Ryan Graves on the Lex Fridman podcast: UFOs and Aliens special!👽🛸✨

Have you ever thought that maybe they could exist? I know I have. Ryan Graves, who is an F-18 advanced fighter pilot for the Navy, has engaged with UFOs. He goes into all the details along with discussing the Department of Defense’s release of UFO footage.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qLDp-aYnR1Y If you start this video at about 1:01 Ryan starts to talk about how he saw a light and engaged with it while he was flying one day, but, he first talks about all the stars over the ocean–the shooting stars and the peace he felt just before it. Then he goes on to explain, again, that he and a few people in his squadron had detected UFOs. The link to the Lex Fridman podcast is above.

When he was a junior pilot, around 2014, he had been operating with his team in the city of Afghanistan. He came back here, entered “the maintenance phase,” and further discusses the F18. The upgrading, and other things I will never understand. lol😅

But once he starts to talk about the radar of the F18, I understand a little better. He says how they had even gotten a better radar back then. There was a transition. So…there were objects on the radar that they hadn’t seen before. He’d seen these objects more clearly with the new radar: they saw a representation of the objects (UFOs).

All the data that came in represented tracking from the radar that showed us where the object was going. The “target aspect” would go all over the place. It was stationary. The UFO was stationary against the wind. “That is very uncommon,” Ryan says. For an object to be stationary against the wind like that.

The objects were at 20,000 feet, 10,000 feet, etc. The US NAVY considers the wind whenever they do anything. They go by the current and even plan their activities that way. BUT THIS OBJECT was stationary against the wind. IT WAS NOT A DRONE, Ryan verifies. He’d see these “instruments” flying in patterns, sometimes circular or just going straight east. And he’d see them doing this ALL the time.

This is air space where there was NOT SUPPOSED TO BE anything at all, off the coast of Virginia Beach. It’s not restricted but it is well monitored and Ryan and his crew were out there every day! If you also forward this video to about 1:40, he explained that one of the objects he saw appeared to have the shape of a “gimble.”It was black and white and appeared to be two plates put together.

As if there is an energy field that went to the top of the “funnel” or to the bottom of it, he continues. It continued on a long path and then just abruptly went into the opposite direction. It was very strange.

I find this fascinating. Michio Kaku is a famous world-renowned physicist. He’s talked about aliens and other life forms on Lex’s podcast also. But back to Ryan for a minute, he could tell that these objects were not going into a straight line but in more of a drift, they didn’t seem to be controlled by a computer (or autopilot). Ryan goes on to say it’s not a secret that we are not alone out there and maybe even being observed! The reason I find this fascinating is because I’ve been studying physics for a few years now, and I’ve have heard from more than one world-renowned physicist–that if there are aliens out there–they would be 2-3 billion years or more ahead. We are a young planet.

They would be able to command the winds. We cannot, yet. Type 1 planets can manage their planets to where they don’t harm them through global warming, for example. A type 1 civilization is capable of harnessing planetary power. They control the weather, again, earthquakes and volcanoes, and they can even modify and prevent certain damaging weather events such as hurricanes, etc., Michio Kaku says.

“A type 2 planet would be stellar. They play with stars, entire stars, and they use the energy output of a star. They colonize nearby stars! Type 3 planets are galactic and able to ROAM the galactic space lanes.” We are on the cusp of Type 1, Michio Kaku, continues.

I am unique as a Christian in that I believe it is very likely there is other life forms. This is not hard for me to believe. As a matter of fact, I embrace it. I think they are peaceful. I think they even know Jesus as God and King. I think they are not out to harm. I think they know God and understand his love. I think what Ryan saw was them presenting themselves to us. Finally, I think there is a lot more to come!☄️🪐🌠

Ka’ree recipe and images! #tomatobeefstew #withcurry🥩🍅🥔🧅

Yesterday night I made Ka’ree, a very traditional meal. The best way I can describe Ka’ree is it’s a tomato (beef or chicken) stew to which some spices and veggies are added. When I was younger, my mom made this type of ethnic dish, (beef stew) around once to twice a week. One of my favorites has always been Ka’ree. I love the deliciousness of the curry, the hidden spice in the potato and what it adds to the tomato sauce, as well as the tender beef (or chicken) that shreds into the heated stew.

Ingredients

0.75-1lb chuck roast or chuck beef steak or chicken

4-5 large potatoes

an onion, medium-large sized (chopped)

6oz tomato paste

15oz tomato sauce

4-6 cups of water (for sauce)

2-3 tbsp of curry spice

1 tbsp vinegar

2 tbsns lemon juice

1 tspn dried lime (or Noomi Basra)–this is optional

1 tbsp oil

Kosher salt or table salt (I like to use a little of both!)–1 – 2 teaspoons

Black pepper–1-2 teaspoons is fine

chopped garlic cloves (no more than 2-3 chopped cloves, or it may be too hott)

2-4 cups cooked brown rice or long grain wild rice (I steer clear of white)!

First, you cook the meat: Cut the meat into cubes ( I used beef chuck steak) and you set it aside. I also used extra virgin olive oil (2 tbspns) and dashed the meat with Kosher salt and ground pepper to cook.

Oh, I also included the chopped garlic cloves before I started cooking!🧄

Voila! Should take no longer than 15-20 minutes. Make sure meat is tender (heat on high) you can add water.

After you’re done cooking set the meat aside. Now, use the same pan to carmelize the onions. Just cook them in an additional tblspn of extra virgin olive oil (classic olive oil is ok too) until they turn slightly brown. Try not to use vegetable oil; not the healthiest choice by far.

Cooking time to slightly carmelize onions should be no more than 5-10 minutes!

Next you add the curry (2-3 tbspns), salt, pepper, and tomato paste TO THE ONION MIX. Use the same pot (use a big one). The stew will eventually rise. AFTER you add the curry, 6 oz. tomato paste and 1-2 tspns of salt and pepper (each) to the pot, the pot will start to burn a little. The ingredients will brown. That is OK. It’s normal. See below.

You can see that once I added the tomato paste, curry, salt and pepper I mixed them together some (you can just add a dash of salt and pepper). After this you have to add the tblspn of vinegar. Be careful. It will smoke. Also have all ingredients ready to go at this point you have to work fast. As soon as the vinegar makes this mixture bubble, add the TOMATO SAUCE, 15 oz. can. This will stop the splash from the vinegar!🥫

Here I have added the tomato sauce and 4 cups of water. No more splash keep heat on high here.

Finally, add the potatoes and beef to combine all together. Add everything slowly, the water, little by little, gently add beef and potatoes. Combine all together.

You can even add an additional 2-4 cups of water depending on how much stew you want to have. You can use more salt and pepper. Table salt is fine to use at this point. I used kosher salt when I cooked the meat. Spice it how you would like, but don’t make it too salty. Keep in mind if it is under salted you can always add more later. You don’t want to use too much salt and ruin all your hard work!

Keep on high throughout let it come to a boil. Than reduce heat to medium high. Cover with a lid. Let it cook at least twenty minutes. Stir in between. Check on it. Once the potatoes are tender the stew is done. This can take anywhere from 40 min.-1 hr. You have to check on it regularly. Stir. Take a potato out, cut it with a fork, see if it’s tender (cooked), taste it, spice a little! Lol You get the idea. Be safe. And prepared. 🍅🥩🥔🧅🍛🧄

Oops… and I almost forgot—don’t forget to cook the rice! Ka’ree is put over a bed of rice. Here I have cooked 4 cups of brown rice.🍚🌾 And below is also a photo of the finished product! Have fun! There will be lots of leftover!😄

Who is God?✨

I watched a great podcast yesterday. Lex Fridman interviewed Bishop Barron. It’s nice to hear about physics from a religious perspective. I really got a lot out of it. Bishop Barron says “God is the substitent act of ‘to be’ itself.” That makes perfect sense to me. God says, “I am who I am.” He is God. He doesn’t need to prove himself.

“God IS the reason there is a more contingent being at all!”

