people realize that God does not change (like we do), the better. He’s not a fair-weather friend. He’s not here for a ‘season’ or because there is some benefit. He doesn’t behave the way humans do.

He is our Holy Father. He loves us when we’re not ‘winning,’ and when we know we could be better. God can’t not love us because God is love. He is the epitome of it. Some may paint the picture in your mind of a God who punishes. But, again, those images are not of the Jesus I know. His arms are open wide, lovingly, and he is waiting for his children to come home.

All the blessings he’s given to me that I am going to continue to describe, I do not believe I gained because I am privileged. It may be because I’ve sought after him. Maybe I can hear better. But I haven’t received blessings because I’m privileged or better. I do believe that God gives different children special missions, and I may be one of them. That is not to say it has been easy to carry. Friends have turned their backs. I’ve been abandoned.

As I mentioned earlier, a life of trying to follow Christ (and really doing it) is not always an easy one. There is rejection and people don’t always understand. They also expect you to never mess up and to not have any flaws. They don’t understand that part of the human condition is to fail. Some may not understand why you’re so devoted. Or they may resent you for trying to do something worthwhile. Either way God didn’t put us here to please each other, we have to please him first. Part of pleasing him is fulfilling our mission. It’s not a desire I can choose to have. It is from within. I can’t help but write books.

When I began driving again at nineteen years old, I wore tall braces that came up to my knees. I kept my walker in the back seat of my car. I’ve had my braces cut down throughout the years. When I was still a patient at Mott Children’s, the braces were exceptionally high! They reached up to my pelvis. I also had a bulky back brace that was attached. I’ve improved a lot since then. The braces I wear now are called AFOs, which stands for “ankle to foot orthosis,” they mainly give support to my ankles.

I had to be my advocate! A patient has to request for their strength to be examined. He or she could be ready to walk with lower braces or without any walking devices, but without asking, they may never know it. Physical therapists perform strength tests, but these are done only at evaluations.

I often see people walking with Exoskeletons in physical therapy (a robotic machine that helps wheelchair users stand up). But the user is mostly just shifting their body weight from one side to the other, and the device helps lift the patient’s leg. It’s used as more of an exercise tool and not outdoors. The Exoskeleton was made for soldiers carrying heavy cargo while going uphill to prevent injury to their lower extremities, and the device weighs fifty pounds! Adding all that weight to your body does not make it easier to walk.

It is crucial to call on the name of the Lord. I have put a lot into this, but it would’ve never happened without God’s guidance. God loves us, so when we call out to him, grace is freely given.

There is no limit to what God can do. We are the miracle workers, too. Without Him, we can do nothing, but we have to do something to start. I got to a point where I exercised until I got soaked: dripping sweat and having to change clothes. When I could not move at all, I used to try hard to move my legs. Even when I couldn’t see it happening, I imagined it, and, eventually, they did. The power of the mind is incredible.

I want to add that there’s something that happens when tragedy strikes. I mean, there is gain in loss. That may sound strange. But loss humbles us in a way and reminds uswe are human. It happens for a reason, and I believe it is to enhance our personal growth.

Asking God questions, sharing my thoughts with him, worries, and concerns helps, and I get better while doing it. I like to talk to God and pray. I pray for myself and for my health and for God to bless me in mind, body, and spirit. I pray that he blesses my mom and (late) dad.

I talk to God while on the walking machines. I talk to Him while at the grocery store and shopping. I talk to Him as I’m getting ready for my classes and when I’m getting ready to teach. I hear from him too while I’m teaching because it is helpful. He gives me direction. I’ve been told that my instruction is very clear and concise. I give immediate feedback after every class. It is God assisting me.

I sometimes read Bible verses and short prayers. I try to commit to fifteen minutes a day of doing it, and I sometimes count prayer as being done while I’m writing, since my main focus is always on God. I speak to him through worship and prayer songs. I express my love by singing out loud and feeling his love. I especially talk with him when it’s quiet, because that is when I can hear from him best.

Prayer helps feed my soul. It helps give clarity to my mind. When I am praying, I am sorting thoughts out. I am prioritizing and giving them to God. I often get messages within or even visions right away. I know what he wants me to do. Maybe it’s because I’ve been talking with him so long. At certain times, the message are stronger than others. But I know he’s always there and listening, no matter what.

We can talk with God about anything. Our good days, bad days, our feelings toward our family or friends. We can tell him where we want to be five years from now or what we’re feeling in our hearts. We can tell him how we feel because he already knows. We can treat him like he’s a friend. He is the only one who will never leave and always stay. When God is in our corner nothing can stop us!

We can read the Psalms and study the Bible. We can say the Lord’s prayer and light a candle. We can talk to him in the car on our way to work. We can never run out of things to talk about. When God is involved, life will be much better. You’ll hear from him. You’ll have strength to make it through the day. He will handle it all and give you steps and instruction.

He is not a do nothing being. People tend to think that trust means inaction. Like, ‘oh, if I trust in God, he will do everything.’ This frustrates me when people believe the Lord has to act on their behalf. Trust does not mean do nothing. Often we don’t know how to hear from God or care to, for that matter. Our egos may tell us that we have enough. We don’t have ‘time’ for God.

You mean, the huge white-bearded man in the sky? Why cater to him or ask for his input one may think. But we need God. He is more than an outside force who created everything. His voice comes from within. When we listen to God, we accomplish a lot more for ourselves, for our family–for humankind.

The more you focus on him, the easier it will get. Go into a quiet place. Get away from the noise. Meditate on his word. Ask. And then wait to hear back. The answer often comes from your intuition and can even come from others. But please be careful with the ‘hearing from others.’ They can steer you their way, and when their voices outweigh your own and God’s than you are in the danger zone. Listen: ‘anything pure, anything whole, anything that is beautiful and good comes from God.’

***

You can spend time with God wherever you are. When you are praying, you are receiving. Whether you realize it or not, God is giving. The Holy Spirit guides you. But once you ask, there is an unfolding of events. You eventually get your answers.

Let me also just say that fitness in your body creates fitness in your mind also. It helps me write better. I have more energy during the day. Exercise enables you to deal with situations better.

I reached my goal of getting up to one hour of straight cardio. It’s an achievement I set out to complete. Let me let you in on a little secret: you have to get into “the zone.” Once you get into that zone where fatigue cannot affect you any longer and where you keep going no matter what–it becomes a mental game. Sure, you’ll be tired, but you will persist. You know you will succeed no matter what. After exercising, you will feel motivated. It’s the most excellent feeling.

You may not see your miracle or dream occurring, but something is happening behind the scenes—this is what the essence of faith is: The ability to see something good in your life with no evidence of it. You create the experience! An outstanding doctor of mind once said, “The body takes time to catch up to the mind.” If you decide to do something in your mind, your body will eventually follow. If you are achieving it in your brain, you will achieve it in your body, also.

When and where do you pray? Are you able to take prayer outside of church or a religious institution? I’ve told others that just talking to God is the best form. You can share your thoughts, give him prayer requests, and give him thanks for the blessings he’s bestowed. God wants to hear about all your worries, hopes, and concerns. God wants to be there! God wants to be a part of your everyday. He loves you more than you know. Start talking with him today!

Sooner or later, the inspiration (or answer) to your prayer will come. It is hard to discern God’s voice sometimes, but the Holy Spirit lives within us. And good thoughts about yourself and others come from above. “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope” (Jeremiah 29:11).

If your thoughts are pure, kind, and not adverse, this inspiration comes from the Lord. The fruit of the spirit is love. He will give you wisdom in how to overcome challenges. But he will not inspire you to think evil about yourself or anyone. I have made a point to try and listen to Bible verses every day, but sometimes I fail and just read some online instead.  Sometimes I listen and it lasts for a few hours; this helps to strengthen my faith and defeat any forms of depression.

