Book of Hebrews 1:1-10🌟

Today I want to share the first 10 verses of the Book of Hebrews. This is one of the most powerful books in the Bible. We are taught in Scripture that the Word of God is sharper than a double edged sword, able to separate joints and marrow, dividing even down to the soul and spirit and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. The Bible provides us with fresh ‘living medicine.’

You may not feel the effects of listening to the Bible right away, but I promise you, if you meditate on the Bible for just 10 to 15 minutes a day, you will start to feel a difference. Lately, I’ve been listening to The Book of Acts, the Book of Hebrews, and John, chapters 14 through 16 are other favorites. I must say, I’ve been feeling stronger, clearer, and very good.

These verses are so great that I can’t even get through all of them before I relisten. And then when I continue to read/listen to the Book of Hebrews, I just feel more strengthened. I like to listen on the BibleGateway app by audio. I’m going to post the first ten verses so you can read them. I hope you enjoy.✨

Heb. 1:1
Heb.1-2
Herb.1:3
Heb.1:4
Heb.1:5
Heb.1:6
Heb.1:7
Heb.1:8
Heb.1:9
Heb.1:10

Now, meditate on each of these verses for at least 10-20 seconds, and feel the power of God coming through them and the power of our Lord, Jesus. By the way, Hebrews 1:3 and 1:8 are my favorite verses here.💫

He saved me♥️

Have you ever been in the pit? Have you ever been so sick you did not know if you’d make it? Have you ever looked upon the wicked and wondered why they prosper? Who did you call out to? Who did you ask for help? Was it yourself? Surely, you cannot save yourself nor can you understand the ways of the world all by yourself. My question is, who do you go to when you are in dire need, deptessed, or want answers?

Call out to the Lord. He will rescue you. You don’t need to see him to feel it. Call on his name and he will come to your aid. He will comfort you, bring you peace, and someone to guide you, a message, or healing of some sort.

You can’t accomplish everything alone. We need his help. We are not separated from him. We have even learned that the entire universe is ‘entangled,’ according to Quantum physics. God is not separate from us; actually, we are made in his ‘likeness and image.’ It can be a simple prayer. Call out to God today.

Psalm 18 (full)

For the director of music. Of David the servant of the Lord. He sang to the Lord the words of this song when the Lord delivered him from the hand of all his enemies and from the hand of Saul. He said:

1 I love you, Lord, my strength.2 The Lord is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer;
my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge,
my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.3 I called to the Lord, who is worthy of praise,
and I have been saved from my enemies.
4 The cords of death entangled me;
the torrents of destruction overwhelmed me.
5 The cords of the grave coiled around me;
the snares of death confronted me.6 In my distress I called to the Lord;
I cried to my God for help.
From his temple he heard my voice;
my cry came before him, into his ears.
7 The earth trembled and quaked,
and the foundations of the mountains shook;
they trembled because he was angry.
8 Smoke rose from his nostrils;
consuming fire came from his mouth,
burning coals blazed out of it.
9 He parted the heavens and came down;
dark clouds were under his feet.
10 He mounted the cherubim and flew;
he soared on the wings of the wind.
11 He made darkness his covering, his canopy around him—
the dark rain clouds of the sky.
12 Out of the brightness of his presence clouds advanced,
with hailstones and bolts of lightning.
13 The Lord thundered from heaven;
the voice of the Most High resounded.
14 He shot his arrows and scattered the enemy,
with great bolts of lightning he routed them.
15 The valleys of the sea were exposed
and the foundations of the earth laid bare
at your rebuke, Lord,
at the blast of breath from your nostrils.16 He reached down from on high and took hold of me;
he drew me out of deep waters.
17 He rescued me from my powerful enemy,
from my foes, who were too strong for me.
18 They confronted me in the day of my disaster,
but the Lord was my support.
19 He brought me out into a spacious place;
he rescued me because he delighted in me.20 The Lord has dealt with me according to my righteousness;
according to the cleanness of my handshe has rewarded me.
21 For I have kept the ways of the Lord;
I am not guilty of turning from my God.
22 All his laws are before me;
I have not turned away from his decrees.
23 I have been blameless before him
and have kept myself from sin.
24 The Lord has rewarded me according to my righteousness,
according to the cleanness of my hands in his sight.25 To the faithful you show yourself faithful,
to the blameless you show yourself blameless,
26 to the pure you show yourself pure,
but to the devious you show yourself shrewd.
27 You save the humble
but bring low those whose eyes are haughty.
28 You, Lord, keep my lamp burning;
my God turns my darkness into light.
29 With your help I can advance against a troop;
with my God I can scale a wall.30 As for God, his way is perfect:
The Lord’s word is flawless;
he shields all who take refuge in him.
31 For who is God besides the Lord?
And who is the Rock except our God?
32 It is God who arms me with strength
and keeps my way secure.
33 He makes my feet like the feet of a deer;
he causes me to stand on the heights.
34 He trains my hands for battle;
my arms can bend a bow of bronze.
35 You make your saving help my shield,
and your right hand sustains me;
your help has made me great.
36 You provide a broad path for my feet,
so that my ankles do not give way.37 I pursued my enemies and overtook them;
I did not turn back till they were destroyed.
38 I crushed them so that they could not rise;
they fell beneath my feet.
39 You armed me with strength for battle;
you humbled my adversaries before me.
40 You made my enemies turn their backs in flight,
and I destroyed my foes.
41 They cried for help, but there was no one to save them—
to the Lord, but he did not answer.
42 I beat them as fine as windblown dust;
I trampled them like mud in the streets.
43 You have delivered me from the attacks of the people;
you have made me the head of nations.
People I did not know now serve me,
44 foreigners cower before me;
as soon as they hear of me, they obey me.
45 They all lose heart;
they come trembling from their strongholds.46 The Lord lives! Praise be to my Rock!
Exalted be God my Savior!
47 He is the God who avenges me,
who subdues nations under me,
48 who saves me from my enemies.
You exalted me above my foes;
from a violent man you rescued me.
49 Therefore I will praise you, Lord, among the nations;
I will sing the praises of your name.50 He gives his king great victories;
he shows unfailing love to his anointed,
to David and to his descendants forever.

Nothing Outweighs the Glory that Is to Come✨🙏

This life is far from the end, and when we go into the next one—we continue on in our journey to love and to serve. To heal and to grow. To be united and to know that all will be well. Here, we are being ‘purified,’ even when we fail and as we grow older, our inner man is being renewed each day—but the glory that is to come will exceed any suffering here or pain. ‘For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all’ 2 Corinthians 4:17, NIV.

‘Fresh Living Water’

Hebrews 4:12 New International Version

For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.

“Let anyone who is thirsty come to me and drink. Whoever believes in me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them.”💦💦💦

‘I will never leave you, nor forsake you!’

God has given me this promise so many times. The first time I heard it I was very young. It was during one of my childhood ‘bike rides.’ I felt the presence of the Lord so strongly during those times and he’d talk with me through whispers in my heart. ‘This road will not be easy’ he told me, but ‘I will never leave you or forsake you.’ It was so comforting to hear. Alongside nature, I rode and rode. God would talk to me during those summer bike rides. He promised he would always be by my side. He has never left and never will.♥️✨☀️

Call out to God💞

God will never forsake you. He is the kind of God who protects you even when you don’t acknowledge him. What I mean is, you don’t have to even believe in him for him to care and watch over you. But praying to God, asking him to help, lead and guide you is very powerful. He will come right in. Defend you from your foes. He’ll put a shield over you to cover you. He will direct your steps, if you ask him to. You will not fall into a pit. You will not be needy. You will have abundance and be filled. When you call out to God, he will heal what is broken, restore what is lost, and love you unconditionally, no matter what. He is a fortress in our lives.💕✨

‘A new heaven and a new earth’♥️🌎

Four passages in the bible that further prove this scripture are below:

“For behold, I create new heavens and a new earth, and the former things shall not be remembered or come into mind” (Isaiah 65:17).

“But be glad and rejoice forever in what I will create, for I will create Jerusalem to be a delight and its people a joy” (Isaiah  65:18).

“I will rejoice over Jerusalem and take delight in my people; the sound of weeping and of crying will be heard in it no more” (Is 65:19).