“God is not an entity; people think of God as a big being,” Bishop Barron continues to say. God is beyond being. However, I do believe he is a “being” in heaven. I believe his size spans the earth and is probably even much bigger than that. Colton Burpo, in the book, “Heaven Is For Real” says that God looks like a much bigger version of the angel, Gabrielle. I believe that Colton said he wears a yellow/golden sash. If I remember correctly.

For me, I am a believer in God and always have been. I have believed in Jesus for as long as I can remember, from a very young age, I didn’t need “proof or evidence.” I didn’t need to see him or experience him with my five senses. I feel God. I feel him there with me every day.

And he speaks to me in the silence and in nature, in love through others, in friendships, and much more. God speaks to me when I’m listening to the Bible, for example, after I’ve just put it down or listened by audio, I get the clearest messages ever.

God’s very nature is to be, again. He is holding us together. Gravity is what keeps your feet to the ground. God made gravity, which keeps our feet to the ground and also keeps planets in their orbits! The universe(s), planets, galaxies, and billions upon billions and billions of stars are all held together by God.

Real faith is believing even when it’s dark, even when you can’t see, and even when you’re taught not to believe. It’s like an author to a book. The author may not seem to be in the book, but he is the writer. HE IS THE AUTHOR AND THE FINISHER. HE IS GOD.

Furthermore, God becomes one of us. God becomes a human (Jesus). Jesus makes humanity radiant and beautiful. He is the redeemer of all reality, Bishop Barron continues. “Jesus came to pay a debt that he didn’t owe because we owed a debt we couldn’t pay,” is another way to put it. The Bible tells us: “For God has bound everyone over to disobedience so that he may have mercy on them all” (Romans 11:32).

The greatest physicts in the world talk about free will (some of them think it is non existent) and that everything is in a cosmic or what I like to call a “divine” order. But we have choices. The world renowned pastor and NY Times bestselling author, Greg Boyd, says that God sees every choice we can make, every route we can go. Even when we make the wrong ones he is there to pick us up.

God foresaw that we would all need him. God knew we would all fall short. God is love; God is light. God is omnipresent, and he can be everywhere at once. God is all knowing and all kind.♥️

Whole Wheat Flour Chocolate Chip Walnut Cookies!🍪🍪👩‍🍳

Yesterday night I made homemade whole wheat chocolate chip walnut cookies and they are sooo delicious! Yumm! Since whole wheat is a much better alternative to white flour, I would like to share my recipe to put a health spin on baking. The next time you make homemade cookies, you may want to try whole wheat flour yourselves! It is better for you than white flour. 🍪🍪☕️

This recipe calls for:

3 cups of whole wheat flour

2 tspns baking soda

16 tablespoons cold unsalted butter

1 cup brown sugar

1 cup white granulated sugar (optional)

3/4 tspn salt

2 eggs

2 tspns vanilla extract

8 ounces of chocolate chips

2 cups crushed walnuts

First, you whisk together the flour, baking soda and salt. Put in a bowl. In a separate bowl, mix together the butter, sugar(s), eggs, and vanilla, and these don’t need to be too well blended just combine. Oops, don’t forget to add the walnuts and chocolate chips also!

Then, add the flour mix from the separate bowl. Now that all ingredients are in one bowl, use a wooden or regular spoon to combine and mix them together.

The mixture may seem a little dough like and hard to combine at first. Here’s the trick: add up to a half cup of water (as much as needed but not too much!) to moisten the combination of all the ingredients. Use your hand to knead. Put the mixture into cookie dough form.

You can even add extra flour and extra water to the combo mix to make more cookies. I added 2-3 cups extra flour and a little more water! It came out to 43 cookies!

Scoop the cookie dough (1-2 tablespoon sizes) onto oven trays covered with parchment paper, and bake for 8-10 minutes at 350 F. Then move the trays around to rotate cookies, bake for an additional 8-10 minutes. The edges should be golden brown!🍪👩‍🍳

Then let them cool on oven racks for at least an hour. Refrigerate. You can even freeze them for up to a month!🍪☕️🌰

Mixture of the second bowl.
All ingredients combined.
After adding water and kneading.
Cookie dough!
Voila!

Quantum Mechanics🌠✳️⚛️

Did you know that gravity is everything? It not only keeps your feet to the ground, but it keeps planets in their orbits in space. God made gravity. Not that God is gravity, but what God made–gravity, is incredible!!!

Quantum Mechanics gives us probabilities. These probabilities display that God gives us many chances, there are many routes we can take, we can even apply percentages to the likeliness of outcomes. This is all based on Quantum Mechanics. When a doctor gives you a prediction, for example, it’s based on science.

Quantum Engtanglement is a very interesting theory, when two objects interact (even if they widely separate, they have an influence on one another) regardless of the distance between them. One particle can be in Los Angeles and the other at the opposite end of the earth–but they will imitate one another, spin in the same manner, and even behave the same. Einstein used to call it spooky action at a distance!

Newton’s approach to gravity was a little different, says Brian Greene, world famous physicist. It wasn’t wrong but just older. We have now learned through Quantum mechanics that there are many possibilities. NOTHING is predictable. Even when we think we can predict something, we can be wrong. It happens EVERY DAY.

There are numerous possibilities, and in an eternal universe, such as the one we’re in, not only can ANYTHING happen but EVERY rare thing WILL happen!

A particle can be a wave, and a wave can be a particle. Technically, we are considered ‘particles.’ So we can be “a wave,” as a matter of fact, the entire universe is a wave. EVERYTHING is ENTANGLED.

There is even something called QUANTUM SUPERPOSITION! Not only are we all “entangled,” having a “duplicate,” so to speak. But if you have a physical system that exists in two configurations, IT CAN ALSO EXIST IN QUANTUM SUPER POSITIONS OF THAT CONFIGURATION.

If you have a coin that could be heads or tails, for example. In Quantum Mechanics it can also be in ALL the other positions, PART HEADS, PART TAILS, for example, so, not only is the coin “entangled,” meaning, there are TWO of them, but you can have doubles OF ALL KINDS OF COMBINATIONS. Partly heads, partly tails, etc. BUT WHATEVER YOU FIND FOR THE FIRST ONE YOU WILL ALSO FIND FOR THE SECOND ONE!!!

How do you apply this to your view of God? How does this apply to the Bible? I mean, if everything is entangled, BASICALLY, EVERYTHING that can be known is known! Because GOD is All knowing, he is omni present and can be everywhere at once. There is nothing God does not know, and he is aware of eceryboption that is available. The future is open.

As far as entanglement, the Bible reads, “I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me (Gal. 2:20).” WE ARE ENTANGLED WITH CHRIST.

Jimmy Tuman — National Youth Speaker and Mentor💕

Today I had the pleasure of meeting some special friends for breakfast🍳. Jim Tuman, his wife, Jan, and my longtime friend, Ginger, and I met for breakfast at a local resteraunt.

Jim Tuman is a sociologist, educator, and has been a radio and TV personality who has spoken to millions of people in more than 1,500 schools nationwide.

He has asked kids to examine their motives, goals, feelings, and wants them to make meaningful decisions about their futures. He has helped prevent teen suicide across the country.

Jim wants to create school environments where students and teachers feel ‘safe, valued, and loved,’ he says. Here is a PBS documentary that was done on Jim it is very moving! People are in tears over Jim’s unique compassion!

Cut Yourself from the Illusion of Self

How are we brought to consciousness? Why is it we are aware, more aware than animals are, for example? As humans, we are capable of more than other creatures. We can write symphonies, win the Nobel Prize, make a difference, start a non profit, have a family, and fulfill our lives to the best of our abilities.

But who is really in control? Did you ever think that there may be a higher power setting the precedent for our lives? Did you ever think of God as being the greatest computer designer that has ever lived? Yesterday I began watching this 3 hour podcast interview done by Lex Fridman. Here he is interviewing the great, Sam Harris. Sam is a world renowned neuroscientist and philosopher.

He believes that there is no such thing as free will, or that there is an illusion of free will. We feel like we are the captain of our own ships and like our decisions affect our outomes. Sometimes they do, but not all the time. At times things happen to us that we don’t choose. Things appear. We are not always happy with what we see, hear, or experience.

