God Will Always Bring You Through❤️

Often I find myself worrying about the unknown. What if ‘this’ or ‘that’ happens I ask myself. But when I think back to how much the Lord has saved me from and how he has guided my steps all my life, it is wrong to think he will stop doing it now. I know I have the Lord to watch over me and lead and guide. It is the one thing that helps me sleep better at night. We can all hear from him too. His voice cannot be diminished. It’s there. It’s evident. Sometimes it comes through our intuition or we may have a strong feeling about something and just know what we are supposed to do — we know God is there. He brought us through, he saved us, or showed us the way one more time. His love does not fail.❤️‍🩹

God Is My Rock and My Refuge🪨🙏🛐

This verse describes me perfectly. One thing I love about God is he will always be there. He is our stronghold. Friendships may fail and many others may disappoint, but God is the one being who will never leave or stop loving us no matter what. We can access God at any time by calling out his name. Jesus came to help us understand God’s unconditional love. It is cross like love. It is love greater than we can fathom, and it runs deeper than human love. He shed his blood; we know that there is no greater gift than to give one’s life. While we are still sinners he saved us. He came to redeem man. Yes. He is my rock. My refuge. My everlasting friend. The one I take comfort in and the one I run to when I’m in need. He leads me besides still waters. He blesses and consoles me all the days of my life.❤️‍🔥💟❤️‍🩹💞

God Is Our Ever Present Help In Time of Need❤️‍🩹

It’s true. Nothing nourishes you like spending time with our Lord. It is better than nutrition. What I mean is, when you seek God first above all things he will NOURISH you, and he will lead you to situations of wellness where you are happy and whole. I fail at this sometimes too. But I love that God is our ever constant strong hold we can run to in time of need. He will NEVER turn away, because God is Love. We can call out to him in desperate need or in the middle of the night. He will be there 24 hours a day. I love that about God.❤️‍🔥

Do everything in love for each other. Be of courage and strong. Complete your labor for one another but also for God. “The Lord is your keeper…he will watch over your life (Psalms 121:5, 7).”💖

God’s Love for You Is Deep♥️

It’s true, and since God made EVERYTHING his love for you is evident. It’s deeper than the sea🌊. God can’t not love you because God Is Love. He created it, and it is all encompassing. Earthly people mistake tribulation or suffering with the idea that God does not love them. But the Bible tells us to ‘count it all joy’ when we fall into various trials. He is perfecting a work in us. We will come out of it on the side of glory. Keep your eyes on him. His love is deeper than the ocean and nothing can stop you. No hardship, no abandonment, no rejection, nor pain or harm shall overtake you. If God is for you then who can be against you? Some Christians tend to think all they have to do is listen to God, and they believe his words only come from the Holy Bible. This can be dangerous thinking when parts of the Bible have been misinterpreted. God is the creator of EVERYTHING. His only resource IS NOT the Bible. We have to be keen, sharp as a two edged sword, and know how to relate to him. His love is unconditional, and he also speaks to us through each other.

I trust you, God!

Dear Lord, I trust you when I’m uncertain of what’s going on. I trust you when things ‘don’t look good.’ I know that with you things are never as they seem. Every end has a new beginning and every tragedy has a multitude of blessings associated with it. Not that I am happy with disappointment or adversity, but I have learned to be content in all situations. Or I should say I am learning. God, your love is enough indeed. Often I’m reaching for ‘more.’ I’m not sure what ‘more’ is because you are everything. You formed me ‘in my mother’s womb’ you always knew me! You have always been with me and will never leave my side from now and for eternity. Thank you! You are a God that is true and loves me.♥️💖💙

Dear God, thank you!❤️

Dear God, you have been there all my life. I understand you better now than I have before. You are awesome, indeed. Words can’t describe how amazing you are. No adjective is big enough. Your love endures the test of time because you are timeless. There is no man made clock for you. Thus, I am timeless too. So glad I get to spend eternity with you. Your love is enough even though I’ve complained a lot while on earth. Thank you for loving me, forgiving me, and always taking me back. Thank you for being my God.♥️💜💞