What strategies do you use? Do you read the Bible? If so, which parts are your favorite? Why do you like those verses? How often do you study the Word? If you have not read it, when can you start? I like the NIV version. The ESV is good also because it is more modern and precise than the New King James. Maybe you can write out a study plan. My favorite Psalms are 69, 71, 74, and 77. Do you have any favorite ones? Another book I like is the Book of Acts, and it is in the Bible. You can also focus on reading the Bible for a minimum of fifteen minutes here (instead of writing in this section) or meditate on your favorite Bible verses.

You can even copy passages onto paper. I have done that. That way, you can repeat them over. It is a great way to strengthen your faith. If you are not familiar with the Bible and don’t know where to start, I recommend that you start at the New Testament’s gospels: Matthew, Mark, Luke, or John.

What is one thing that stands in the way of you accomplishing your goals? Is it a lack of faith, fear of failure, business with other tasks, or a time issue? I have learned you have to make time for the extra things. No one is going to do it for you. For example, I like to write. I have a full online teaching schedule, and I could add more students if I wanted to. But here is the thing, when you focus on your dreams, you feel a release. Not that your ‘day job’ does not matter. I love to help people overcome academic obstacles. It is rewarding, but when you focus on that one extra thing you love to do: it makes your heart happier.

My ‘extra thing’ is to write. What is yours? I have always written. I used to win contests in grade school. One of my worst memories was losing my first storybook from construction paper in the second grade. I searched the whole house and could not find it. It was such a significant loss. The first big one I ever had. If writing is not a passion, what makes you feel happier? I have done a lot of it, and I don’t regret all the hours I put into it. It has made me write better!

God has put us here to help one another and see each other through, but we each have a creative side or something we are naturally ‘good at’ or attracted to. For some, it is to paint or make music. I like to cook and bake also. Since I started doing the Mediterranean, I am not doing as much. What is one thing you would like to improve or get better at? Would you like to follow a diet plan? Try your best to keep your calories under 1,500 per day if you’re a woman and under 2,000 if you are a man. That way, you could potentially lose atleast one pound per week. What are your goals, dreams, or what is it you want to accomplish? Feel free to answer all the questions above that I’ve asked (or again, simply meditate on the bible) in your journal!

My Thanksgiving Praise!🦃🍁🙏

I always have a reason to worship you, God… Even in our loneliness we are never alone because we have you. You fill my days with hope, renew my strength, solve my problems, heal me [continually], and give me enough to sustain me! God, I love you all the days of my life and for eternity. I know I fall short. Thank you for still welcoming me.❤️

‘Well Done’❤️🙏

I was the type who would never post without make-up on or without having my hair done. I also paid attention to clothing and what I had on. One thing I’ve learned more and more as I’ve gotten older is we are here but for a moment and in the larger scheme of life appearance does not mean much. It’s who we are, who we helped, and what we did to leave our mark. I am interested in living to the fullest. I’d like to vacation more, experience things I never have before, get all dressed up, and make more holiday dinners! But sometimes we sacrifice what we want for the greater good, sometimes we put away our desires and attend to the needs of others, sometimes all we have to do is be human. Real. Ourselves. Meeting expectations of culture is fine if you feel the need to appease others but my interest lies in hearing the words, ‘well done,’ once I leave this world. I also want to accomplish some more milestones in the years to come!🙏🌆👍💕🎙😀🙌❤️

Chapter 1 from my book, Not Without God: Hope In the Storm

Zina Hermez

Chapter 1

Rain Will Come

Life as I knew it had changed. I was embarking upon a new life, and I knew things would never be the same. I found what I was searching for. Some say God works in mysterious ways. I can attest to it and discovered him through a bad vehicular accident. Through compassion from doctors, nurses, and others who were fighting for my life, I witnessed the love of Christ! I became so grateful that he saved my life.In my first book, Not Without God: A Story of Survival, I explained what happened. While trying to cross the street on my way to school on a dark rainy morning, I was hit by a car.

The bus that came to pick me up had already passed. Whenever I missed it, I would walk down to my best friend’s house. His bus came a little later, buying me more time. The pain from the windshield that cut into my abdomen was excruciating. “God, please help!” I cried. Then I was in and out of consciousness, mumbling and not making sense.

“I’m Mary Kay,” said the nurse on the Survival Life Flight; she pleaded for me to hold on for my life and told me they were taking me to the University of Michigan Hospital. “They will take excellent care of you there, Zina!”

When I finally woke up and was alert enough, I realized the setting was unfamiliar. I had never been hospitalized. Where am I? I thought. I had devastating injuries; my tibias and fibulas shattered. I sustained a spinal cord injury at the mid-thoracic level, and my spine shifted and broke. I needed rods and screws to hold together my broken leg bones. I had internal bleeding and needed to have a blood transfusion. I had a cervical fracture and wore a neck brace. A doctor told me I have a mild head injury, not from evidence of it on any report, but she said I must’ve sustained one from the fact that my body flew like that.

How will I go back to school? I pondered. I was active before this. I used to pick friends up and take them out! I was on the student council and a representative on my high school’s Multi-racial Multi-cultural diversity council. A large assembly was to be held in our gym. Teachers, students, and family members were all going to attend. The administrators were always proud of me because of my wise comments during our preparation meetings. But I could no longer attend school right after the accident. However, I heard that the people in the gym stood up in honor of me and applauded at the assembly. They recognized my contributions to the council.

I was in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) at C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital (Michigan Medicine) for a month. I was on a ventilator for a few weeks and could not eat solid food. I was on a feeding tube. The only way to communicate was by writing, and I would do so on the back of cutout paper from the hospital. After I was discharged from the PICU, I was transferred to 6 east. It was upstairs at the time. It’s where the Pediatric Medicine and Rehabilitation Unit (PMRU) was, and I stayed there for a little while. I was in the hospital for just over three months. I used to write letters addressed to God at night with a flashlight in one hand and a pencil and pad in the other. Here is a poem I wrote at the time:

Life can change,

 take it from me.

A young, healthy girl,

I never thought like this I would be.

Life was fun and carefree,

I went from school day to social gathering.

How did this happen to me?

There are doctors and nurses in my face.

As I awoke in a flash of five seconds,

 a new life I hate.

I feel that I’m strong,

 and hang in there.

But somethings I’ve lost,

 I wouldn’t spare.

I’ll try very hard to get everything back,

the young life I want to live,

I didn’t want to lose that.

I appreciate everything from family to the sun.

I have a new life and state of mind.

I left just before my birthday, and my nurses came into the room to see me with big smiles, ‘Aren’t you happy to be going home soon?’ they’d say. They planned for me to leave before my birthday to ease my pain and make my situation better. I would reluctantly smile back, but what they didn’t know is that I was terrified inside. I didn’t want to go back into the ‘real world.’ I was handicapped, and I knew life would be difficult. I knew it would be hard for my family to take care of me.

I didn’t know what was to become of me or if I would even have friends. I didn’t know if I would have the career I always wanted. My friends left just like I predicted. Fortunately, I have the career I dreamt of. I don’t know that I necessarily dreamt of it. I just had a feeling I would write and that my name would one day appear in bookstores.

But the accident was only the beginning of my sorrow. Rejection and loss were to follow. I’ve woken up out of my sleep screaming from pain and cried out to Jesus numerous times just to be able to rest. I’ve repeated individual Psalms and searched the bible to find the right answers. Depression has knocked on my door many times. I’ve called out to God in every dark hour.

My friends went about their own lives. I returned to school my senior year and had to use a wheelchair. They went off to spring break. As I’ve gotten older, it hasn’t helped the distance. I still talk about God a lot. I have a personal relationship with him, and I think that has a lot to do with why so many others have left. I don’t think people are used to that. At first, I thought people left because of my injuries. I didn’t think they wanted me to be a burden on them. Now that I’m older, I realize they have left because of who I am. My spiritual differences have set me apart.

Not Without God: Hope In the Storm describes how I’ve learned how to cope. It’s a teaching book and a narrative because I offer questions at the end of various chapters to help you write and reflect upon a time when God was there for you, for example. The questions are there to help you reflect and learn about yourself. You will need a journal. I would like for this book to be a self-help guide, but answering the questions is optional.