This is when we should take it with a grain of salt. Meaning, don’t get caught up in emotions or stuck in frustration or anger. There is an “author of our existence.” It is God. Ultimately, he is in control. You don’t know what you’re going to think next, what you are going to attend to or your next action. Everything arises and comes to you through an electrical impulse (neurons, axons, and messages from the outside environment).

“The script could already be written,” Sam Harris says. The sense of self is not an illusion. But free will he thinks is an illusion. Your existence could be compatible with an absense of free will. Sam says that “Some evil genious in the next room could be typing in code into your existence.” Lol It may feel that way when we fall short. We get upset, throw a fit, and get caught up in our feelings.

But what Sam is teaching here is very encouraging. Sam says to not get stuck in patterns of thought that are a hindrance to your well being. We are all agents, by products of the Big Bang, or Big Event, that happened 13.8 billion years ago. It’s incredibly freeing to recognize that the mind is not entirely ruled by you. Everything is under a Cosmic Order. We are under the Laws of Physics.

We have a king, Jesus, and Holy Father, God. They are the creators of our existence. We have to remember all they’ve done for us and always come back to love. Jesus died for our sins so that we may be free and live (forever) with him. “…for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body [and mind]” (1 Cor. 6:20).

Chaldean Cultural Center Visit!☦️💒🎥

I had a wonderful visit with two members from the Chaldean Cultural Center on Wednesday of last week. The executive director, Weam Namou, and the videographer, Michael Nafso visited me to talk with mom and I about my books and life story!📚

During their visit, we discussed the accident I had in 1994, how I survived though my faith, and walked again. We discussed my dad’s work in Baghdad and what he did after transitioning to the US. “The Chaldean Cultural Center (CCC) was established in February of 2003. A goal of the committee was to build a museum that covered over 5,000 years of history. They wanted to preserve our unique heritage and make it known to future generations of Chaldeans as well as to the public.

Red meat for health 🥩⚕️🧅🌾

Did you know that eating meat promotes a healthy lifestyle? When you eat lots of protein, you’re able to burn off 20-25% of it, and you don’t even need to exercise! As a matter of fact, you can live a sedentary life and still lose weight as long as you eat right! Do not fear red meat. I tend to follow a paleo and Mediterranean-style diet. Think back to the caveman, obesity did not exist during their time. We didn’t have the faulty guidelines we go by now. Vegetable oil packaged foods are not good for you, six grains per day (as recommended on the USDA food pyramid is not good for you), and fruits are not healthy and okay in abundance because they grow on plants and trees. They contain a lot of sugar. Did you know that in NY City you cannot send your child to school with whole milk? Did you know that they’re given pizza and donuts, though? Saturated fat is not all bad and doesn’t cause heart disease. Therefore, red meat, even bacon, is OK. I have lost around thirty pounds since last year in November. When I first started I was on a strict diet—eating only 1,200-1,300 low calories per day. Now I’m eating up to 1,800-1,900 calories and still maintaining the same weight! And it is not because of more exercise! I make sure to get in meat at least one 4-6 ounces two times per day with a side of veggies. I have two eggs for breakfast every morning. I still get in some sugar and snack (within limits). Eating protein each day once to three times per day promotes health. The nutrients in red meat are vital for me. Iron, B1, B12, Vitamin D, and other nutrients are crucial. You can’t get them the same way anywhere else.🥩🥓🍗🍖

Homemade Whole Wheat Walnut Cake!🥮🌾🌰

Baking has always been a favorite past time since I was a kid. At home they’d call me ‘Betty Crocker.’ As an adult I’ve grown more into the baking art and really enjoy embracing my ethnic side with the foods I make!🫒

They said it couldn’t be done, but I did it. Homemade wheat walnut cake from scratch! It’s never been done without white flour as far as I know. Mom was proud. I altered this traditional recipe to make it healthier. It is delicious! Even more delicious than the all-purpose flour version.

I have to be original and think of healthier methods. I hope I see posts from people in the future who have swapped the all purpose white or self rising flour for whole wheat cakes.

I altered the recipe a bit. Since it’s a foreign food, I was able to locate a few people who made this and one even attached a video. I didn’t follow the exact measurements. The better you get with baking the more you just know what to do.

Here is my own recipe:

It contains 3 and a 1/2 cups of whole wheat flour, 3 eggs, two teaspoons of baking powder, crushed walnuts (as many as you’d like :), a cup of whole milk, a cup and a half of sugar, a cup of butter, a tablespoon of vanilla extract, and I add a little water to make it more of a liquid form. You don’t want the cake mix to seem like dough. You are not making bread, you are making a cake. That’s why I add about a half cup or less of water. You basically mix them all together. I add a little extra flour (about a cup or two) to make two cakes each time. You can slice and freeze the cakes for up to a month. You bake at 350 F for a minimum of 30 minutes. Baking time can take up to an hour. Once your toothpick comes clean you’ll know it’s done.😊🥮☕️

Oh, and it might not be a bad idea to add about a 1/2 cup of vegetable oil into the mix.☺️ It will help the cake to keep that liquid form.

I made these wonderful meat “pizza” and tabbouleh pies yesterday! The taste was fantastic! I added a hint of citrus 🍋 to each one and combined with the parsley, tomatoes, yellow peppers and onions. Ever think of yourself as a hologram?

Have you ever heard of the holographic principle? Could the WHOLE UNIVERSE be a HOLOGRAM? This is not just a speculation but a THEORY that scientists take very seriously. The idea is that everything is just a two-dimensional projection of the universe. So our three-dimensional world is actually just a hologram. It seems real. But it’s a holographic projection that operates on a 2D surface that bounds us and is way out onto the edge of the observable universe. These Laws of Physics and processes way out there would create a reality that seems real but is really just a holographic projection of the details and data and information on that distant surface, says Brian Greene, world-renowned physicist. Everything we do and think is processed through our brains so our brains help us to process things and find patterns and organize things and allows us to tell a story of what could be happening. The story could be something our brains have concocted to make sense of our perceptions. It’s a real possibility, continues Brian. I have often said we are moving here through our imagination. What Brian says makes sense because it could all be happening in our minds. We play a bigger role here than we realize. Assyrian Chaldean Cake!💟☦️

Home made Walnut cakes!🥮🌰🥮

These cakes were fun to make today! Homemade walnut cakes made with all purpose flour (3 cups), baking soda (2 tspns), vanilla extract (1 tblspn), walnuts (chopped up) 1 cup or more, white granulated sugar (1 1/2 cups), milk (1 cup), three eggs, and a bit of water (the water was my trick to keep it cake like and not in a dough form).

I’ve wanted to make this cake for years. It’s a cake I often had while growing up and visiting relatives houses with my parents or with their friends. This cake is almost always accompanied with ‘Tchai,’ or tea. It’s a social dessert, comforting, and yummy all at the same time!

I found this recipe from a girl in New Jersey who posted it online. She had the accent.😄 Nonetheless, it wasn’t until I was two thirds of the way into making it that I realized something was missing. The mix was not liquid like enough, and then I realized I forgot to add the milk!🥛🥛🥛

Voila! There goes that. I also remembered (by watching mom for so many years making bread), that I could add a little water to increase the amount of cake! I also added a little flour. All of a sudden, I had two cakes!! I tried to make walnut topping designs, as you can see here!