God’s Love won’t fail💕

This verse is self explanatory. Friendships may end. The world may pass away, but God’s love will remain. It is unconditional and everlasting. Even when you mess up, it will be there. Even when you fail him, he will stay. When you are all alone, he will comfort. God will send you help. He will be a fortress and enough. He will give you guidance. You will know the next step to take. He will tell you which way to go. Not only does he not abandon, but he directs you to the path that will heal. God’s love is infinite. You can never have too much or experience all of it. It’s guaranteed. All you have to do is call on him. He will be there with loving arms to help.💞🛐😄🙌

God can change everything💓

God can change everything. It’s true. He can make a bad day good. Cause you to get well. Turn your life around. God can make everything new. Never doubt God’s love or healing capabilities. Endings become rebirths. He restores broken hearts and puts the right people in your life. The world may seem to be falling apart, but one stagnant thing is God’s unconditional love. Not only that, he will always be there with his divine powers to help you.✨☀️☄️⚛️😄

Lord, thank you for being you!♥️

Dear Lord, I am far from perfect and have failed you. I’ve failed numerous times. I’ve failed at not being angry. I’ve failed at times by not being outraged. I know I have imperfections, and that is only to name a few. I’m grateful that you’re a God who always takes me back and loves me no matter what. I would have no ticket to heaven if it weren’t for you. Thank you for not only being loving but for being cross-like love! God, your love is unconditional! Your omnipresence is magnificent! I can’t even fathom all the good you possess! But thank you for being my God. Thank you for being my love!♥️

God Is a Problem-Solver💞

One thing I love about God is he is just a call away. All you have to do is say his name. He’ll come running to you. It’s instantaneous. You don’t have to wait. You don’t have to wonder if he’s there. The Lord has left us an ‘advocate.’ The Holy Spirit to help us and be with us forever. That means you are never alone. That means you have divine power. This power will lift you up, help you make decisions, and overcome. One thing we don’t realize enough is that God is a personal one. He’s a helper and a friend. He’s a problem solver. He is unconventional! He is not old fashioned. He is not just some old guy with a beard sitting up in the sky. If you ask for him to lead and guide, he will. There will be no doubt or shadow of turning.

Perfect Love Casts Out Fear♥️

I need to do this more. When I ‘pray myself’ out of fear it tends to work. What does that look like? I talk to God out loud. I tell him I’m an overcomer. I remind myself (and him) that I think things through. I talk to him about how long we’ve been together (Jesus and I), sorting problems out and finding solutions. I remember all the times he’s sent me the right people and how he continues to. I remind myself that the ones who left used their time up. They were no longer of use, especially if they were in opposition to God’s plan.🙏 I remind myself of what he’s brought me through. I remind myself he’s never failed me. I talk out loud and tell myself I can. When your power rests in God, there is no such thing as failure. Sometimes you are redirected, and sometimes you fall, but you get back up. You make it. You find a way. There is success because with God all things are possible.

Trust God

Life is not perfect; but God’s love is. It is made perfect in weakness; there is no fear in love. This is biblical. That is not to say life is perfect or that the world is perfect, though. ‘The universe doesn’t have to make sense to us’ is how one of my favorite physicists put it.

We are moving here through entropy, although we call it ‘time.’ Time is manmade, and we even have different time zones. That is because time is relative based on where you are positioned. “It is not the same for everyone” is how Einstein explained it.

Often we hear others say, “God’s timing is perfect.” What does that mean anyway? A million years to God is not the same as it would be for us. He is eternal. At the start of the universe (that some like to call, “The Big Bang”), I will call it the “Big event,” only because there was no bang. There were no air molecules at that time. God said, “Let there be light.” And there was light.

Let’s not complicate things. Everything you see today is made up of light. Even us. Did you know that the elements in our bodies are the same elements that are in stardust? It’s true. That’s not to say we don’t have organs or blood, but we are made of stardust. We are also made up of atoms. We are made of billions and billions of atoms that never die.

It’s a primary rule of physics. Scripture also tells us we are made in his likeness and image, and in the Bible there are several places where God is called light. He is the light of the world. He is light and in him there can be no darkness at all. God is light and he created it.

When we see something happening that doesn’t seem “God-like,” we must trust in God and carry our cross. Again, the world doesn’t have to cater to us. We have to conform and learn how to adapt. Now, that is NOT to say that we have to conform to the world. But we ARE living in the world, so we have to live amongst one another in acceptance and love.