“Behold, the dwelling place of God is with man. He will dwell with them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them as their God” (Revelation 21:3).✨

Happy New Year’s Day!!🌟🎊💫

Happy New Year, friends! As I reflect back on last year it was tough. Definitely not the toughest. But it was in the ‘more difficult’ chapter of my life. Despite of that—I’ve achieved some major milestones. Finally putting my book, ‘Not Without God: Hope In the Storm’ up for pre-order sale feels wonderful! It will be released just before my birthday on Jan. 24.🎂🎉 I also achieved my weight loss goals. Losing around 25 or more pounds between late October to December has felt wonderful too. I am down to the weight I should be and didn’t even have to make a ‘New Year’s Resolution.’

I continue to live my life that consists much of writing, teaching, and caring for others while hoping the Lord continues to shed his light on my path! One favorite piece of advice a wonderful doctor of mine once gave is: ‘The body takes time to catch up to the mind!’ So keep in mind that whatever you have decided on, whether it is to get healthier or be more successful, your body will follow!

Here’s another verse I found that I like:

Often times I feel this. At times I feel I’ve exhausted all options, or like I am simply worn out. But when I ‘keep my eyes on him’ and ask for his guidance he leads me. Psalm 23 reads:

He leads me beside still waters…🌊 He restores my soul!

Lastly, I’d like to display some holiday treats I made yesterday for NYE!💕⛄️🎄🌟

Each cinammon role=140 calories.

‘Give with a cheerful heart’❤️‍🩹

“Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously.

Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.

And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work” (2 Cor. 9:6-8). #NIV

Dear Lord…

Dear Lord,

Forgive my mistakes. Forgive all the times I’ve judged harshly or said the wrong things. Forgive all the times I failed to do what you would have me to do. Forgive when I’ve gotten frustrated, angry, and fed up. “Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me. Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me. Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit. Then will I teach transgressors thy ways; and sinners shall be converted unto thee (Psalm 51:10-13).”

With God All Things Are Possible♥️

It’s true. In an eternal universe such as the one we’re in not only is anything possible, but if you wait long enough ‘it’s probable,’ said the world-renowned physicist and NY Times best-selling author, Brain Greene. You see not only can ANYTHING happen. If you wait long enough your dreams can come true (if they already haven’t). What this means is ALL those things you thought will never happen can come to fruition before your eyes👀. It’ll even leave you thinking, ‘How did this happen?’ Stay motivated. Work hard. Never give up. Anything (allowed within the Laws of Physics) can happen to you! You would be surprised by just how much God wants to happen in your life! He is ALL giving, ALL knowing, and loves each of us as if we’re the only ones!❤️

Do Everything In Love

Do everything in love for each other. Be of courage and strong. Complete your labor for one another but also for God. “The Lord is your keeper…he will watch over your life (Psalms 121:5, 7).”💖

God Is a Problem-Solver💞

One thing I love about God is he is just a call away. All you have to do is say his name. He’ll come running to you. It’s instantaneous. You don’t have to wait. You don’t have to wonder if he’s there. The Lord has left us an ‘advocate.’ The Holy Spirit to help us and be with us forever. That means you are never alone. That means you have divine power. This power will lift you up, help you make decisions, and overcome. One thing we don’t realize enough is that God is a personal one. He’s a helper and a friend. He’s a problem solver. He is unconventional! He is not old fashioned. He is not just some old guy with a beard sitting up in the sky. If you ask for him to lead and guide, he will. There will be no doubt or shadow of turning.

God Is Love♥️

God is not just loving; God is cross-like love. God is not just peace; God is cross-like peace. The violent portraits people paint of God at times are not accurate. God doesn’t inflict harm on us; he sometimes allows things to happen. Why that is we can’t even begin to understand. This is when we have to trust. But keep in mind that out of evil comes good. It’s like a proton’s relationship to a neutron. There cannot be a loss without gain or a tragedy without glory, for that matter. God is scientific. Sorrow and joy are interchangeable. Again, we don’t always know why bad things happen. Often it’s our fault. Nonetheless, God loves us more than we can know or fathom. He is Love eternal. ♥️🛐✳️✨☀️🌠