Oh, and here’s a little secret. I didn’t use one of those fancy cake mixers! (Ssshhh!) I never liked those anyway. I used my hand to knead. My hands were clean. I wash throughout cooking and baking multiple times! That is the REAL way to bake. Bakin’ the ol’ school way!🥮😂🥮

Happy Forth! Eat well!🌟🇺🇸🌱

Happy Fourth of July!☄️ There is a war in America. It’s a war on food. This was my breakfast today. We are taught to not eat animal products and that vegetarianism or being a vegan is healthier! Simply not true. No evidence supports the idea that eggs, cheese, or red meat cause cancer or even heart disease; on the contrary, people who gravitate towards ‘low fat,’ no sugar, sugar-free, low protein, and more of a plant-based diet have been proven to get sicker. High fructose corn syrup is widely used; and it’s even worse than sugar. Sugar is ok in moderation, in my opinion. Too much of anything is not good. Mostly all processed food contains high fructose corn syrup. Vegetable oil is another item widely used that’s not good for you. I only use extra virgin olive oil unless I’m making a cake mix that calls for vegetable oil. I don’t eat out at restaurants much. The way food is cooked in most restaurants is with vegetable-heated oils and not healthy for you. My idea is to reduce carbs (I’m in a constant struggle with myself to stay away from snacks, but I do snack a little!). Again, we have to find that balance. The point is, when you gravitate more towards protein/nutrients in healthy ‘fat’ through meat/poultry/fish, etc. you eat less because your body feels fuller. There is iron, B1, B12, and a whole bunch of other vitamins in meats. It’s incredibly healthy! You can even turn around diabetes. The other thing I do is fast more in the nighttime hours. I eat very little and do not eat dinner late at night.

Yesterday’s dinner was delicious!🥩🍜🥔🧅

I did it again! Today I even had leftovers!😀 I can’t stress enough that meat is good for you. I have lost weight by adopting this method. Having at least one 4-6 ounce meat/poultry/fish per day along with a side of low carb veggies can really improve your health. Red meat is ideal for me because at times I can be mildly anemic. The health and nutrition provided by following this plan: a paleo, or even Mediterranean style plan is priceless! I have lost weight and am now fitting into pants I haven’t worn in years! Of course limiting snacks and sugar helps along with fasting in the evening/near bed time hours. I am not one to eat dinner at night. This top sirloin fillet was cooked to perfection and the asparagus and Asian style noodles made it so yummy. I also worked in potatoes and onions. Yumm! I love the feeling after I’ve just had some good nutrition.🥩🍜🧅🥔🌱

Keep in mind that you cannot go up against the Almighty One. Keep close to your heart some of the fruits of the spirit: patience, long-suffering, kindness, humility, self-control—in the end, you will be victorious. Today’s dish was nutritious🍅🫒🍆

Today’s main course was incredible! I got some really great nutrition in with this one! #baked #chicken with sliced #eggplants along with cut up #potatoes You can’t leave out some fresh #healthy #tomatoes The thing I love about cooking meals like this is all you mainly have to do is cut up the #veggies 🍆🥔🍅 Then design them in a pretty way in a nice #baking dish. But of course, use #salt and #pepper on the ingredients. I used #kosher salt and ground pepper. I also added non-stick cooking spray as well as a cup of water to the bottom so it wouldn’t stick. I #baked at 350 F for at least 35 minutes, more like 45, and even increased the temperature to 400 F for the last ten minutes or so. You be the judge of when it’s finished. Oh, and I drizzled #extravirginoliveoil over the #chicken and #potatoes and other #vegetables. Mornin’ Breakfast☀️🍳

Heart-shaped eggs w/kuftas and a side of cut up potatoes and onions!

Breakfast should be nutritious and good for you. I have two eggs for breakfast just about every morning because of the benefits of the eggs and the protein. This morning I made heart shaped eggs.💕🥚 The nutrition is priceless. Do away with the myth that the egg yolk is bad for you. The yellow yolk is not bad; on the contrary, it provides a variety of benefits. There is no evidence that dietary cholesterol raises blood level cholesterol. Animal products can be really good for you. Red meat (beef) does not cause inflammation; red meat reduces disease because it has a variety of benefits including iron and B1, B12, and B16 vitamins. Therefore, I made these amazing little “kuftas” on the side, and each one is only 67 calories. They were spiced to perfection and yummy. I also had my low carb side of veggies (mixed with a little extra virgin olive oil), and lightly salted with pepper.🥔🧅 With a cup of coffee, today’s breakfast was delicious!☕️

Quantum Superposition!✳️🌌

Superposition—at the core of Quantum Mechanics—means we have a Quantum system that can EXIST in TWO different CONFIGURATIONS, Quantum mechanics says it can also exist in QUANTUM SUPERPOSITIONS of that Configuration. A flipped coin, for example, is not just heads or tails it can also be in all of the other configurations! Part heads, part tails, etc. QUANTUM entanglement is applying that to systems that have multiple parts, and there is a CONSTANT CORRELATION between these two states. If one is heads, the other is heads also, and so forth… The ENTIRE universe IS entangled this way. Everything has a duplicate! What this law teaches, in my humble opinion, is that everything you experience, God experiences, everything you feel, God feels. All the pain and even joy you experience he experiences as well. When you cry he cries, and when you rejoice, he also rejoices. “Now if we died with Christ, we believe that we will also live with him. For we know that since Christ was raised from the dead, he cannot die again; death no longer has mastery over him. The death he died, he died to sin once for all; but the life he lives, he lives to God” (Romans 6:8-10).♥️

Super Healthy Dinner!🥕🥖🐤

Today I’m in charge in the kitchen. So you know what that means, there will be a ‘meat’ of some sort with colorful veggies. Oh, and here’s a tip: use ketchup instead of any white creamy stuff (such as Ranch, etc.). Ketchup is so much lighter in calories. I’ll admit, I did accompany this healthy meal with a small coke (90 calories only). No matter how healthy I eat and no matter how much I strive to make more of my meals—a little side of coke each day is something I can’t give up! And I will admit, I do enjoy a little dessert often. I also added a slice of American cheese to that loaf of wheat bread, 80 calories. Cheese is actually healthy to snack on. All in all, I will “guesstimate” this meal is at about 490 calories, and that is not too bad at all with a healthy balanced breakfast. I’m working to maintain 1,440 calories or less per day. With a healthy meal like this I should be OK.👍 #mediterranean #paleo #keto #diet #health #foodie #healthyfood

Happy Father’s Day to my dad in heaven🕊🙏☦️

We are told by the Mormons that we know that God’s throne is in a ‘star cluster’ containing many large stars, something which would create massive gravity and slow it down perhaps to where a day could equal a thousand years! Abraham 3:2 reads: ‘And I saw the stars, that they were very great, and that one of them was nearest unto the throne of God: and there were many great ones which were near unto it.’ The name of the one nearest to God’s throne is Kolob. Abraham tells us that Kolob ‘govern[s] all those [worlds] which belong to the same order as that upon which [Abraham] standest.’ Kolob could be at the center of our galaxy. The gravitational pull created by this cluster of huge stars (along with gravity from dark matter) holds our galaxy together and keeps the outer rims (where we are) from flying off into the intergalactic space.”

This Book of Abraham was canonized by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in 1880.

The benefits of meat for health!🍃🥩🥔

I will never get tired of healthy cooking. This was worth the wait! I just added some ‘hickory’ barbecue sauce to go with this yummy steak!🥩 First, it was pan-seared in a bit of extra virgin olive oil and unsalted butter (w/kosher salt and pepper!). THEN, it was cooked on the stovetop. Later put in to bake at 400 F for 35-45 minutes. Wow! I added the fresh spinach (also cooked) and cut up onions. Perfect with a side of brown rice and potatoes! This meal actually increases your chance of weight loss. It’s the iron in the spinach, and many nutrients in the meat. This is very nutritious. What is faith?

Having faith has so much to do with what we envision. We don’t always realize it; sometimes, we think that having faith comes only through what we hear. But faith lives in our imagination. Imagination is a powerful tool, and what we dream of can become manifest.

What you hear has a way of affecting you too. “Faith does cometh by heareth.” That’s why what we hear can affect us.

At sixteen years old, while trying to cross the street on my way to school I was hit by a car. When some doctors predicted I would never walk again it crushed my spirit. But I had faith and heard God say that I would. Although I’m not walking the way that I did before my accident, it’s a miracle I can walk at all.

I’ve accomplished walking because I envisioned it. While in the hospital, I imagined myself walking even when I couldn’t sit for more than a minute. And now, all these years later, I never dreamt I would be able to use a treadmill machine or have the ability to walk up to a mile. My point is God will take you even further than what you’ve dreamt.