We have to forgive, and that is hard to do at times. But as you know, these are some of the first commandments. Love your neighbor as yourself; forgive and let it go. Turn the “other cheek.” In a world divided like it never has been, this may seem hard.

But keep in mind that God is love. And that we must trust him no matter what. God has made his son heir of all things, through who he has also made the universe (Hebrews 1:2). God loves us indiscriminately, let’s at least do our very best!

God Is Love♥️

God is not just loving; God is cross-like love. God is not just peace; God is cross-like peace. The violent portraits people paint of God at times are not accurate. God doesn’t inflict harm on us; he sometimes allows things to happen. Why that is we can’t even begin to understand. This is when we have to trust. But keep in mind that out of evil comes good. It’s like a proton’s relationship to a neutron. There cannot be a loss without gain or a tragedy without glory, for that matter. God is scientific. Sorrow and joy are interchangeable. Again, we don’t always know why bad things happen. Often it’s our fault. Nonetheless, God loves us more than we can know or fathom. He is Love eternal. ♥️🛐✳️✨☀️🌠

Your Love reaches to the heavens🌙✨🌤

Hello, friends, I’m writing you this note not because I have anything exquisite to say. Not too much here about my favorite subject, physics, or even about God in this one. All I want to say is that his love reaches ‘to the heavens,’ even when it seems like he is nowhere to be found. He is there. You see, in God there is always hope. There is always another chance. There is always another ‘day’ whether here or there, His love never ends. It is eternal, and we will spend eternity with him. Let’s set our minds on things above: service, tolerance, and patience. Sometimes I fail, but because I know that your love, Lord, reaches to the heavens and your faithfulness, to the skies. I am not worried. I will try to be better.🙏☀️⛅️

God’s Love Is Real

God’s love never fails. Where there are friendships, they may fade. Where there is love, it may break. But God’s love is different: it in unconditional, it does not disappoint. It will bring you through anything if you seek after it. You won’t ‘faint.’ You will stand tall. You won’t be afraid. Faith will overcome fear, and you will have peace in your heart. God’s promises don’t mean you will never get hurt, but the promise is that he will bring you through if you seek after him. God’s love never fades.💕💞💓

I’ll praise him all the days of my life♥️

I’ll praise Him in the storm⛈. I’ll praise Him in a loss. I’ll praise him when I’m down and when I don’t know what’s going on. I’ll praise him when I have no strength to praise; I’ll praise Him in my heart. I’ll praise him when he takes. I’ll praise him when there seems to be no way out. Did I say I’ll praise him when I don’t know what is going on? I’ll praise him all the days of my life no matter what, because, it’s simple. He’s the king of kings. He’s the God of all glory! The ruler of the universe(s). The maker of the heavens! He sits on the throne. From everlasting to everlasting, I will praise Him all the days of my life, whether here or elsewhere. His love has a way of making things right, he mends broken hearts, he brings peace and solutions, and he heals me every time. When you have confidence in God, you don’t have too much to worry about.☀️🪐🌍💫✨⚛️⚡️🌠

God will always be there 💕💞💓

God has never left you. Not for one minute. Not since you were born up until now. God has never left your side. He’s always been there. Through every heartbreak. Through every challenge, every let down and every sad moment. God has been there. He does not rejoice in our pain. He sends unseen angels to help us😇. He does not count our wrongs; he reminds us of our rights. He does not condemn us, he lifts us up. He gives us peace in the storm. Grace to face another day. He’s an ever present help in time of need. Most of all, he is a friend. He will never leave. His love is all encompassing, all accepting, it is love unconditional. You can’t find it anywhere. A Love Letter From Jesus❤️

As I was going through old cards and notes yesterday, I came across this letter that someone gave to me during the time of my accident (Yes, I have saved letters and notes from that long ago back in 1994!). I don’t know exactly who gave it to me, but I want to share it with you because it’s just beautiful:

(A Love Letter from Jesus)

How are you? I just had to send you this letter to tell you how much I love you and care about you. I saw you yesterday as you were walking with your friends. I waited all day, hoping you would walk and talk with me also. As evening drew near, I gave you a sunset to close your day, and a cool breeze to rest you. Then I waited, but you never came. O yes, it hurt me, but I still love you because I am your friend.

