The reason I’m not worried: God💗

We are living in perilous times. A pandemic. There is war. Life is not exactly the way it ‘used to be,’ but it isn’t different from what it has been. There has been famine, terrorism, hurricanes and earthquakes throughout history. It’s been a hundred years since the Spanish Influenza. So some may think all this has never happened before. It has. Now it’s just wrapped up in a whole lot of politics. The reasons I’m not worried: God.💞 You can be in the lion’s den, in the face of an earthquake or stuck in Afghanistan! God will not forsake you. As a matter of fact, he will give you a plan. He will help you. He may show you the way to escape or what steps to take to ensure your safety. We know that things don’t always work out that way. But the universe never promised to make sense. We have to keep on movin,’ have faith, and never give up! God will be there in your darkest hour. Actually, he makes us strong in our weakness.💕💘💝

Going out!

This was my attempt at going out the other night and putting on a little make-up! Yes, I emphasize ‘little’ because I’ve never liked wearing make-up with a mask on my face! Although masks are not required as much as they were before, I have not been vaccinated and don’t want to take any chances! Life has changed. While I’ve pretty much gotten used to this ‘new normal,’ I realize how frail life is and want to stay as healthy as I can. Tomorrow’s agenda: doctor’s appointment and teaching students online! I’ve been so busy with work.

It is better to give than to receive

As we all know, and psychologists say it is those who give that ‘receive’ the most. The world has changed though. We may not be as apt to share with all the chaos going on around us. We’re trying to recover from a pandemic. Many are still unemployed. Some have been displaced from homes or lost loved ones. This can leave you feeling like life is tough and make you feel hopeless. But keep in mind, giving is not only through monetary resources. There is giving of your time, your ability to care, your effort to check in on others or to spend time. Make someone feel appreciated or loved. These are all ways we can give to one other during a difficult time.❤️💜💙