Culture teaches us that all we have are our five senses. We are taught that using our imagination is silly. There is so much beyond what you can see though. God lives in our imagination. It is the only way we can see him while we’re here, says famous pastor, Gregory Boyd.

World-famous physicists have even confirmed, that imagination is not a tool we can choose to use, it’s how we’re moving through life.✨

What is grace?

Grace is a gift. Our work doesn’t consistently demonstrate that we should earn it. God loves us because we are his children. Grace is not earned. It is freely given. Paul tells us in the Book of Romans, 11:6, “And if by grace, then it cannot be based on works, if it were, grace would no longer be grace.”

Some have a misconception about how to come to the Lord. They may think you need to have had a sin free life, or that he would not accept you into the Kingdom if you’ve messed up. The opposite is true. Whether we are a “Noah” or fall short (we all do), God longs to be with you.

The ‘doing’ good will get us into heaven, but the doing is just a reflection of how we feel in our hearts. All we have is now, so let’s make the most of it. God can pull you out of your past, so you can live fully in the present. The path will not always be an easy one. God may call you to put away selfish desires, arrogance, or any sense of entitlement.

Following God is not always a “live your best life” kind of path. At times there may be hardship and even rejection. It isn’t always pleasurable. He is continually molding and shaping us. When you ask the Lord to direct you, he will guide your steps. It will be worth it in the end. When you know where the grace in your life comes from, it makes it that much more special.

What is time?

God has a way of doing things on his timing, and his timing is better than our own. We don’t trust in God’s timing enough. We often think that our ‘time’ should be his ‘time.’ However, what is time anyway? According to the world’s greatest physicists, the past, present, and future are equally as real, and in space-time, they are happening at once! We don’t have time, we have entropy. We feel like we’re moving through time or flowing through it. However, time is not what we think it is. From a physics perspective, again, the idea that time passes or that we’re moving through time disappears…

Think of the arrow of time in this way. It is not built into the fundamental nature of reality, says famous physicist, Sean Carroll. We live in the aftermath of the Big Bang…or Big Event, as I like to call it. It happened 13.8 billion years ago. Everything you see, hear, feel, taste, and touch is called matter and is a result of it. Our very own bodies are made up of the same elements contained in stardust. The future has already happened, you just don’t know it.

God will make what we want to happen on his radar. As his children, we want to have control and be the captain of our ships. But there is a cosmic order, and we have to work within the Laws of Physics. People tend to think that they can make anything they want happen. Culture teaches if you only believe enough, religion teaches if you only have enough faith, you can have whatever your heart desires. It’s not true. Some things you want never happen to you. BUT MANY things do!

“In an eternal universe, such as the one we’re in, every rare thing can happen if you wait long enough,” says the famous philosopher, Sam Harris. But we have to be patient. Miracles happen but not in the way you imagined and sometimes it’s in a way you least expect.✨

What is God?

God is omnipresent. He can be everywhere all at once. He is a God who does not sleep. We have access to him 24 hours a day. The world may teach us there is no God, there is no hope. The world may teach we are doomed. With God, there is always hope. There is restoration. The laws of physics prove to us that any (good) thing is possible. The double-slit experiment taught us that light and matter can represent characteristics of BOTH particles and waves. It teaches that ALL possible paths of particles can interfere with one another; even though one possible path happens. ALL REALITIES exist at once. It’s a concept known as superposition, until the final result occurs.

God can lead us through the worst of times. Just call out to him. We are told through the Bible that God is all around. The holy spirit is our present help in times of trouble. We cannot escape his presence. He comes to us through our intuition. We can’t tune out his voice or pretend he is not there. God is altruistic and kind. He is loving and he requires the same of us. He’s not just an old guy with a white beard sitting in the sky waiting to scold us! People who are focused on the judgment and warning everyone have never experienced the real Jesus Christ. They are portraying some mad made image of a God who won’t love you if you mess up. God’s love cannot change. He is the same as yesterday. Today. And forever.♥️

What is prayer?

Sometimes our prayers get answered in a way we least expect. Let’s look at the lame man in the Book of Acts (Acts 3). “One day Peter and John were going up to the temple at the time of prayer–at three in the afternoon. Now a lame man from birth was being carried to the temple gate called Beautiful, where he was put every day to beg (for alms) from those going into the temple courts.” The man asked for money because his paralysis debilitated his finances too. But on one of the many days the lame man asked for money, he got something more!

The man knew that Peter and John could help him. Peter said, “Silver and Gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you; In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise and walk.” And he took him by the right hand and lifted him, and immediately the man’s feet and ankle bones received strength. So, he, leaping up, stood and walked and entered the temple gate with them—walking, leaping, and praising God! Notice how the man’s miracle happened suddenly? He waited for a long time. As a matter of fact, he waited his whole life.

I think he thought he could no longer be healed anymore. Have you ever felt like it’s been too long for something good to happen to you? Have you ever felt like God’s forgotten about you? I mention him because on one of the many long days he sat there begging for sufficient funds, he got something more! He walked.

God knows what’s best for us. He doesn’t always say “yes.” He sometimes says “not right now.” But there’s no end to a prayer. You can never tell when or how it will get answered.

The holy spirit dwells within all of us, so when we activate prayer we turn on a switch. The God of all energy hears us. Even when it feels like God doesn’t hear you or your prayers are in vain, something is happening. You’ve opened the gateway. There are different forms of prayer. But think of prayer as a pathway to peace.

Once you make a request, there is usually an unfolding of events. At first you may hear from your intuition. Prayer doesn’t mean God will grant all your wishes. But when you keep the faith, God will compensate. For every prayer there is an answer.

When we say the Lord’s Prayer, we are praying for heaven to come down to earth. When we pray, ‘thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven’ we are making this request.❤️ In the Book of Revelation, Saint John has a vision: “Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and first earth had passed away, and the sea was no more. And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God,” and then there is a new dwelling place where we dwell with God forever.✨

In heaven, our light is Jesus and he lights up the sky. Imagine there is no ‘day’ or ‘night’ but only light from Jesus and God? We are told we will be given a ‘heavenly body.’

“For we know that when this earthly tent is taken down (that is when we die and leave this earthly body), we will have a house in heaven, an eternal body made for us by God himself and not by human hands” (2 Cor. 5:1).

It’s what’s for dinner!🥩🌽🌾

The steak and sides turned out fantastic! First I rubbed both sides with a dash of kosher salt and ground pepper. Then I pan-seared using 1-2 tablespoons of heated olive oil along with a tablespoon of unsalted butter. I flipped the steaks(s) every 3-5 minutes until well cooked. Note: I also added a half cup of water to keep the steak moist and prevent it from burning to the bottom of the pan. Then I moved over the steaks and put them on to the oven-safe plate and added the just rinsed frozen vegetables. I spilled the veggies over the steak in the oven safe. I first coated the plate safely with non-stick cooking spray. Again, I added a cup of water to the bottom of the oven safe. I cooked at 400-425 F for 25-35 minutes and then used a thermometer (steak has to be cooked to at least 145 F) to ensure they are cooked. I even splashed with a hint of wine and added barbecue sauce. I accompanied with brown rice and the veggies. Yummy! This was so delicious!

The Lord’s Prayer🙏

9 Pray, then, in this way:

‘Our Father, who is in heaven,

We are told to pray for his ‘kingdom to come on earth as it is in heaven,’ here in Matthew 6:9-13, the Lord teaches us how to pray. Can you imagine, how beautiful? The Lord has told us his kingdom is not of this world. In this world, there is evil. But if his kingdom comes, if his will is done, there will be no more suffering.

This is a very powerful prayer!

In the Book of Revelation, John has a vision—while on Patmos, God gave John a vision of the final days of earth, and a peak at heaven. In the vision, John saw the Holy City, Jerusalem, coming down from heaven to the new earth, for the old earth had been destroyed.