I saw you fall asleep last night, and I longed to touch your brow, so I spilled moonlight upon your pillow and your face… Again I waited, wanting to rush down so we could talk. I have so many gifts for you.

You awakened late this morning and rushed off for the day. My tears were in the rain. Today you looked so sad, so alone. It makes my heart ache because I understand. My friends let me down and hurt me many times, but I love you. I try to tell you in the quiet green grass. I whisper it in the leaves and in the trees and breathe it in the color of the flowers. I shout it to you in the mountain streams, and give the birds love songs to sing. I clothe you with warm sunshine and perfume the air. My love for you is deeper than the oceans and bigger than the biggest want or need you could ever have.

We will spend eternity together in heaven. I know how hard it is on earth. I really know, because I was there, and I want to help you. My Father wants to help you, too. He’s that way, you know. Just call me, ask me, talk to me. It is your decision… I have chosen you, and because of this I will wait… Because I love you.♥️

Your Friend,

Jesus

Teach me thy ways, Lord💕💕💕

Teach me your ways Lord. Your ways are better than mine. Teach me your faithfulness. If my faith were more like yours, I would be perfect. Great is thy faithfulness, dear Lord. Teach me to never give up and to always have hope no matter what. Teach me to never allow struggles to determine my fate. Teach me to always reach for more, to reach for the stars. Teach me to use my time wisely, and to be wise when dealing with life. Teach me to be more like you, Lord, to unconditionally love, forgive, and always overcome!💕💕💕

His love is unconditional

He had loved us at our darkest and at times when we did not deserve his love. God is not partial. He doesn’t only love us when we are doing ‘good.’ He loves us when we fail. He loves us when we’re not pretty. He loves us eternally no matter what. The sooner people realize that God does not change (like we do), the better. He’s not a fair-weather friend. He’s not here for a ‘season’ or because there is some benefit he gets back from us. He doesn’t behave the way humans do. He made us. He is our Holy Father. He loves us at our darkest when we’re not ‘winning,’ and when we know, we could be better. He loves us just as much as when we’re doing good. God can’t not love us because God is love. He is the epitome of it. Some may paint the picture in your mind of a God who scolds or punishes. But those images are not of the real God. They are fictitious ones. Some people stand so long in anticipation of the judgment and warning others that they are not focusing on the real Lord. His arms are open wide. Lovingly, waiting for his children to come home.❤️♥️🧡

God’s Love is what matters the most

So there is a bit of a debate about cosmic order and whether or not everything has been predetermined. Determinism states that there is no such thing as free will. Your future is already predicted, as was your past, etc. However, there is this other theory called Open Theism. What that means is that God is the greatest chess player that has ever lived. He knows all the steps we can take and every which way we can go. Not only that, but he has a plan for every step. Even for when we fail. Isn’t it amazing that we have a God who loves us so much that he has a plan for when we fail also? Whether it is determinism, open theism or a little bit of both that exists, it doesn’t matter too much. What matters to me is that I have a God who loves me so much that no matter what, he will be there. He will be the one listening when I need a friendly ear. He will be the one with me when I have to visit a sick relative in the hospital. He will be with me when I go on a new opportunity or if I have any heartbreak. He will be there with me every day. Every time. God’s love never fails. Friendship may fail. God’s won’t. Relationships may fade, God will always be there. He isn’t a fair-weather friend. He isn’t only here for a ‘season.’ He is here for life. For eternity. I’m so glad he is because I wouldn’t have it any another way. He’s the one who brings me through every time.

It is better to give than to receive

As we all know, and psychologists say it is those who give that ‘receive’ the most. The world has changed though. We may not be as apt to share with all the chaos going on around us. We’re trying to recover from a pandemic. Many are still unemployed. Some have been displaced from homes or lost loved ones. This can leave you feeling like life is tough and make you feel hopeless. But keep in mind, giving is not only through monetary resources. There is giving of your time, your ability to care, your effort to check in on others or to spend time. Make someone feel appreciated or loved. These are all ways we can give to one other during a difficult time.❤️💜💙