***

Suffering is not something we can avoid. It’s something we have to go through sometimes. Miracles don’t happen overnight. There is a light, but it doesn’t have to be at the end of the tunnel. We can be coworkers with God, but we have to do our part. By calling on the name of the Lord, we are invited in on a journey of healing, restoration, and hope. We can’t just sit there and sulk. It’s OK to get down once in a while, but we can’t stay there. We have to be resilient.

Grief can be an interesting thing. You may be grieving and not even know it. Life can take you through rough places, and sometimes it takes a while to adjust to the fact that life will never be the same. After my accident, I didn’t know what to expect. I battled a lot with self-acceptance. I didn’t know if I would be able to adjust to my new circumstances.

I was in a state of denial. I thought my life would go back to how it was before the accident, ‘normal.’ I thought I would walk again. I thought I would not have to deal with all the pain. My pain has decreased, but my physical challenge has not gone away.

I have overcome some grave challenges. When some doctors predicted I wouldn’t, learning how to walk again has been a huge miracle. I learned how to drive again by nineteen years old. By twenty, I was back to work. At twenty-one, I received an Associate in Liberal Arts Degree from the local community college and then received my Bachelor of Arts in English from Oakland University. I was an English major and a History minor.

Life began to bloom through a different lens. I prayed, eventually hoped, planned, and had good experiences again. So, I would like to suggest that you never believe you’ve hit a dead end. Life has a myriad of opportunities that await us. It’s full of new beginnings!

Through this, I have experienced God’s love on a deeper level and gained a more intimate relationship. I have always called out to him, not only in my darkest hours. I like to praise him. Praise is like a weapon. When you thank God for all you’ve got, it not only heals you but gives you strength. God has brought me through so much. I can’t help but be grateful.

He is a fortress. It should not have to take a tragedy for you to know that. God is there all the time. He will be the only one we can depend on when everyone else has left. I lost a lot after my accident; not only did I have to learn how to adjust, heal, and walk, I also had to learn how to make new friends. God led me through it. New friendships happened.

* * *

When I finally got out of the hospital and settled at home, I pondered upon how I would go back to school. I was active before this.I knew that life would not be easy. I wondered what it would be like since I could no longer just get up and walk freely. Everything took effort. I had to learn how to do wheelchair transfers, eventually walk up steps, and even exercise muscles that would not move. I had to become a problem solver.

I hoped I would one day walk the way I did before, and indeed, I am, but not the way I used to. I am not walking hands-free. I use forearm crutches (the kind with the rings around the arms) or a walker. Taking steps without holding onto anything is taxing. Many of my issues attribute to some weakness from my level of injury. I am considered a T-10/T-11 and that means the break happened in my mid to upper back. Having an injury that high can make it difficult to ambulate without assistive devices.

After my accident, I held onto what I knew though. God would bring me through because he promised. I am very grateful that I can walk. After I got out of the PICU at the University Hospital, where I was for a little over a month, I went upstairs to PMRU, and that was just after they finally took me off the feeding tube and started me on a clear liquid diet. I didn’t know what the next day would bring. I could not predict anything. But I knew that with God by my side, overcoming would become second nature! It did.

I’m someone who wants to maintain a relationship with the Lord. Whenever a connection failed, I knew Jesus would be there. Every time someone rejected me, I became closer to him. I want you to remember that in your trials. His love is sufficient. Don’t try to alter what someone doesn’t like about you or what you have no control over. If someone doesn’t accept you for who you are, it is their problem. Count on him. He is the only one that can bring you through. Your loved ones can help you, too. But first and foremost, depend upon the Lord.

Immediately after the crash, I could only mumble and fade in and out, not making much sense, but I remember how strongly I felt the Lord’s presence. On the helicopter ride, I kept thinking, hold on, Zina, hold on. There was this peaceful feeling I can’t explain. It was peace from God. The bible teaches that God will provide us with peace that surpasses all understanding. Amid the chaos, pain, and uncertainty, I felt the peace—leading and guiding.

A Prophesying Pastor

I finally got the courage to return to school my senior year. It took the help of a generous teacher and principal, Mr. Rande Horn, to help me graduate on time with the rest of my class. At commencements, I received a standing ovation. I used a walker on the platform. Everyone applauded. My assistant principal got teary-eyed when he handed me my diploma! My dad cried. My mom was proud. Many cheered and clapped.

They knew this day was a stepping-stone that would continue to point to my future success! I had lost a lot, and losing my best friends affected me badly. I didn’t understand why they didn’t want to hang out anymore. I would listen to a Christian radio program that came on every night except for on the weekends, and there was a pastor I liked. People called in for live prayer. Listening helped me get my mind off myself. The best way to take the focus off yourself is to start praying for someone else!

One night I was awoken out of my sleep by an angel or celestial spirit. The pastor’s program was on and often ran a little late, so I would usually fall asleep while listening. I had been particularly frustrated that day. I got my answers through this pastor’s prophesying.

When I looked to see who woke me, there was no one there. I thought it might be one of my sisters, who I lived with at the time, but they were both sound asleep. I knew a divine being had awoken me. So, the pastor was prophesying as he would often do. And he said: “Someone is listening. You have a problem with your back. There is some sort of problem…of…I’m not sure what happened or how, but something is wrong with your back is all I keep feeling. God wants you to know—he’s going to build a bridge for you. God is just going to build a bridge! He is going to take you above and beyond what anyone could ever think would happen for you!” he kept saying.

God wanted me to hear this. I knew that message was for me. Right away, I called the broadcast before he finished. Surprisingly, I got through the telephone line and told him my situation. I explained I was upset I could not walk. In my young mind, I thought ‘walking’ again would bring my friends back. He explained the message was for me and reiterated that God was just going to build a bridge, again, and take me above and beyond what anyone could ever think or imagine for me. He confirmed the message. His exact words were, “The Lord is just going to build a bridge. He will take you above and beyond what anyone ever thought could happen for you!”

***

As an adult, I no longer believe that I will walk without a walker or forearm crutches. The Laws of Physics won’t allow for it. I had too many injuries. I haven’t given up on trying, though, because I know that God is one of miracles, and you just never know what can happen. Recently I have found out that the wonderful Elon Musk has invented a “brain chip” through his fairly new company, Neuralink, it will address people’s issues that are similar to mine. But either way, I have made so much progress throughout the years, I am happy with how far I have come even if I never walk the way I did before the accident. First and foremost, I’m blessed to have a direct connection with the Lord.

There are different ways you can heal. Healing is more than external. Recovery does not have to only be on the outside. I have recovered on the inside. The most significant transformation that can happen is when you’ve changed on the inside, and then it reflects on the outside too. Many people get surprised at others, like me, who may accept and even rejoice in the Lord in what seems to be ‘dire’ circumstances.

But what people don’t understand is that healing comes to its peak after you realize you healed from within. Being healed is not a one-time thing or event. The Bible reads, ‘I am the Lord who continuously heals you.’ A walk with God is a lifetime experience. And it isn’t always easy. There may be hardship, rejection, or even abandonment. But God never promised us an easy life. He did promise we would get through it.

I know that there will be no pain, sadness, or rejection in heaven. The bible teaches, “For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him” (1Thessalonians 4:14).