When we pray for the Lord’s will to be done. We are praying for perfect peace.☮️ Even when you feel like you’re in a dark world, remember, there is a light, Jesus, and he has overcome the world.🌍🕊✨

God is not a fair-weather friend. He doesn’t act like Al Capone, either, and is not ready to use a heavy hand. God is all-loving. All kind. And loves you even when you mess up. He is cross-like love. By bearing our sins, he bore all evil and wrong that could be known to man. Oftentimes, we get ourselves in trouble and then turn around and blame it on Him. God is a personal one. Spirit Lead Me Where My Trust Is Without Borders❤️

I pray to have this kind of faith. ‘Trust’ without border faith is bigger than just a ‘trusting’ faith. It’s easy to have a trusting faith. Most of us possess that already. We naturally trust in God for a good day, food, clothing, work, and friendships. Oftentimes, we get it all and more! But a ‘spirit without border’ faith is different. It’s where you trust in the unknown, the unpredictable, and believe in God to bring you out even in the direst circumstances. I have been called to have this kind of faith before—it’s where you just know, no matter how hard it gets—God will be there to help you through it. Your faith is so strong at this point that you bring the outcome into existence! The greatest physicists in the world have said we are moving here through our imagination. Therefore, imagination is not a tool we can just choose to use. It’s how we’re moving through life. Now, just think, you have a God who loves you so much that he gave you the ability to bring to pass your dreams with just your mind! So long as your dreams are permitted. God is still in control. God is on the throne, and we have to work within the Laws of physics. God also wants what’s best for us and those dreams of yours could be seeds he planted! “Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand” (Isaiah 41:10).

#Kleicha The National cookie of Mesopotamia (modern-day Iraq)🥖👩‍🍳

Yesterday was fun! As much as I love to cook and bake, you would think I’d already made home made dough before, but yesterday was the first time. I made a traditional cookie called a “kleicha!” I made many, actually. So I have lots to store and freeze up for later. I grew up on these types of foods, so I really enjoyed the art of baking and didn’t mind putting forth the effort into making them. There were three phases: making the dough, filling, and then fill and bake.

Did you know that yeast is good for you? Just one tablespoon of yeast has protein, and high levels of iron, phosphorous, and B vitamins. It’s quite nutritious.🥖👩‍🍳 #bread #yeast #healthyliving

Well after I made the dough, then I had to make the filling. Here it is below: I made ‘walnut kleicha.’ Allspice, sugar, and even some coconut are included!🥥

After that, I had to cut, crimp, fill, and fold. By the time I was done I had about 50 kleicha (cookies)!

Oh, I forgot to mention that I had to brush on the egg wash to the top of each cookie!

Then, FINALLY, bake at 375 F for a total of 25 minutes. Be sure to remove midway from oven and add another layer of egg wash, you can crimp your kleicha again, and then return your tray to the oven so they can fully bake! You want the color to turn into a deep golden brown.👩‍🍳🥖

They came out delicious and are perfect to accompany with a cup of tea or coffee for dessert! These cookies are especially made around Christmastime or other major events/holidays.🎄 They are presentable and nice to add to the table if guests are over and a delightful treat! This is true. “Gods plan is worth waiting for,” is what this image says. Sometimes our plans coincide with his. Sometimes we are on different timelines. Meaning, our plans will happen but not when we want them to. What we expect for our lives is not always how it turns out. What you thought your life would be like is not always the life that God wants for you. Don’t get me wrong—we have an unconditionally loving Father who wants to make our dreams come true. But there are the Laws of Physics. We don’t always get what we want in life. We have to work within the Laws of the Universe. It will not always be ’bad.’ It will not always be ’good.’ Usually it’s a combination of both. We are taught that in this life we should reach for everything and be supremely happy. That’s not how it’s supposed to be. We don’t have to have ‘everything’ in order to be happy. As a matter of fact, you could be going through the roughest time in your life and still be happy. I’ll tell you why. That ‘happiness comes from within’ quote is true. Actually, true happiness comes from knowing God. Having faith the size of a ‘mustard seed’ was not so much about the size of your faith and how big it has to be. Faith of a mustard seed is a genuine belief that you have a God who loves you and wants to bring you through. Therefore, no matter what the circumstances are—you should take heart if you know and believe God is working for you. When you seek after, follow, and try to learn his ways, he will especially help you. It’s your choice. We have free will. God will not force you to worship. God will try to bring you to his heart. The everlasting, all kind, eternal, unconditionally loving, God. Our Holy Father in heaven wants to bring you to himself. It’s simple. All you have to do is call out to him. Do it once. It gets easier. Make it a practice. And watch your life begin to transform in ways you never imagined!

When Mary Magdalene went to search for Jesus’s body after he was laid to rest, she was surprised to see he was not there. Who she thought was the gardener was Jesus. Mary went there broken-hearted. She went to his tomb. Her master, her God, had been crucified. All hope was gone. All security diminished. It seemed that death had won. Mary was telling the supposed gardener to tell her where he was (even though she thought him to be dead). “I will bring him here. I will take care of him.” Mary loved Jesus so much that she wanted to bring him to her and the other disciples. Have you ever felt like anything in your life has been dead, only to find it’s been resurrected? Have you ever been heartbroken beyond belief only to find a newfound hope, a new life you never imagined? I can’t imagine the awe, wonder, and fascination that must’ve been going through Mary’s mind when she learned that Jesus was alive! It meant so much—she ran back to tell the Good news to the other disciples. “Jesus is alive!” She tells them. This changed everything. Hope was alive. Death has lost. Evil had not won. Are you one who needs to ‘see?’ Do you need evidence and proof there is a God? Ask yourself this. Can you look at yourself without a natural mirror? How do you know you’re really here? How do you know the person you’re talking to is here? For you to deny there is a God but verify there is a ‘you’ is pretty self serving. I guess if there’s no God, we can do whatever we want. If there is no God, we can be a ‘God’ to our selves. We don’t have to be altruistic, kind, or feel remorse. There would be no ethical code. We would be free agents. The truth is, you are not a free agent no matter how badly you may want to be. You have a God. He takes you back even when you mess up. Our Lord prays to the Holy Father for us. Our Father in heaven is unconditionally loving and kind. He wants what’s best for us. He’s not out for revenge. He’s not the picture some may have painted in your mind. He takes you through seasons and trying times, he is molding and shaping. You are a wonderful work in progress. This earth is not where it all ends. There are other dimensions. Distant lands. More than 100,000,000,000 galaxies that we know of so far. There are many. Many. Earth sized planets. There are hundreds of billions upon hundreds of billions of stars. Trusting God Is Not Popular; Do It Anyway♥️

Trusting in God is not popular in our generation, and I’ll tell you why. Trusting in God can be tricky. First off, people have a hard time trusting something they cannot see. We don’t always attribute nature, the beauty of the earth, and one another as belonging to God. We live in a generation of science deniers. People question whether NASA and its findings are a ploy or not. This is a generation devoid of trust who wants evidence. But even when the evidence is right in your face you are taught to deny it. God is in everything. Everything happens ‘by him and for him,’ the Bible tells us. To deny there is a God or live as though he doesn’t need your attention is not a good way to live at all. You came from God. You go back to God. You did not create yourself. He is the one who made billions upon billions of stars. Your very own being is made from those stars: you are made from stardust. The” Big Bang Theory” and “Book of Genesis” correlate as far as timelines go. Before there was anything, there was something—it was God. Trusting in him is not popular because you don’t see results immediately. You feel unheard often. You may continue in pain. But the beauty of God is he’s been working behind the scenes all along. He will lead and guide you if you ask him to. He will direct your steps and even when it feels like he’s not moving; He is working. Hearing you cry out. Working to your benefit. No prayer is ever unheard or unanswered. Even if you receive a ‘no’ he will give you the grace to get through it. He will replenish and restore. Your life is not completely in your control; God is in the driver’s seat. Ask him for help with it.🌟✨💫