God Is Love

God is love💖. No matter what happens in your life. He is the epitome of it. Things may not go right or the way you’d like. Friendships may fail, and loved ones may leave. You may acquire an illness. But no matter what happens, love is working for you. It’s helping you succeed. It’s helping you to overcome and make new friends. It’s helping you feel better all around. Whether you realize it or not, God is one of restoration. That means that whatever you go through—he can restore you. You may never be whole or back to the way you were before, but you will have hope. Hope is faith in action. Faith is belief in something without evidence. You know it to be true. We were never promised an easy life, but one we could make it through. Hope and faith can bring your plans and dreams to fruition.💗💞💕

Come to Jesus

When you feel lost or alone, seek God as your refuge. When you’re tired or restless, go to him. He’ll refresh you. Give your cares to God. He will lead you. He doesn’t expect you to be perfect or not to mess up. He loves for you to seek his counsel. Don’t feel ashamed or unworthy. He came here for this very purpose. In our imperfection, he perfects us by leading and guiding. He’s always teaching us we are love.💕💕💕

God Will Guide Us

He will guide us. It’s true, especially if we ask him to. Recently someone approached me and said how hard it must be for those who don’t live with God. But here’s the thing, we can’t live ‘without’ God even if we try. Even when we turn our back. God is there. Even when we don’t realize it he is in the room. I don’t necessarily think people have a harder life when they don’t acknowledge God. As the Bible states, rain will fall on all of us. God’s love does not discriminate. He’s there and working in your favor. He also has a plan for when you mess up or fail. His love is unconditional. Just take a look at the beauty of nature and all he gave us. He came down to save us in the person of Jesus Christ. Grace is a gift that’s freely given. What makes a walk with God special is that you feel his loving hand guiding you.🏞️💖

He will be with you

Good morning, when you go through deep waters, he will be with you–leading and guiding. Just ask him to. He’ll be there. You have direct access twenty four hours a day. God does not sleep or ever ignore you. His love is unconditional. He can be everywhere. Don’t doubt his presence because whether or not you acknowledge him, he’s there. He wants to hear from you. Your prayers can be simple. Some will tell you to ‘pray without ceasing,’ and I think that Bible verse is taken out of context. There is no impediment. God can hear you and you can hear from him too. It may not be easy to hear or to discern his voice, but that’s why it’s best to get away from the noise. Have a conversation. Journal. Listen to your intuition. What do you hear back? “The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control…” (Gal. 5:22-23). If it is these feelings you possess, you are hearing from the Lord!

In due time, it will happen to you!

It’s true. But often we take it for granted. We don’t trust in God enough. We often think that our ‘time’ should be his ‘time.’ However, what is time anyway? In physics, the past, present, and future are equally as real, and in space-time, they are happening at once.

We need to relax. God will make it happen if and when it is meant. As his children, we get anxious. We want to be in control—the captain of our ships. However, we must keep in mind that there is a cosmic and divine order. Things don’t always happen how we want them to or when we would like.

Sometimes they happen when we least expect. If you keep the faith, believe, and never give up, they will happen to you. I wrote a post that describes how prayers do get answered but not always in the way we think they should. One way or the other, God will answer you. No prayer is unheard. Whether you are praying for deliverance, a new home, or enough resources, God hears you.

There’s a reason it hasn’t happened yet. Whether or not you understand is not what makes the difference. What makes the difference is whether or not you trust and ask for his wise counsel. In due time, miracles happen. The way one great physicist put it is free will does not exist. EVERYTHING is in the cosmic order. Another great physicist/pastor I listen to put it this way–God is the greatest chess player.

He knows every route you can go, and he has a plan even for when you mess up. Isn’t it great to know you have a God who will always be there? Who will pick you up? Who will cover you no matter what? This unconditionally loving God who always takes care wants what’s best for us.

God’s Love Is Unconditional💕

I feel a direct connection to the Lord. I’m able to discern his voice. When I talk to him, ask, pray, make requests, and spend time, I feel better. I love to be in his presence. Having a relationship with him is like exercising a muscle, the more you strengthen it, the stronger it gets.

When you practice having that relationship, you will feel closer. The bible says, ‘I am the Lord who continuously heals you.’ That means healing is not a one-time thing or event. The Lord ‘continuously’ heals us.