God Will Always Bring You Through❤️

Often I find myself worrying about the unknown. What if ‘this’ or ‘that’ happens I ask myself. But when I think back to how much the Lord has saved me from and how he has guided my steps all my life, it is wrong to think he will stop doing it now. I know I have the Lord to watch over me and lead and guide. It is the one thing that helps me sleep better at night. We can all hear from him too. His voice cannot be diminished. It’s there. It’s evident. Sometimes it comes through our intuition or we may have a strong feeling about something and just know what we are supposed to do — we know God is there. He brought us through, he saved us, or showed us the way one more time. His love does not fail.❤️‍🩹

God Is My Rock and My Refuge🪨🙏🛐

This verse describes me perfectly. One thing I love about God is he will always be there. He is our stronghold. Friendships may fail and many others may disappoint, but God is the one being who will never leave or stop loving us no matter what. We can access God at any time by calling out his name. Jesus came to help us understand God’s unconditional love. It is cross like love. It is love greater than we can fathom, and it runs deeper than human love. He shed his blood; we know that there is no greater gift than to give one’s life. While we are still sinners he saved us. He came to redeem man. Yes. He is my rock. My refuge. My everlasting friend. The one I take comfort in and the one I run to when I’m in need. He leads me besides still waters. He blesses and consoles me all the days of my life.❤️‍🔥💟❤️‍🩹💞

God Is Our Ever Present Help In Time of Need❤️‍🩹

It’s true. Nothing nourishes you like spending time with our Lord. It is better than nutrition. What I mean is, when you seek God first above all things he will NOURISH you, and he will lead you to situations of wellness where you are happy and whole. I fail at this sometimes too. But I love that God is our ever constant strong hold we can run to in time of need. He will NEVER turn away, because God is Love. We can call out to him in desperate need or in the middle of the night. He will be there 24 hours a day. I love that about God.❤️‍🔥

God Is the Best Doctor❤️‍🩹

Always. God is our number one source of health. When you ask him for help, he will lead you to the right situations and people to guide you. Seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness and all else will fall into place… I’ve been listening to the Book of Acts (one of my favorite books), and I realize that what made Paul so special was that he held onto the voice of God and never let it go. We can do that. We all have that capability.❤️

God will never leave your side♥️

God is amazing. He guides our path even when we know we could be doing better. He leads and guides out of his love for us. Life doesn’t always turn out the way we expect, but one promise we have is that God will never leave us. Friends may abandon and others may turn their back, but God is the one being that will never leave your side no matter what.❤️ He will be there for an eternity…✨❤️‍🩹🎁

He will bring you through it!🙏

Yes, he is. Sometimes life seems like too much to bear. Fear and anxiety at times surround us, but when you WALK by FAITH and ask the Lord to guide keep in mind he will lead you through the struggle. When my life seems difficult and things seem to be ‘dim’ I remember that everything happens for a reason. From dark comes light.✨ He enlightens us. We gain a new perspective. Find a new found hope. Make a few adjustments. We come out on the other side.

Brian Greene, Part 2

Brian Greene explains us as exquisite particles that only last as long as “the blink of an eye.” He was recently on Lex Fridman’s podcast. Lex hosts such great physicists, authors, inventors, etc. I was waiting for Brian to come on and couldn’t wait to watch it once I discovered that Lex finally interviewed him!

Brian continues “We are just a momentary byproduct of the Laws of Physics. Every individual has the ability to set their own meaning and make their own purpose.” It’s a beautiful thing. “It could be that the universe is such that under fairly typical conditions that a star (sun) together with a planet being bathed with a low entropy, and other conditions can make (us) life naturally form.

We are creatures who recognize a kind of self reflective conscious awareness. Let’s take the earth, and there was a singular event 65,000,000 plus years ago where a rock hit the earth and destroyed dinosaurs. If that hadn’t happened, maybe they would still rule the planet. Brian imagines there is A LOT of life out there, but they don’t all try to make sense of it as WE DO. They just go about living and surviving. We are different, though.

How are you sure that others who you look at are fully conscious beings? Your existence exists in your mind. You are a brain in a vat. We all are. Your observation that others are existing is just that: an observation. It just “seems” like they are. Human consciousness, in my opinion, is a gift from God. God tells us that we are formed in his likeness and image, and I personally don’t think “consciousness” ends when we leave this earth.

Who knows? Heaven may simply be another universe. I have learned through my studies of physics that there are many. Brian continues and questions how a particle can come to consciousness. Technically, we are particles according to physics. My answer, again, is God. God can do anything. He can develop the universe. He can make dinosaurs. He can create string theory. He can make multiverses and cosmic bubble baths. He can make entanglement (after all, we are “entangled” with him).

He can make the moon, the stars, the galaxies (star systems). He can do anything. Brian thinks that a long time from now, we will smile at those in the 20th or 21st century who thought consciousness was so mysterious. It’s just a “thing” that happens when particles form together. When you develop systems (robots, AI), they also become “conscious.” It is the ability to experience the world and animals do not experience it in the same way.

The Big Bang or Big “event” as I like to call it was a tiny nugget of space time that yields everything we see today. What happened a millionth of a second after that Big Bang? It’s not really that controversial, Brian says. It is early universe cosmology.

I am going to attach the full interview in case you are interested in watching it:

Don’t Let Your Faith Grow Weary

We don’t depend on God enough. At times I just stop what I’m doing to thank the Lord, but I need to do it more. He showers me with miracles and helps me overcome even when the situation looks bleak. He surpasses my expectations every time, and when I’m disappointed he is there to pick me up and bring me back to life! It’s really hard when you’re down in the dumps; sometimes it’s hard to see his presence or even realize he’s there. Sometimes it takes a test of your faith to see how well you believe despite any pain and you grow closer to God. You see his blessings. You realize life is imperfect but we have a perfect God. So all things work together unto good no matter what…🕯🛐✨❤️‍🔥

Brian Greene on Lex Fridman’s podcast, Part 1☄️

‘Life is really what you make of it,’ says Brian Greene, world renownedphysicist and New York Times bestselling author. Brian says we’re all in a position of only being aware of our own conscience being though we can only judge that others are conscience by their behavior. There is something special about us. Fish and dogs aren’t able to come up with the ideas that we are. How can it be that a particle can create consciousness? Brian says.

In my opinion, it’s God. I believe in a supreme intelligence—Holy Father (God). His size spans the entire earth and he is too big to make out visually. I’m not sure how big he is, but he’s huge! His son, Jesus, is a reflection of his love.❤️‍🩹 All loving and kind. God is full of power amd light.✨ He’s the creator of the heavens and earth! Brian Greene says that he doesn’t believe there is no God. He has said he just doesn’t know.

By the way, he keeps the largest Christmas trees in his home at Christmastime!🎄 That’s another detail he’s shared. His views are accurate. We are beings just passing through; the whole universe will be destroyed due to entropy at some point. We don’t know when that will be (probably much further down the road). But in the meantime we are to make the best of life, enjoy it, and be kind to all of humankind.❤️‍🔥🙏⚛️✨🌤

God has a way of working things out!

It’s true. He is a God of mystery. A God of favor. A God who makes the unthinkable come true. Just when you believe that things won’t change and life will forever be the same. Remember, God is one of change not routine. We tend to like routine because we know what to expect. But when you step out of your comfort zone, enact a little more faith, and believe, miracles happen!✨ God does not want you to be stagnant. He wants you to make your dreams happen!☁️🌤💖

God Is One of Order✨⚛️🙏

It’s true. He is the reason for my existence and the reason why I move. ‘Without God I am nothing’ does not mean I don’t recognize my individuality it just means that I acknowledge the fact that he has made me! The greatest philosophers debate about where consciousness comes from and verify that our thoughts come from ‘somewhere!’ Although it seems like we choose our thoughts and actions that is not necessarily the case. What I mean is, we have a cortex (the outer surface of the brain) that is constantly trying to appease our body (limbic system). It sends messages to our body through neurons all day. It takes outside information from the environment and processes it. Our behaviors, actions, and thoughts seem to be our own, but if you think about it experiences ‘just appear,’ according to Sam Harris, an American philosopher and neuroscientist. You see everything is in cosmic✨ order. The greatest physicists in the world, such as Brian Greene, have even debated about whether or not we really have free will. Brian says there is an order of things. We are ‘actors’ in this universe🪐 in alignment with that divine order. However, to say we don’t have choices would not be fair. Science has also discovered that an electron or ‘particle’ can appear in different parts of a wave🌊 while doing the ‘double split experiment.’ This has taught us that the fact that the electron can come up in different parts of the wave means we also have ‘different routes’ we can take! in physics, we are technically a ’particle.’ God has a plan for everything though. Even for when we mess up. Whether we are moving here through complete divine order or a combination of our choices and intuition, God is in the drivers seat no matter what. Frankly, I wouldn’t have it any other way! 🔮⚛️✝️💖✨🪐🙏