God’s Timing ✨🌟💫

This is so true. I find myself trying to make things happen that it is not ‘time’ for. You see—I’m a go-getter. I don’t like to wait. I focus on the present and make what I want to happen now. But God doesn’t always work like that. Meaning, we are moving here from faith to faith. Every moment is a blessing (no matter the circumstances) you are breathing. Every day is a gift. We are going through stages and periods and sometimes we want to rush our lives (hmm…I wonder why 🤔). We are more focused on reaching our destination than enjoying the journey. We need to calm down though. We need to savior our journey and be grateful even in what we deem as ‘bad’ times. God will bring us through it. He will make our dreams happen if we press towards our goals and be patient. He is good all the time.☯️✳️🙏

Zina’s Healthy Tips to Maximize Health⚕️

I’m not too sure how I feel about this bandana, thoughts? Anyway, you may get tired of my posts about food and diet lately. As some of you know, recently I created the page, “Zina’s Healthy Tips to Maximize Health.” https://www.facebook.com/Zinas-Healthy-Tips-to-Maximize-Health-112061191416124/ If you haven’t liked it already, I would greatly appreciate it if you do. The cover photo is a picture of my beloved father, I dedicated it to him. He lived to be 87 years old through wonderful doctors and medicine. He didn’t always make the healthiest choices, but one thing I distinguishably remember about dad is he had eggs for breakfast every morning typically with sausage. He would eat cold Turkey often and raw tomatoes. He’d at times eat liver from an animal or even tongue from a sheep (yuck!). He wasn’t the greatest cook and left that to mom. But when he did eat or prepare something himself, it was always ‘real’ food.’ I remember ordering pizza one time and him and mom yelling at me and saying, ‘What’s that?’ Cheese with bread.😂😂😂. I also created this page to celebrate not only food but life. I have had my share of surgeries and health challenges in my life because I suffered a spinal cord injury at just sixteen years old from a vehicular related accident. During one health crisis, I tried to become a vegetarian and didn’t eat meat for three months, but that was not the cure. I also considered doing the very difficult ‘Daniel fast.’ And was not able to do it at that time. Nonetheless, I’m feeling better, so much better, and have been studying food for months. In the last several months I’ve dropped more than 25-30 pounds, so I want to share with the world what I’ve learned. The number one cause for disease is food. When you don’t eat right it can cause inflammation and an array of other issues. I am also happy to announce that I have hopes for writing a third book, but this time it will be a healthy cook book. I’d appreciate all your support as I continue to go through this health journey. I can never fully cure my spinal cord injury, but I can choose to be as healthy as possible even though I have to live with it for the rest of my life. With God all things are possible. It’s hard for that to register in a world that’s so bleak and dim, in a world filled with war, hopelessness, disease, and fear. What we have to realize is that part of the ‘call’ is to not only believe in life everlasting but to live with an undying hope. What does this hope say in dark times? There is a God. What is the promise for those in pain or suffering? There is a God and you will get through this. Getting through is just that. It doesn’t mean we can work around it, ignore it, skip over it, or escape it means we have to get through it! There is hope on the other side if our intentions are pure–there will be a rainbow at the end of it. There will be a sunshine. There will be whispers in your heart that say, “Keep going. I am God,” and “Don’t give up.” There is a glory that awaits us on the other side. And sometimes we’re lucky enough to catch glimpses and “specs” of it while we’re here. But it awaits. Repent. Praise God and be grateful that he always forgives even when we mess up daily.☀️🌈🛡️⚔️☦️

What’s incredible to me is how the Lord preserves us and keeps watch over our lives. We may feel like the enemy has won, like there is no hope, as if life is worthless and there’s not much left to live for. But God will give us a sign. He will reach out. “Wherever You Go!”♥️

The Lord our God will be with us wherever we go. This Bible verse says ‘wherever.’ It DOESN’T say he will be with us ‘some of the time’ or only when we are doing good. It DOESN’T say he will be with us on happy days and abandon us when we’re feeling down in the dumps. It DOESN’T even says he will be with us ONLY when we’re in obedience to his will. It SAYS he will be with us ‘wherever we go!’ ALL the TIME. God doesn’t LOVE us or ONLY help us sometimes. He’s not controlling. He LOVES us all the time, even when we’re acting ‘ugly,’ he goes down into the valley with us and sees our pain and agony. He carries our frustrations and aggravations. When we lean on God, when we call out to him and realize WE CAN DO NOTHING apart from him—His presence is Ever so Present! He is there to love us with open arms. He Forgives. Helps. Good morning, friends, today I want to share a video of the new recipe I made yesterday. Chicken-kale lemon skillet. After watching the video I want to add a few edits. You only need to use two tablespoons of Extra virgin olive oil in total. Once just before you begin panfrying the chicken, and the other tablespoon should be used when you cook/mix up the veggies! That will be enough. You also only need one 1/4 of a teaspoon of kosher salt to sprinkle over each piece of chicken while panfrying. Kosher salt is rich and tasty, a little goes a long way. Also, before transferring your chicken and veggies into an oven-safe plate to prepare for more cooking, you want to use some nonstick cooking spray on your oven-safe plate. You also want to add one cup of water to the oven-safe plate after you have put down your chicken and veggies. The water will help your chicken and veggies to stay moist. I ended up cooking at 425 F for at least 20 minutes and then cranked the heat up to 450-500 for the last 5-10 minutes. You will judge when it is done by how the chicken looks and by using a cooking thermometer. Once the chicken has reached 155 F it is done! You can serve!

I am writing this to encourage you but also posting it to encourage myself. “Keep pushing. Keep believing. Keep trusting and keep going.”More importantly: “KEEP GOD FIRST.” I fail at this at times. My anger, frustrations, restlessness, and resentments get the best of me. But one of my prayers, especially lately is to seek God above all. As the Bible tells us, ‘Seek ye first God and his righteousness and ALL else shall be added on to you.’ Seek God first. This is my prayer. Sometimes seeking God first can be difficult. We are called to do things we would rather not do, called to face situations that are rather difficult, and have to deal with people that can be unbearable. But when we try our best to follow: he gives us the strength to go down to the valley, to encounter the unexpected, to face the most grave of situations, and he brings us out victorious! “God disciplines us for our good…”

The Bible Is Like Medicine⚕️📖✨

The word became ‘flesh.’ This Bible verse can be taken in so many ways. It’s true. I’m not sure where to start. I looked up the word, “Incarnation,” it’s a central Christian doctrine that God became flesh, that God assumed a human nature and became a man in the form of Jesus Christ, the Son of God and the second person of the Trinity. I thought that was described very well. Jesus became flesh. He came and bore our sins; our mishaps; our failures and our mistakes. The ‘word’ is so powerful, the Book of Hebrews goes on to tell us:

“For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. Nothing in all creation is hidden from God’s sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account (Hebrews 4:12-13).”

I try to practice listening to the Bible by audio (I have downloaded the Bible Gateway app). I try to listen for at least fifteen minutes each day. Sometimes this turns into a couple hours. I do well at it for a few weeks at a time then fall off my tracks. I skip a few weeks of listening sometimes. But the clearest messages and feelings I’ve ever gotten are usually right after or while listening to Scripture. The Bible provides us with fresh ‘living water.’ It’s like medicine to our soul.💦📖🕊

The Importance of Fasting for Health!⚕️

Intermittent fasting will get rid of any type of inflammation you have associated with -itis. Tendinitis, arthritis, colitis, etc. It will improve your skin, hair, nails, and organs. It increases fat burning and promotes anti aging. It is more effective than exercise! it helps with brain cells and improves cognitive function. It can kill cancer cells and reverse diabetes. The less you eat the better, and an 8 hour OR LESS window of eating would be ideal. I tend to do the 16:8. I eat during the hours of 10 to 6 and stop from 6pm and on. Giving me 16 hours of no food! Your body naturally goes into ketosis and stops burning carbohydrates for fuel. It will burn fat (it starts to burn it’s own fat), the right kind of fuel. Every time you eat you trigger insulin and the more times you eat in a day, the less chance you have of losing weight. Snacking is the worst thing you can do.:) I will attach Dr. Berg’s video. The Greatest of These Is Love♥️