God continues to heal me in various ways. He renews me every morning and gives me strength. God’s given me the right doctors and medicine. God created medicine along with science.🎆

He speaks to us and helps us through these medical professionals. I mean, it’s fair to get a second opinion when you don’t agree with your doctor, but if you keep getting more opinions, you may be skeptical.

He is our hero. He truly is our friend. You never know how your life will turn out. I never expected to grow up with a physical challenge, but I am blessed to have the Lord, and I know he will never leave no matter what.

The more profound the sorrow, the greater the joy! I am not asking you to rejoice in suffering; I am asking you to rejoice in the one who stands before you. He will not leave unless you ask him to, and even then, he will be standing in your corner, guarding, leading, and guiding you.

I don’t have any secrets on how to overcome. I am not different from anyone. Jesus heals me every time. When love is not true, it fades. God’s love never fades. He’s always there. It is us who leave and turn away.

He cannot. Because God is love, and that is what he does. He comes in when everyone else has gone out. He comes in when your life is too much to bear. Love cannot fail and endures all things. It gives freely of itself. It will provide even when you are not winning.

When God comes in to rescue you, it will be the greatest gift ever.

Lean on God. Your happiness will not be short-lived or temporal. I’ve tried to control situations in my life because I think I know what is best. I have an image in my mind of how my life should be. But God wants me to put my faith in Him.

Glorify God through your Job

But you have to be patient, just like you have to be patient at your job. You have to be patient with God. Don’t complain. I already wrote about how you can compare patience to work. You don’t complain at work. Then don’t complain a lot.

Imagine if you treated God the way you treat your director. You won’t get promoted at work if all you do is complain, right? God wants you to get promoted. I mean, I take that back; you can complain to God, of course. But people who complain a lot don’t typically get anywhere.

Be grateful!

Come to God (Now is a better time than ever)!🙏🏻😇🧚

I sought after God at a young age. It wasn’t until my accident happened that I really understood him. I saw Jesus in everyone. I experienced God in the three months I spent in the hospital. As strange as it may seem, for the first time—my life had some meaning.

I was broken, a teenager, I couldn’t predict the future ahead or if I would even survive–I had all these injuries and had become paralyzed. But I understood God on a different level. I was searching for purpose before it.

I had friends, family, lived in a good neighborhood and went to a good school, but I would ask God what life is really about. I knew he was there, but my surroundings had me confused. I felt his presence on a daily basis, but I wanted to understand him better.

As a child, I knew my path would be difficult. He would whisper it to me through secrets in my heart. He also told me that he would never leave me nor forsake me, and that in the end I would be with him forever!

I felt his love as though it were a security blanket while outside on my childhood bike rides. Perhaps I deliberately went outside so much to spend time alone with him. I have always needed him since I was a child.

My time alone with God has always been my peace. It gives me peace☮️, and it is crucial for me. I need to talk with him and pray to figure things out. I am not independent of God. In good times and in bad, I need him. God never leaves us no matter what.

He will be the one listening to us when we need a shoulder to cry on. He will be the one with us when something goes wrong! He will celebrate. He will cry. His love is eternal. He is always there. He cannot change.

God is light.✨ Einstein realized that the speed of light is the only thing that is constant. As a matter of fact, space and time🌌 adjust to light.⚡️ God is light, and he created it. It’s in the Book of Genesis. God cannot change. We have to.🥰

First and foremost, we have to allow him into our hearts. We have free will, so God will not impose his influence. We have to choose him. We are still his children; nonetheless, he won’t impose himself on us.

He is in control, always, and he shines his light on all of us whether or not we are ‘believers.’ But I urge you to choose God. Take a look at what I went through, and he brought me through. Choose God, even in the bad times. He has a plan for you.

The bible says, ‘I am the Lord who continuously heals you.’ That means healing is not a one time thing, it is not a one time event. God heals us continuously. I have never fully recovered since my accident, but God continuously heals me, and I am healthy!

God created science. God created medicine. My doctors saved my life!👨‍🔬 We have to listen to them and take their wise instruction! I hope for everyone to have this kind of knowledge. God is a fortress and a healer. He truly is our friend.

You never know how your life will turn out. I never expected to grow up with a physical challenge, but I am blessed to have this knowledge. He will come in when everyone else has gone out. He will come in when your life is too much to bear. He will pick you up, and save you! His love cannot fail.