God Is Amazing💖

When I think about all God has done in my life I marvel. Now that doesn’t mean my life is perfect or that I have not had hardship—but when I think of all he’s brought me through I can’t help but stand in awe at how amazing he is! God has been the one thing that has always remained true. I’m sure you can relate. How often have you been abandoned with only God there to help you? You call out to him whether out loud or in your heart and he hears you. He comes to your aid. He rescues you. He gives you the sunshine☀️ in the morning and bright stars at night to mark the end of the day.🌟 He gives you enough love to fill your cup even when times are tough. It’s the friendly smile, caring call, his mighty Word, his house of worship, you know you will make it! He has uplifted you. Never give up on God or life because no matter how hard it gets he’s always there to give you another day and help you! His love is unconditional and like no other. There’s something God can bring that no one else can.❤️☀️💖🙏💚💐✨👑

Elon Musk, Part 2🚀💻🤖

I think this is the single best scientific YouTube interview I have ever watched! And I have watched many! Elon is brilliant and the more I listen to him the more I learn. He says AI (Artificial Intelligence) in the future could be used as a weapon (that’s scary); however, AI will continue to help us make advancements in technology and even medicine.

The problem is if AI gets larger than we are, or if there is more AI than there is us that could be a problem. What he was saying was mind blowing. A company is just a cybernetic collective of people and machines. True. When you think of it that way it’s easy to fathom how some are so successful. He and Joe Rogan even question whether we are all one giant cybernetic collective due to networks like Google and other social networks like Facebook and Twitter. We are constantly connected to AI now whether we realize it or not. After you are gone, your ghost will be living here.

We are the ones building the AI even though we are biological. The percentage of intelligence that is not human is increasing. How often can you NOT get a human on the phone or simply go through AI to get your answers when you call large companies like Amazon, for example. I mean, you can get a human on the phone at most places like USPS after going through a bunch of AI.

The percentage of intelligence that is not human is increasing and he says that eventually we will represent a very small percentage of intelligence. The internet is just a projection of our lymphatic system, but of course it is not human and made up of our lymphatic system. The more lymphatic resonance the more engagement. It’s why Instagram is so enticing. You get more images and more video. It appeals to our Lymphatic system.

We are getting more and more connected. Elon says he has tried to warm people to slow down for a long time now about AI taking over. However, our ‘bandwith’ is still slow. So, I guess that’s a good thing. Lol Nobody listened to him about AI, he says.

What’s crazy is he starts to talk about what is going to happen. And this video was recorded three years ago. He says there will be some sort of technology that is new that may cause damage or death, and there will be an outcry and investigation. Years will pass. There will be an insight committee and rules and regulations. Omg. Coronavirus Pandemic?

Then he compares the enacting of seatbelts that took many years. It’s almost like he was having a prophetic moment about the coming on of the pandemic and MASKS or the vaccine. Wowie wow! His brilliance is inspiring. Most of all he’s a nice guy. He wants to cure people with diseases caused by the brain. For example, having a spinal cord injury will one day be like having a common cold. It will be easy to cure.

So will Alzheimer’s and other ‘brain’ diseases where messages can get corrupted. It will be AI performing the surgery not a doctor and he will be on standby though. They will insert “threads” into your brain that will make you function normally. A number of diseases will be cured through this technology and he is developing it now through his Neuralink company recently launched in 2016.

At some point, our capabilities can be out of this world, literally. I am talking “Iron Man’ capabilities according to Elon. YOU HAVE TO WATCH IT! HERE IS THIS LINK BELOW!

Understand that God has already made you with “computing” power because God is the greatest computer disginer that has ever lived. In my opinion, if we are living in assimilation and in some sort of cyborg collective it is God’s collective. God is the greatest scientist ath has ever lived!🙏✨👑🌐🌍🪐💫

God Can Change Everything🌟

You never know what life has in store, and it’s easy to think that things will never change. We get used to routines and imagine that our life will always be the same. But life is a process and you are evolving. That means that anything can change. God is in the driver’s seat. But how much effort you put in or care you take makes a difference. You can work with God to make your dreams happen.❤️ Although he always knows what’s best. You have a God who loves you and made the hundreds of billions of stars✨, earth🌎, sun☀️, and moon🌙 just for you!

With God All Things Are Possible♥️

It’s true. In an eternal universe such as the one we’re in not only is anything possible, but if you wait long enough ‘it’s probable,’ said the world-renowned physicist and NY Times best-selling author, Brain Greene. You see not only can ANYTHING happen. If you wait long enough your dreams can come true (if they already haven’t). What this means is ALL those things you thought will never happen can come to fruition before your eyes👀. It’ll even leave you thinking, ‘How did this happen?’ Stay motivated. Work hard. Never give up. Anything (allowed within the Laws of Physics) can happen to you! You would be surprised by just how much God wants to happen in your life! He is ALL giving, ALL knowing, and loves each of us as if we’re the only ones!❤️

God’s Love for You Is Deep♥️

It’s true, and since God made EVERYTHING his love for you is evident. It’s deeper than the sea🌊. God can’t not love you because God Is Love. He created it, and it is all encompassing. Earthly people mistake tribulation or suffering with the idea that God does not love them. But the Bible tells us to ‘count it all joy’ when we fall into various trials. He is perfecting a work in us. We will come out of it on the side of glory. Keep your eyes on him. His love is deeper than the ocean and nothing can stop you. No hardship, no abandonment, no rejection, nor pain or harm shall overtake you. If God is for you then who can be against you? Some Christians tend to think all they have to do is listen to God, and they believe his words only come from the Holy Bible. This can be dangerous thinking when parts of the Bible have been misinterpreted. God is the creator of EVERYTHING. His only resource IS NOT the Bible. We have to be keen, sharp as a two edged sword, and know how to relate to him. His love is unconditional, and he also speaks to us through each other.

I trust you, God!

Dear Lord, I trust you when I’m uncertain of what’s going on. I trust you when things ‘don’t look good.’ I know that with you things are never as they seem. Every end has a new beginning and every tragedy has a multitude of blessings associated with it. Not that I am happy with disappointment or adversity, but I have learned to be content in all situations. Or I should say I am learning. God, your love is enough indeed. Often I’m reaching for ‘more.’ I’m not sure what ‘more’ is because you are everything. You formed me ‘in my mother’s womb’ you always knew me! You have always been with me and will never leave my side from now and for eternity. Thank you! You are a God that is true and loves me.♥️💖💙

Be still (does not mean do nothing)!

This is one of the best things we can do. However, people often take this quote to mean they should do nothing. Being still does not mean we are to do nothing. It means you have to listen to his voice, and actively seek after him along with his direction. How do you find God’s voice? It typically comes from your intuition. Something you feel strongly about may be prompted by him. Anything good, true, whole, pure, or right comes from the Father of Lights.✨ He wants what’s best. You can also hear him better in the silence, during meditation, at church, or when you’re surrounded by loved ones. God speaks to us through them too because his presence is in all of us. But you have to be able to discern. God will help you discern if you ask him to. Don’t just do what someone told you to do. Do what God would have you to do. There is a difference. Sometimes we make mistakes. We are not ‘still.’ We worry or fret. We don’t seek his wise counsel. God forgives us for those times too. He knows we’re human. We fall into error. Nonetheless, he doesn’t love us any less. Some people ‘start their day’ with God by saying prayers. Some like to talk with him at night when it’s quiet. Everyone has their way of reaching out. The beautiful thing is we have access to him twenty-four hours a day. He’s always there to pick us back up when we fall.

