You can’t always control the outcome

Often our reaction makes a difference. Our response will change things in our lives. At times, we may get all emotional over something we cannot control. I’m guilty of it. I try to do my best to not react, like that, especially when provoked. But I fail at times. I’m sure we all do. It’s no wonder that self-control is one of the fruits of the spirit, and when we maintain our position no matter what–we can function better. What I mean is, the more we focus on ourselves and work within, the better it is for everyone else. Avoiding confrontation is one remedy I use. By using avoidance, you don’t have to deal with unwanted feelings. We each have to walk with God, and while we fail at being as non-reactive to drama as we’d like, there is always a second chance. Accept. Move forward. Fulfill your purpose here. It is yours alone. We come here for a short time and after our ‘time’ is used up, we go back to God.🙏♥️

  1. This is the essence of the Serenity Prayer: God grant me the serenity to accept the things I can not change and the courage to change the things I can, and (very important) the wisdom to know the difference. Your blog has provided wisdom. Watch how we respond and trust the Lord. Amen. God Bless you for sharing this truth!

  2. This is beautiful Zina. I needed this reminder that even though I think I’m controlling my circumstances, which is so exhausting, l am learning to turn it over to God and thank Him at every turn. I’m in constant prayer when I’m out and about. When we’ve dedicated our lives to God, we have no idea how all Gods Angels are watching over us and avoiding troubles we know not of. 🙏❤

    1. Thank you so much! I love that you are learning to turn it over to God. I do that and wait to hear his wise instruction. Yes, his angels are always near and protecting us.♥️🙏

  3. This is beautiful! He is the God of second chances. As people we really do try to control the outcome as if we have any control over anything in this world. What I did before was ask God to help me to accept what His answer is.

    Great posting!