On Love & Relationships! ♥️♥️♥️

God is perfecting a work in you, and he is no way finished. The life of someone who follows Jesus is not an easy one, because he is continually molding and shaping us.

There will be hardships, at times you will face rejection and even feel all alone. Nonetheless, God will never leave you. He is the only One that will bring you through.

He doesn’t love you any less when you fail—he knows you will mess up! But the whole point is that you want to make it right with him.

I tend to retreat when I am angry because I can cool off and collect my thoughts. Retreating is not always the best option. Some situations are difficult and chronic no matter what.

Don’t get under the impression that you can live alone and that you do not need anyone, some people run, but this is only a temporary solution—we need each other.

You can release stress by talking about it. Make sure you are talking to a trusted friend. Someone you know really well.

Turning to your journal is a great reliever. It can help you figure things out. This is my number one way of dealing with issues. It’s effective because you can let it all out.

This way you are able to notice any unhealthy patterns in your thinking, or you can think of strategies on how to resolve the problem.

Of course praying is powerful. I see prayer as a way of talking in your journal out loud. When you pray you are talking to the Holy Spirit. He hears you even before you convey the message. God knows the thoughts of our hearts.

3b440670-8079-42ea-b979-a73dcbcd5f18-e1577470339648.png

He knows our fears, insecurities, and doubts. He knows when we are being fair and when we are not being treated well.

That is why prayer, or talking about it to Him is effective. It’s another way of sorting out your thoughts.

The fruits of the spirit are “love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23).” I hope to possess all of these more.

Life is a dance between you and God. All else is an illusion; it’s a manifestation of His love. So how you treat others is significant because you are truly having relations with the Lord. The Holy Spirit lives inside of us.

Bask in Love

“The love that you withhold is the pain that you carry.” –Ralph Waldo Emerson

When you know what it’s like to pray you make it through the day because of (mental) anguish you can eventually experience love in its fullest form.

Sometimes it’s hard to appreciate life when you’ve had it easy. But when you know what you do because of hardship, you can become more thankful for what you have.

When you’ve struggled more than once, and when struggling seems to be the only way—you have a decision to make. You can take life for granted, and become bitter as some do.

Or, you can choose to do something different. Allow the pain to enhance your life. Project it outward instead. Use it for good—give, or encourage. Don’t just keep it all inside.

Don’t ask why this happened. Remember, we are small in the larger scheme of life. We’re all trying to get through. I think that some make it while others simply get by.

Those that get by usually have it fine–the house, the car, children and a career. They don’t experience too much difficulty in their lives.

But those that make it are the ones that turn the tide. They may even change the course of history because they decide no matter what they will survive!

They not only want to thrive, but they also want to help others while they’re doing it too!

Why not help someone today?

Stay Positive

People can be toxic at times. Beware of your surroundings. Try to not let them bring you down. You know, the kind of people that wake up in the morning and create a “bad day.” Watch who you keep your company with. Make sure to not become a downer or negative. It can be easy to fall into this trick of feeling sorry for yourself. There is so much chaos: disease, war, and personal problems seem to be mounting in the world today. But we can choose to be happy no matter what the circumstances are. I don’t mean that everything will be alright always. Sometimes things just can’t be that way! We have no choice. Sometimes you just feel bad because things are bad, and you can’t do anything to change them. The key is to not get stuck in feelings of negativity. Be resilient. Remember this too shall pass. Do your best to put a smile on your face, embrace yourself with loved ones and positive energy. If you are not receiving this kind of love, try giving it to others. I’m sure you will get it back!

“For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory” (2 Cor. 4:17).

Knowledge puffs up, but love edifies.

“The love that you withhold is the pain that you carry” is a quote I came across by Ralph Waldo Emerson. It stood out to me so I wanted to share it. Are you withholding any love? I’m sure I am. When I come into contact with difficult people, or people that seem hard to deal with. I will knowlege, lovetry to see the good in them, and see them the way that God does, this is my prayer today. “Knowledge puffs up, but love edifies. And if anyone thinks that he knows anything, he knows nothing yet as he ought to know” (1 Corinthians 8:1-2). How about building each other up today?