Some things you may want to know, Part 6

According to physics, you are a ‘particle.’ As a matter of fact, you are nothing more than ‘a bag of particles.’ -Brian Greene Better yet, you are comparable to an electron that gives off light.✨ Keep in mind though, the electron can also be a wave. Actually, you are a wave—the entire universe is a wave!🌊 This will be difficult to understand if you don’t know much about Quantum mechanics and how everything is broken down into its tiniest parts. But think outside of the box for a moment. It seems you are living in a three-D dimensional world, but now the greatest physicists in the world 🌍 believe it may be a 2 D dimensional surface with the appearance of a 3 D world. That would mean you are more of a hologram than you realize. Think about it, can you see your natural face without looking into a mirror or by viewing a photo? Well, don’t get all caught up in the fact that you may be a hologram. Just Google search the Holographic Principle if you’re really interested. God is the coolest computer designer that has ever existed. But back to the electron for a moment, it can be a point or wave depending upon how you look at it. The electron can pop up into different parts of a wave. You as an ‘electron’ can go many different routes, make many different choices, and there is more than one possibility for you. God knows and sees all. He even foresees the route you will take when you fail. After it, he is there to pick you back up and fix your mistake. His love is unconditional,❤️ He is all-knowing. Omnipresent. And magnificent!✨✨💖🙏🌊👍🪐💙🌍😀

If it’s meant to be, it will happen💕

This is true. The greatest physicists have debated whether or not free will exists. I believe it does to some extent. But maybe not as much as we think it does. Everything is in cosmic order. I believe we are moving here through our imagination, but God ordains certain things to happen and certain people to be sent. Through our choices, we bring our destiny to fruition. That is why I do believe we have free will because there are choices we can make and different routes we can take. However, we can’t control everything. We can’t control when there is a hurricane, for example. We can’t control the way certain things turn out. However, we can be coworkers with God to make the best out of life and to make the right decisions. He gives us that ability, even if our choices are predetermined, it feels like they aren’t. We just have to trust that God is always in the driver’s seat and even when we fail or suffer loss, he has a plan. “For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all (2 Cor. 4:17).✨💫🙏

Some things you may want to know, Part 5!

In the next one hundred years things will change. Jobs of the future will change. Five hundred years from now there may even be time travel. Teleportation! We NOW can see actual thoughts as they are generated inside the living brain through an MRI, and it is a wonderful advancement.

We can even “upload” memories. Next, it will be in Alzheimer’s patients. There will be a brain “memory” chip. A patient will push the chip and remember their address, where they are, the names of relatives, etc. One day, we may even have something like “The Matrix.” Have you ever felt like life may be an illusion? I know I have. According to Michio Kaku, world famous physicist, this is perfectly normal.

The great physicists have questioned that life is an illusion before, or that time is an illusion for that matter. It is because there is no difference between past, present, and future in space time. The future has already happened. We just don’t know it. Why do you think there is a competition by the world’s richest billionaires to go to space? They dream and hope for us to even “colonize” there. Michio, again, says that idea is not far fetched. We will be long gone by the time it happens, though.

For example, weddings may even happen on the moon. Can you imagine? It is a three day trip. Elon Musk is now creating his own moon rockets through his billion dollar enterprise, SpaceX. Elon is one of the richest men in the world! If not THE richest. Jeff Bezos, through his Blue Origin company, just made a trip to space recently! He is the founder of Amazon and former CEO.

You may ask why? Why bother to leave the earth anyway? We are defenseless against meteor impacts. We are defenseless at times due to mother nature. Take a look at the recent hurricanes. Lives lost in New York, flooding, etc. You see, Michio says, the dinosaurs did not have a space program 65,000,000 plus years ago when they became extinct. That is why they are not here today. Lol

75,000 years ago there was a cataclysmic event called the ‘Toba volcano’ event that lasted ten long years! Humans almost became extinct. We’ve been around a long time. It’s why we’re developing outer space programs, again, says Michio.:-)

Apparently, there are three types of alien life that potentially exist (I believe they do); they are different types of “life” who occupy planets or get their energy from stars. I believe we are a ‘young planet,’ again, and physics has confirmed it. If we weren’t, we’d be a Type 1. We would modify the weather: hurricanes, and earthquakes. What’s happening now–the flooding wouldn’t be a problem.

While watching this special I am referring to with Michio Kaku, I also learned: Type 2 would be stellar or use/work around the power of the stars like in Star Trek. Type three would be Galactic. They would be a Star Wars type and travel from planet to planet. Again, I think they’re out there. As a matter of fact, I know they are because I’ve had a dream/vision. Well, I should call it a “visit.” I’ve had a visit. I won’t get into it too much, but I will write about it in a later post. I have already written on it a few times.

Many Christians believe we are living in the “end times.” In my opinion, they often misinterpret the Book of Revelations, especially with their whole “Rapture” idea. One person will be taken; one person will be left. It sounds bizarre in my opinion. I am a Christian, but I tend to be more progressive in my thinking. As one of my favorite authors/pastors put it: “We pray for heaven to come down on EARTH.” We won’t be taken up in the “sky.” It will happen here. That is why we have to take care of our planet and animal kingdom.

We are lacking in this area. I am going to attach the video of Greg Boyd, he’s a New York Times Best selling author, here is the link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HoWHzuYF798

I hope you enjoy it! It explains why the Rapture is a bad idea and how to accurately interpret some of those confusing passage in scripture.

Lastly, I want to add that one of my favorite physicists, Briane Greene, says the world won’t end for a long time. There have always been hurricanes and wars. There have even been PANDEMICS; even though it’s been a while. But it doesn’t mean it is the end. Brian has said that the universe will probably be destroyed once entropy has it’s way. The universe may keep expanding and the expansion may be too much, or the sun may even swallow the earth up in five billion years or so.

Brian admits it can happen sooner. God can do anything. We don’t know when the world will end. We can just do our best to enjoy every day and take life as it comes. We can try to overcome pain and do our best to be happy!

Dear God, thank you!❤️

Dear God, you have been there all my life. I understand you better now than I have before. You are awesome, indeed. Words can’t describe how amazing you are. No adjective is big enough. Your love endures the test of time because you are timeless. There is no man made clock for you. Thus, I am timeless too. So glad I get to spend eternity with you. Your love is enough even though I’ve complained a lot while on earth. Thank you for loving me, forgiving me, and always taking me back. Thank you for being my God.♥️💜💞

Some things you may want to know, Part 4!

On average, EVERY single star🌟 has a planet🪐 going around it. One fifth of them have an “earth”🌍 sized planet going around it. How many galaxies✨ are there? There are about a hundred billion galaxies with a hundred billion STARS in EACH one! Do you really think we are alone? In this lifetime, we have already picked up signals.🛸

If there are alien life forms (I believe there are), there are three types. I will explain. But of course first we would want to decipher their language. So, a type one civilization is capable of harnessing planetary🪐 power. They would manage or modify the weather: earthquakes, hurricanes💨, etc. Type 2 would be stellar⭐️. They would play with stars and use the energy out put of a star like in Star Trek! Type three would be galactic: they would roam the galactic space lanes like in Star Wars!☄️

There are planets, stars, and galaxies (and we are made of the same elements that stars are🌠), and that’s it. Most of the universe is made up of dark energy. It’s the energy of ‘nothing.’ It’s a result of the “Big Bang” or Big event when God said, “Let there be light💫.” There was no “bang” because there were no air molecules; thus, there was no noise at that time. Quantum physicists don’t believe the “big event” happened only once. They believe in the multi-verse theory and that we are living in a cosmic bubble with multiple universes as a result of multiple “let there be lights💫.”

Our universe had a beginning, but there are other bubble universes out there that are expanding beyond our three dimensional comprehension. It is hyper space; it is eleven dimensional hyper space. String theorists tell us. The Big “event” is nothing but the collision of universes, according to Michio Kaku (famous world renowned physicist). String theory teaches that inside the “nucleus,” which we once thought was the tiniest particle, is a tiny heart string♥️. God created these tiny heart strings that vibrate and EVERYTHING is made up of this “heart” string. God created a symphony🎶!