Healing is continuous

Most people think of healing as a one-time thing or event. What they don’t understand is the Bible states that the Lord continuously heals us. He knows we need to be healed more than once. It is rare that you are made complete and never need healing again. Healing to me seems more like a succession of events that the Lord brings us through and heals us (even hearts) each time. He says, ‘I am the Lord who continuously heals you.’ This should speak volumes if you’re dealing with a chronic issue. By healing us each time, it means we can be whole. It’s never too late for God to ‘heal us.’ He always takes us back, refreshes us, and gives us another chance, a new hope for tomorrow, and something to look forward to. Only he can do that. Healing is always available.🙏🙏🙏

I called out to the Lord🔆

In my distress, I called out to the Lord–he set me free. Have you ever felt that before? What does it feel like when he sets you free? Do you get a word? Do you feel a boost of sudden inspiration? Do you hear a voice that says, ‘get up?’ Get back to work? I have felt and heard all those things. The Lord will guide you if you ask him to. His power is incomprehensible and will help you conquer anything. He’s a moving force. He’s not stagnant. He’s more than a listening ear. He is not a do-nothing being. ‘I called out to the Lord, and he set me free.’ He took action. In my distress, he was near. An ever-present help in time of need. The greatest of friends, indeed. I cried out to the Lord, and he answered me. He heard my woes. He comforted me. He brought me great help. I got up again. I kept moving. I completed my tasks. He told me I am well. He gave me visions. There is nothing the Lord can’t do. In a universe made up of trillions of galaxies, I called out to the Lord. And he heard me! He heeded to my voice. He gave me solace. He protected me. He told me not to worry. I met the day, the week, the year. I cried out to my God, the creator of the multiverses—and he heard little old me!✨🌠🌌🪐🌏☄️⚛️💫💜⭐️

He provides you with peace

This I know for sure. He is a comfort in times of trouble. A refuge we seek. He makes strong the weak. He guides our feet. He offers a peace that surpasses all understanding. Amid the chaos, you will have joy. In uncertainty, you will be sure. In times of trouble, he will be near. He will never leave you nor forsake you. With God, you are never alone. Relationships will fail. Friends will leave. Others will disappoint. In God, you will have peace.🙏☮️🌼✨

God wants what you do

The question of so many is what does God want for me? Often we view God as the big bad guy in opposition when in reality, he loves us deeply. He wants us to be happy. He doesn’t delight in our pain or weakness. When we are hurting, he is there for us. When we rejoice, he rejoices with us. He wants your marriage to work, your child to succeed—your business to take off, and your happiness all around. God is working for us, not against us. At times we believe that God is in opposition when bad things happen. Sometimes we bring bad things upon ourselves, and sometimes they just happen. This is when we should turn to God, not try to turn him off. He is with us in our suffering and our loss. It is God that we will dwell with forever.💙🖤🌌

Come to Jesus

When you feel lost or alone, seek God as your refuge. When you’re tired or restless, go to him. He’ll refresh you. Give your cares to God. He will lead you. He doesn’t expect you to be perfect or not to mess up. He loves for you to seek his counsel. Don’t feel ashamed or unworthy. He came here for this very purpose. In our imperfection, he perfects us by leading and guiding. He’s always teaching us we are love.💕💕💕

God Is Not Finished

Sometimes I get discouraged by all I have to do. Sometimes I get upset by all that is happening or not happening, for that matter. Life can leave you feeling hopeless. When these feelings arise, we have to keep in mind, there is unfinished work. “God is not unjust; he will not forget your work and the love you have shown him as you have helped his people and continue to help them” (Hebrews 6:10). We have to have patience. He is still working in our lives.