God is Love

“Love is a force that is able to heal the worst of situations.” ~Zina Hermez

What does the quote above mean to you? When you read this, what comes to mind? Let me repeat it. “Love is a force…that is able to heal the worst of situations.” Love is what helped me heal in the worst time of my life – after my accident in October of 1994 so this passage carries a lot of weight. Feel free to share your thoughts with me in the comments.

The love that came from the doctors and nurses at the University of Michigan C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital was incomparable. The love from friends and family, and the love from even the parents of the other children who were ill on that floor. There was this energy I can’t explain, but it translated into a lot of love. When I am feeling down or upset, I try to revisit that place.

I’m reminded that whatever I’m upset about is small because I am loved. When we know that, when we experience love it makes a difference. It provides confidence. We don’t feel so lonely. It’s a part of the mystery—the love of Christ that surpasses our understanding. When God’s love resides in us there’s an inner peace.

Not Without God book event!

My first book-signing party took place earlier this month on September 5. Sponsored by Beztak Homes and held right in my hometown, I had a wonderful time. Many supportive friends came out on a stormy night. I gave a talk that was centered on a speaking engagement I’ve given called, “How to Live Your Vision and Overcome Your Challenges!”

With my friend Samara!

Not Without God: A Story of Survival books were displayed as well as bracelets that I designed. I made the bracelets to match the colors of my book. Copies of my book are available now on my website at http://zinahermez.com. People were purchasing both, and I signed and personalized the books. There were appetizers, networking, friendship, and fun! It was very nice.

I was able to share my story and offer simple methods on how I healed after my accident with tips like prayer, exercise, keeping a journal, and more… I read a few excerpts from my book.

I opened with a quote that is one of my favorites, “Love is a force that is able to heal the worst of situations.” I explained to my audience how love saved my life after my accident in 1994 through the care of doctors, nurses, family, and friends. I then challenged my audience to ask themselves how they could give or invite more of this love into their life. The kind of love that has the power to heal and the power to save. The kind of love that I experienced.

Our prize drawing was a copy of my book, Not Without God. The winner, Elizabeth, was excited and that really meant a lot. She assured me the book could not have come at a better time since she is going through a divorce. She also said she really needed to hear my talk that night. I appreciated the feedback. It’s always a blessing to receive responses like this after I’m done speaking, or after someone has read my writing.

I’m rapidly approaching the launch of my book, Not Without God! It will be released in October and available online or at your favorite bookstore! It is available in bookstores and online right now for pre-order. I will attend a Writer’s conference in Grand Rapids, Michigan next month. I really look forward to meeting a few writers there that I have only met on line, and I also look forward to making new friends. I’m grateful for all of the love and support I have received. It is a busy, but exciting time!

“Love Conquers All”

“Love is a force that is able to heal the worst of situations.” ~Zina Hermez

It’s one of my favorite quotes from my forthcoming book, Not Without God: A Story of Survival. Love helped me heal from my accident on Oct. 18, 1994. The love from friends and family, and the love at the University of Michigan C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital was incomparable. It emanated from the doctors, the nurses, even the families of children who were ill. There was this energy I can’t explain, but it translated into a lot of love.

The reason I wrote Not Without God, is to share my story and how I healed from a catastrophic accident that left me paralyzed as a teen. I hope that through reading my book, others will be inspired and overcome their own challenges of any kind. I pray that through my story, others will be able to get insight into how to heal.

Today I’m grateful for the abilities I have and the ability to walk at all, and I have not given up. I went from being a popular teen to alone and handicapped. I was on a breathing machine. I could not talk. I could not move. I could not eat solid food in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit for nearly a month. The only way to communicate was to write.

People tell me “you’re so strong” all the time. Perhaps I am; but for me to be here is a part of God’s plan. He controls everything. We have to understand that everything happens by Him and for Him. I think sometimes people have this misconception that they are rewarded because of their effort or hard work and things they do. Good things happen to them, and they get surprised when bad things occur. But God allows suffering sometimes. No matter how much I’ve been through, it’s nothing compared to what Jesus went through.

Today is Palm Sunday: the first day of Holy Week. Easter is on Sunday, April 20. No matter what our burdens, let us carry them and follow after Him.

But He was pierced for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on Him, and by His wounds we are healed. —Isaiah 53:5
