When times are tough…

At times I find myself waiting for the “fight” to end forgetting that I have been fighting all my life. Setbacks, an accident, or just plain opposition have all made me fight. I think it’s naïve to think that the hard times will end. Yes, things can change for the better and when they do it is wonderful!

Things sometimes change for the worse. This is when I must realize that the fighting never ends. I don’t mean to fight as in a physical one, but in a spiritual, mental, or emotional battle. Still God bestows His blessings upon us. It seems that the more we are blessed the more we have to fight sometimes.

Everyone has to live with adversity in their life. It feels good to let this out because I can see that struggles are something we all encounter. I can do my best to remember that even though there are difficulties the outcome depends on how I respond—by never quitting, and never giving up hope for the better I have already won.

I'm a teacher, writer, and speaker. I got into publishing when I joined a Christian writers' group online where I met a few select authors who mentored me. My life changed. Through classes, webinars, and friendly emails, I've been encouraged to write. I started my blog to cope with my spinal injury in hopes of helping people.
