Guard your hearts. We are living in a time of desperation and loneliness. Take a look at what is happening around us. I usually don’t start my articles out like this but I am frustrated. Hatred only breeds hatred. Let’s put an end to it!
It feels like we are still living in the 1950s. I mean, we are having a debate about whether or not we should take down a Confederate flag? Seriously? This is the 21st century! Why are there people who racially divide us?
It’s interesting to me that so many think the end of the world is near. They talk about it on television, and write books about the end “signs” of the times. I read that there were people on this land in the year 12,000 B.C. (Before Christ). Yes, it’s true! We just arrived.
Where are the forward-thinkers? Do they exist? The insecure like to mask themselves with confidence. Tolerance and respect seem to be forgotten.
When you do not agree; it is better to accept the other side’s opinion even when you have a different belief. It is easier to like someone who agrees with you, but the challenge is to remain calm even in the midst of opposition. Isn’t that something we learned in grade-school?
Unity abounds. In it are the keys of life. Accept one another’s burdens. It’s the secret to making our lives light. ~Zina Hermez