Einstein didn’t believe in a personal God; he believe in a God defined as a “God of Spinoza.” God as a singular self-subsistent substance, with both matter and thought being attributes of such. He believed that God was orderly and that God is organized and not random. On a single sheet of paper we can write all the known Laws of the universe. He believed God is beautiful. We can write down Einstein’s equation (one inch long) and string theory is a lot longer, but you can write it all on one piece of paper. The PURPOSE of science✳️ is to determine how the heavens go: the purpose of religion is to figure out how to go to heaven, says Michio!

By the way, I believe in a personal God. The one who parted the Red Sea. I believe in Jesus Christ. His son. I believe in the Holy Trinity. At the same time, I believe that God is orderly, organized, beautiful and amazing. In a way, I believe Holy Father is like a “God of Spinoza.” I also believe that God is all loving and that he loves unconditionally. I don’t focus on condemnation. I believe God is omnipresent (he can be everywhere all at once!).

I believe he is awesome! I believe that “mind can’t contain” as the bible says, “what the Lord has prepared.” I also believe that if there are aliens it doesn’t mean God loves us any less. My God is big enough to love me as if I’m the only one here! You know what I mean? God’s love is not limited by how massive his universe(s) are. We are intelligent beings. God created us. We are his children. We are made to rule over creatures of the land and sea. We are brought to consciousness and may feel like we have free will.

I believe we do to some degree. Some physicists would also argue that everything is in cosmic order and that “free will” is more of an illusion. I believe that God is the greatest Chess player. He knows every way that something can go. He has a plan for even when we fail. That is the way that the famous pastor, Greg Boyd, explained it.

Robots are getting smarter and smarter. They are about as smart as a cockroach. In the coming years, they may become as smart as a cat or a dog. If they ever become as smart as monkeys they may become dangerous. Aliens from out in space can be genetically and cybernetically advanced, according to Micho Kaku! And…the “chip,” folks…will be made for Alzheimer’s patients. It will NOT be made for us. I mean, it WON’T be in the Covid 19 vaccine! Lol🤣

To learn more about these topics, I recommend you watch this video. My notes are based off this podcast I watched with Lex Fridman and Michio Kaku (world renowned physicist, professor, and author!). Here is the link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kD5yc1LQrpQ

The reason I’m not worried: God💗

We are living in perilous times. A pandemic. There is war. Life is not exactly the way it ‘used to be,’ but it isn’t different from what it has been. There has been famine, terrorism, hurricanes and earthquakes throughout history. It’s been a hundred years since the Spanish Influenza. So some may think all this has never happened before. It has. Now it’s just wrapped up in a whole lot of politics. The reasons I’m not worried: God.💞 You can be in the lion’s den, in the face of an earthquake or stuck in Afghanistan! God will not forsake you. As a matter of fact, he will give you a plan. He will help you. He may show you the way to escape or what steps to take to ensure your safety. We know that things don’t always work out that way. But the universe never promised to make sense. We have to keep on movin,’ have faith, and never give up! God will be there in your darkest hour. Actually, he makes us strong in our weakness.💕💘💝

God’s Love won’t fail💕

This verse is self explanatory. Friendships may end. The world may pass away, but God’s love will remain. It is unconditional and everlasting. Even when you mess up, it will be there. Even when you fail him, he will stay. When you are all alone, he will comfort. God will send you help. He will be a fortress and enough. He will give you guidance. You will know the next step to take. He will tell you which way to go. Not only does he not abandon, but he directs you to the path that will heal. God’s love is infinite. You can never have too much or experience all of it. It’s guaranteed. All you have to do is call on him. He will be there with loving arms to help.💞🛐😄🙌

God can change everything💓

God can change everything. It’s true. He can make a bad day good. Cause you to get well. Turn your life around. God can make everything new. Never doubt God’s love or healing capabilities. Endings become rebirths. He restores broken hearts and puts the right people in your life. The world may seem to be falling apart, but one stagnant thing is God’s unconditional love. Not only that, he will always be there with his divine powers to help you.✨☀️☄️⚛️😄

We have to do our best!

Some people would like a clear map of where their life is going. But life can be unpredictable. That’s why we have to trust in God. We can work to make our dreams happen. God wants that. We can be ‘co workers’ with God to make our goals come alive so long as we do our part. What I mean is nothing will just happen if we don’t provide action. We have to plan and work hard. We have to ‘do our best’ and let God handle the rest. Doing our best can mean a lot. It can require hard work and sacrifice. This quote doesn’t say to only do half, nor does it say to only do your part. It says to ‘do your best.’ Are you doing your best in all areas? Are you falling short in some parts? Let’s reflect on this. How can we do our best for ourselves and those around us?

Lord, thank you for being you!♥️

Dear Lord, I am far from perfect and have failed you. I’ve failed numerous times. I’ve failed at not being angry. I’ve failed at times by not being outraged. I know I have imperfections, and that is only to name a few. I’m grateful that you’re a God who always takes me back and loves me no matter what. I would have no ticket to heaven if it weren’t for you. Thank you for not only being loving but for being cross-like love! God, your love is unconditional! Your omnipresence is magnificent! I can’t even fathom all the good you possess! But thank you for being my God. Thank you for being my love!♥️

God Is a Problem-Solver💞

One thing I love about God is he is just a call away. All you have to do is say his name. He’ll come running to you. It’s instantaneous. You don’t have to wait. You don’t have to wonder if he’s there. The Lord has left us an ‘advocate.’ The Holy Spirit to help us and be with us forever. That means you are never alone. That means you have divine power. This power will lift you up, help you make decisions, and overcome. One thing we don’t realize enough is that God is a personal one. He’s a helper and a friend. He’s a problem solver. He is unconventional! He is not old fashioned. He is not just some old guy with a beard sitting up in the sky. If you ask for him to lead and guide, he will. There will be no doubt or shadow of turning.

God will be there♥️

When you go through deep waters, God will be with you. You cannot separate yourself from him even if you try. You are ‘entangled’ with Christ. Whatever you go through, he goes through whether or not you realize it. He feels our pain; he is comfort and helps in time of trouble. Now that doesn’t mean the universe will conform to you. What I mean is, there is heartbreak and loss. Even when he is there, we deal with pain. Part of the promise is that he will bring you through. You will come out stronger and know who you are. You never have to go through it alone. He will hold you. He will wake you up. He’ll help you put one foot in front of the other. No matter what you go through (happiness or sadness), God will be there.

Perfect Love Casts Out Fear♥️

I need to do this more. When I ‘pray myself’ out of fear it tends to work. What does that look like? I talk to God out loud. I tell him I’m an overcomer. I remind myself (and him) that I think things through. I talk to him about how long we’ve been together (Jesus and I), sorting problems out and finding solutions. I remember all the times he’s sent me the right people and how he continues to. I remind myself that the ones who left used their time up. They were no longer of use, especially if they were in opposition to God’s plan.🙏 I remind myself of what he’s brought me through. I remind myself he’s never failed me. I talk out loud and tell myself I can. When your power rests in God, there is no such thing as failure. Sometimes you are redirected, and sometimes you fall, but you get back up. You make it. You find a way. There is success because with God all things are possible.