How to hear from God

In an eternal universe, anything can happen. God works on our behalf. The trick is to know when it’s time to let him do his work and stop trying to control the situation. If you have a relationship with him, you can ask and usually hear back through your intuition or feeling. Sometimes we get caught up in ego or wanting to control things, and that doesn’t always help. Sometimes we are stagnant and expect God to move while we do nothing. We have to go to him, first and foremost. One of my prayers is always for him to lead me and guide me, and while I know I sometimes fall off my tracks, he’s a loving God who puts me back on my path. He never gives up on us.💖🙏🖤

I know it was you, God

All the time. These moments are not few and far between. Good things will happen out of nowhere. And it’s something I just know God had a hand in. There are no mistakes when you walk by faith. It’s always a result of God looking out for you. Have you ever felt like you’re glad you didn’t go somewhere or do something? Like by not doing it you saved time or were safer? That’s God. I have more drastic examples of when he’s saved me. But I won’t mention them here. I’m sure you can all relate. Have you ever had a time when you thought, I know that was you God?☝️🙏💝

God Will Guide Us

He will guide us. It’s true, especially if we ask him to. Recently someone approached me and said how hard it must be for those who don’t live with God. But here’s the thing, we can’t live ‘without’ God even if we try. Even when we turn our back. God is there. Even when we don’t realize it he is in the room. I don’t necessarily think people have a harder life when they don’t acknowledge God. As the Bible states, rain will fall on all of us. God’s love does not discriminate. He’s there and working in your favor. He also has a plan for when you mess up or fail. His love is unconditional. Just take a look at the beauty of nature and all he gave us. He came down to save us in the person of Jesus Christ. Grace is a gift that’s freely given. What makes a walk with God special is that you feel his loving hand guiding you.🏞️💖

You can’t always control the outcome

Often our reaction makes a difference. Our response will change things in our lives. At times, we may get all emotional over something we cannot control. I’m guilty of it. I try to do my best to not react, like that, especially when provoked. But I fail at times. I’m sure we all do. It’s no wonder that self-control is one of the fruits of the spirit, and when we maintain our position no matter what–we can function better. What I mean is, the more we focus on ourselves and work within, the better it is for everyone else. Avoiding confrontation is one remedy I use. By using avoidance, you don’t have to deal with unwanted feelings. We each have to walk with God, and while we fail at being as non-reactive to drama as we’d like, there is always a second chance. Accept. Move forward. Fulfill your purpose here. It is yours alone. We come here for a short time and after our ‘time’ is used up, we go back to God.🙏♥️

To me, he is life☀️

This quote stuck out to me because it’s how I feel. I need Jesus, his healing capabilities, his presence, love, and therapeutic qualities. He’s the one who heals me every time and guides me through. I don’t just want Jesus in my life. I need Jesus. To me, he is life.♥️🙏🌅

You are not ‘waiting’

Waiting on God is not easy, especially when you don’t know what he’s doing in your life. I don’t entirely agree with this quote, though, and I’ll tell you why—we are not ‘waiting,’ we can work with him if we want to. People tend to look at God as some big bad antagonist whose will is opposed to ours. But it’s not true. God (the Holy Spirit) is with us. Often he’s leading us to our dreams. We don’t know it. We may be too anxious about why they haven’t happened or not doing anything to make our situation better, we can be coworkers with God, but we have to do our part. Nothing will just come to you! You have to take action. Whether you want to buy a new house or open a business, you have to work at it. I wish people would stop looking to God as an obstacle. It’s because of him you are where you are. You didn’t do it by yourself. Everything happens by him and for him, according to the Bible. Start realizing how much you are connected; you and God are by no means worlds apart!

How to pray and hear!

“When you pray you activate a switch, and God picks up on it!” It’s something I was thinking about today. Even when it feels like God doesn’t hear you or like your prayers are in vain—something is happening. You’ve opened the gateway. Now there are different forms of prayer. Whether you pray the Lord’s Prayer or utter, “Hey, God, can you help me today?” He heard you. Think of prayer as a channel to peace. Once you make a request, there is usually an unfolding of events. At first, you may hear from your intuition. At least, that’s how it happens for me. Often I feel like I have a direct connection with the Lord. Prayer doesn’t mean you will get your requests. But even when you don’t, keep the faith. God will compensate. For every prayer, there is an answer even when it appears there isn’t. You have to trust. Lately, I have dealt with an impossible situation. I did all I could to make it right. Finally, I just gave it to the Lord. I felt him telling me to let it go. Sound familiar? Well, anyway, I guess my point of this message is how we can better hear from God. Go into the silence, talk with him/pray, wait, listen, act. If you’re confused about what to do, remember every good and pure thought comes from above. Whatever is peaceful and right is God talking to you!💕💕💕