I Will Call Upon Your Name🛐

‘Spirit lead me where my trust is without borders. Let me walk upon the waters.🌊 Wherever You would call me.’ If these lyrics sound familiar, then you’ve heard of the Hillsong UNITED ‘Oceans’ song! It’s a song I love.❤️ Here is the link to the article I wrote after I went to their concert! https://notwithoutgod.net/?s=Hillsong+music This image stuck out to me. ‘I will call upon Your name. Keep my eyes above the waves. My soul will rest in Your embrace. I am Yours. And You are mine.’♥️ We are living in unpredictable times. I believe COVID 19 has weakened our planet as a whole. I don’t think it’s coincidental right now. What’s happening in the world.🥲🙏 Terror is taking over in some parts. There is fear of getting sick. Earthquakes in Haiti have left devastating consequences. I’m at the point where I’d like to throw my hands up and sing, ‘Spirit lead me where my trust is without borders. Let me walk upon the waters. Wherever You would call me.’ At times I have a feeling exactly where he is calling me. I have to ask him to ‘Take me deeper than my feet could ever wander. So my faith will be made stronger. In the presence of my Savior.’ We are living in harsh times. Since we are all connected, we are all affected. Unlike many people, I don’t believe it is the end of the world soon. Wars have taken place since the beginning of time. Disease (pandemics) is not new and neither are natural disasters. Physics explains we may be at ‘level’ four of the Empire State Building. Let’s imagine the world will end when entropy has its way and we are at the top of the Empire State Building, which we will call level ten. Now add a bunch of zeroes. The world is not ending anytime soon. What has to end is our division. What has to end is our separation. Our hatred and fighting. What we value as good isn’t the same as what others do. Let’s be a ‘city on a hill.’ A light that shines so bright it illuminates. It starts with one. It starts with us.🙏🙏🙏

Last night at church☦️⛪

Here are pictures from my little church walk last night!☀️🎑 The parking lot was nearly empty, and I have taken long walks at this church numerous times. It’s been a way to clear my head when I have a lot on my mind and to pray, of course. Lately I’ve been asking God to forgive me for any feelings of fear. I know I have a job to do here. But considering the state the world is in, I guess it makes sense. I like to get my exercise here, release my thoughts and talk with him. One thing I’ve always noticed is it is much easier to hear God’s voice after you get away from the noise. I was considering whether I should post this or not. I look very casual and have no make up on. But I thought about how my life has changed. Since the pandemic started I’ve been teaching full time from home. I don’t have to get up and go to work every day. In a way, I miss that. I miss the way life used to be. I know this is my new normal. Nonetheless, I feel blessed. God never promised us an easy life, but one that we would get through.

Trust God

Life is not perfect; but God’s love is. It is made perfect in weakness; there is no fear in love. This is biblical. That is not to say life is perfect or that the world is perfect, though. ‘The universe doesn’t have to make sense to us’ is how one of my favorite physicists put it.

We are moving here through entropy, although we call it ‘time.’ Time is manmade, and we even have different time zones. That is because time is relative based on where you are positioned. “It is not the same for everyone” is how Einstein explained it.

Often we hear others say, “God’s timing is perfect.” What does that mean anyway? A million years to God is not the same as it would be for us. He is eternal. At the start of the universe (that some like to call, “The Big Bang”), I will call it the “Big event,” only because there was no bang. There were no air molecules at that time. God said, “Let there be light.” And there was light.

Let’s not complicate things. Everything you see today is made up of light. Even us. Did you know that the elements in our bodies are the same elements that are in stardust? It’s true. That’s not to say we don’t have organs or blood, but we are made of stardust. We are also made up of atoms. We are made of billions and billions of atoms that never die.

It’s a primary rule of physics. Scripture also tells us we are made in his likeness and image, and in the Bible there are several places where God is called light. He is the light of the world. He is light and in him there can be no darkness at all. God is light and he created it.

When we see something happening that doesn’t seem “God-like,” we must trust in God and carry our cross. Again, the world doesn’t have to cater to us. We have to conform and learn how to adapt. Now, that is NOT to say that we have to conform to the world. But we ARE living in the world, so we have to live amongst one another in acceptance and love.

We have to forgive, and that is hard to do at times. But as you know, these are some of the first commandments. Love your neighbor as yourself; forgive and let it go. Turn the “other cheek.” In a world divided like it never has been, this may seem hard.

But keep in mind that God is love. And that we must trust him no matter what. God has made his son heir of all things, through who he has also made the universe (Hebrews 1:2). God loves us indiscriminately, let’s at least do our very best!

God Is Love♥️

God is not just loving; God is cross-like love. God is not just peace; God is cross-like peace. The violent portraits people paint of God at times are not accurate. God doesn’t inflict harm on us; he sometimes allows things to happen. Why that is we can’t even begin to understand. This is when we have to trust. But keep in mind that out of evil comes good. It’s like a proton’s relationship to a neutron. There cannot be a loss without gain or a tragedy without glory, for that matter. God is scientific. Sorrow and joy are interchangeable. Again, we don’t always know why bad things happen. Often it’s our fault. Nonetheless, God loves us more than we can know or fathom. He is Love eternal. ♥️🛐✳️✨☀️🌠

Our Solar System🪐🌍🌠

Sometimes it seems like the sun☀️ is moving. It is not the sun that moves; it is the planets that move. We move, for example, and Mars moves also. Within one to two months, it can move quite far from one part of the sky to the other.

Mars is a planet that has seasons like we do. Not all planets do. Mars actually had water (we found that out in the 1950s and 1960s). Could there have been life? Mars also has two small moons🌕🌖. We have one.

As you know, the rover that recently landed on Mars, Perseverance, made a huge breakthrough by landing on such a rough terrain. It was a first time event that will mark history. It happened last year in August.

It gets so cold on Mars it can be like -100 Fahrenheit. The air is very thin. Your weight on Mars would be one third of what it is here. Mars is called the red planet. There is no “blue” or water anymore.

Mars is actually small. It’s only one fourth of the diameter on earth. It has low gravity. However, billions of years ago Mars was covered in water. So what happened? On earth, wherever water appears, life appears🌊🐃.

Was there life on Mars that disappeared and dried up? The dinosaurs on earth became extinct 65,000,000 plus years ago. The rover, again, Perseverance is searching to see if there was ever life on Mars.

The mission is using a special device to explore the soil. Perseverance will leave tubes of soil on Mars for eight years and then bring them back to earth to detect if there was ever life there.

The sky in Mars is kind of pinkish. Mars is just one sibling planet, though. There are many other planets, so we can begin by looking at planets nearest to the sun🌞. Mercury and Venus are close by.

One difference between Venus and Mercury is that Mercury can get really hot and cold at the same time. There can be a 1000 degree difference between night and day. Mercury is not even the hottest planet. Venus is the hottest.

It’s not as close to the sun as Mercury, but it’s hotter at times. Venus is always 860 F. It doesn’t change. The air is thick; it’s like being half a mile down in the ocean. The pressure is intense. NASA observes Venus from orbit through a radar map.

Most of Venus consists of rolling planes, and it’s kind of like Iowa. There are no oceans. But there are volcanoes. Venus is sometimes called the sister of the earth, but it is incredibly different.

Which planet would you want to go to first, if the time ever comes to send humans to other planets? Let’s take a look at some more planets near the earth. Saturn is famous for its rings around it. Jupiter🪐 is famous for the clouds.

Juno is a mission that’s orbiting Jupiter by NASA. There is at least one mission to every single planet in the solar system. They are all robots; we haven’t sent a human yet. The storms on Jupiter go on for decades and hundreds of years. We suspect there was a storm even going on for millions!

That is a little background on our solar system in our galaxy, the Milky Way🌌. Marvel at all the Lord has done. There are about 125 billion galaxies in the observable universe that we know of so far. But I’m sure there’s more! I believe it’s infinite and that there are multiverses.

The Milky Way is just one galaxy. Scientists estimate that there may be tens of billions of solar systems in our galaxy, alone, perhaps as many as 100 billion. Think about that. Ponder on God’s grandeur! Never doubt his power and magnificence. He holds the galaxies and stars in place; he will hold you together also!

God’s Love Is Real

God’s love never fails. Where there are friendships, they may fade. Where there is love, it may break. But God’s love is different: it in unconditional, it does not disappoint. It will bring you through anything if you seek after it. You won’t ‘faint.’ You will stand tall. You won’t be afraid. Faith will overcome fear, and you will have peace in your heart. God’s promises don’t mean you will never get hurt, but the promise is that he will bring you through if you seek after him. God’s love never fades.💕💞💓

I’ll praise him all the days of my life♥️

I’ll praise Him in the storm⛈. I’ll praise Him in a loss. I’ll praise him when I’m down and when I don’t know what’s going on. I’ll praise him when I have no strength to praise; I’ll praise Him in my heart. I’ll praise him when he takes. I’ll praise him when there seems to be no way