How do we remain in love? How do we always ‘turn the other cheek,’ so to speak? I fail and get angry at times. Part of the human condition is to fail and sometimes we can’t help it. I think the important thing to keep in mind is that we feel remorse. If we feel remorse or upset for our wrongs, the hurt we caused someone, or our irrational behavior that makes the difference. God never expected for us to be perfect. He said I came for those who ‘are not well.’ The sick, the sinner, and the downtrodden. He came to save us from our hurts and pains. He did not come to condemn but to heal and save. I think we need to realize that healing is not a one time thing or event. God knew we would need to be healed, restored, and set straight more than once. But how do we do better? Good question. When we feel sorry, when we acknowledge the hurt, rejection or pain that we caused God notices that. He forgives. He restores. We’re given another day, another chance, and another opportunity to get it right. We ask him to help us. We have to humble ourselves. I remind myself that how I treat others is how I’m treating God, because the Bible tells us that the Holy Spirit dwells within each of us.❤️🙏✳️

Even Solomon In All His Glory…👑🌸

When king Solomon was asked by God what he wanted in a dream, he asked for wisdom. King Solomon could’ve asked for anything, and he asked to be wise. ‘He chooses an understanding heart. Wisdom, so he can make good decisions for his people. And God is so pleased with Solomon’s choice that He gives him every other good gift, too.’ King Solomon understood the unimportance of material things in comparison with wisdom and obedience to God. He knew his riches were only temporary, and he sought to be loved by God more than anything else. He went on to build one of the greatest temples in Jerusalem known to mankind.

When the Lord refers to Solomon in the New Testament, he uses him as an example of why we should not worry. God reassures that the Lillies of the field are cared for, and we will be too. The Lord says, “Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin: yet I say unto you, that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. But if God doth so clothe the grass of the field, which to-day is, and to-morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith? Be not therefore anxious, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? For after all these things do the Gentiles seek; for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. But seek ye first his kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you” Matthew 6:28-33). #NIV

Seek first the Kingdom of Righteousness, it’s a great reminder for all of us. Don’t worry about what you shall wear, eat, or drink—God will add all these things to you. What made King Solomon so special was that he sought. He was blessed by God and much was added to him.🤴✝️🕊

When Only God Is There❤️

When was the last time you depended on only God? When was the last time he was the first person you called, cried to, reached out to, or spent time with? God is always there. The blessings he has given us are a result of his love. First and foremost, we must remember that we have nothing without him. As the Bible tells us, everything happens ‘by him and for him.’ I can think back to at least a few times in my life when I felt I had no one but God. The time I spent three months in the hospital, alone, a month of which was spent in the intensive care unit. I prayed to him each day and night for healing, restoration, and hope for another day. There have been other times in my life that have demonstrated that too: a pure need for God simply just to make it through. Think back to some of the most difficult moments in your life. Who did you cry out to? Who did you ask for help? Who restored you? The Bible tells us that our God [continually] heals us. Therefore, healing is not a one-time thing or event. He knew we would neee to be healed more than once. Let’s take a minute to reflect upon all God has done for us. He is ever-present in the happy moments too. He’s always waiting with loving arms to listen, heal, and restore hope in us.♥️

Don’t gravitate towards sugar!🍥

The idea that you have to completely cut out sugar or carbs in order to lose weight is a myth. Carbs are in almost everything. We have ‘good carbs’ and ‘bad carbs.’ A banana has carbs, but they are a ‘low carb.’ As a matter of fact, the idea that a ‘plant based diet’ is the key to losing weight and health is a myth also. The food pyramid should be flipped upside down. It’s no wonder diabetes and heart disease are two of the most prominent diseases in this country. We are conditioned to gravitate towards sugar and taught that butter, milk, and meat are ‘bad for us.’ We’re taught that egg yolk is dangerous; however, new findings have reported that you don’t get high cholesterol from dietary cholesterol such as eggs, red meat, and ‘fatty’ dairy.


Actually, it doesn’t impact ‘bad’ cholesterol or your ’LDL’ at all.

I have lost weight and found my journey back to health by incorporating either meat, poultry, or fish twice per day. I have a side of veggies and one egg every morning. I stick to a calorie restrictive diet and home cook my own meals. Eating this way w/a healthy snack each day makes me feel full. I’m getting enough nutrition and iron to sustain me. I don’t have to gravitate towards sugar. Follow me for more tips on diet and health or let me know if you have any questions. I’d be happy to help!

Oh, and please spare me with the ’lowfat’ and ‘nonfat,’ reduced ‘fat’ stuff. Please don’t offer me protein ’shakes’ or ’skinny meals.’ That stuff is packed with things that are unhealthier than ‘fat’ or sugar. I steer clear of those products. Real food balanced with the right portion sizes is the key. We are taught to over eat.

Intermittent Fasting (benefits) & Calorie restriction! #health⚕️


I have been decreasing my amount of breakfast lately: for example, instead of having two eggs for breakfast, I am only having one. I don’t add ground beef every day, as a matter of fact, sometimes I skip breakfast altogether. Some of this is to continue to maintain my low calorie intake of 1,440 calories or less per day. Some of the reasons I’m decreasing is also because of the benefits of fasting or reducing food. Fasting has been proven to improve our health greatly. After eight hours of fasting, your body naturally goes into “ketosis,” so intermittent fasting is like doing “keto” without following a keto diet.

As of today, I have set my “eating” hours from 10 am to 6 pm. That will put me at a 16:8 plan. Eight hours of eating and 16 hours of no food. Again, after 8 hours of no food, your body naturally goes into ketosis and stops buring carbohydrates for fat. Instead, it burns fat and makes things called ketones, which it can use for fuel. That’s what we weant. Ketosis is a word you’ve probably seen while you’re looking for info. on diabetes or weight loss. Typically I have breakfast and lunch with a snack in the evening. I would like to get to the point where breakfast and lunch are cut by 200-400 calories each time.

I achieved that. The picture I posted above is of my breakfast. I had one egg: 70 calories. I had almost half of a sweet onion: that is about 18 calories in the picture above. I had a third of a Roma tomato: again, only around 8 calories. I also had a slice of split top wheat bread: 8o calories. With coffee (with limited cream and sugar), that is 50 calories. That’s a low 224 calories. As you can see, by taking out the regular 2 oz. beef and extra slice of wheat (or second egg), I have cut my calories significantly. However, I will incorporate ground beef maybe for lunch or tomorrow. The benefits of ground beef are incredible. Red meat provides iron and other nutrition. I have been anemic before and don’t want to get back on iron pills, so having red meat several times per week is important for me.

I I think this is one of the hardest lessons, ‘to bear with one another in love,’ despite our differences. Yet, it’s so simple. God requires us to be patient, tolerant, and to carry the spirit of ‘long suffering.’ I have failed at this. I get upset, want to be right, or am not willing to compromise. The need to be right can hinder us. We may very well be right; nonetheless, we have to ‘bear with one another (in love)’ no matter what. The pathway to peace is not always achieved by proving you’re right, but by settling differences. Let it go. Moving forward and hopefully toward a brighter tomorrow.☀️ ‘Happy are the peacemakers; they will be called Sons of God.’ -Matthew 5:9

Everything Is In Cosmic Order❤️🌌

God’s timing is perfect. Through studying physics, I have learned that God’s timing can be referred to as ‘cosmic’ timing, divine timing, and even ‘universal timing.’ Since God is the creator and maker of ALL things, and I mean, ALL, he is also the creator of this thing called ‘timing.’ Physicists like to refer to this ‘moment to moment’ we are living through as ‘entropy.’ After all, everything you see, hear, feel, touch, or experience is an aftermath of the Big Bang, or ‘Big event,’ as I like to call it, that happened 13.8 billion years ago. I don’t call it a bang because there was no noise or air molecules at the time. The ‘Big event’ timeline correlates with the Book of Genesis. The order of events, the sun came next and us humans, last. You see, there is a cosmic order. Some physicists, like Brian Greene, for example, deny that we even have free will. However, we are often presented with ‘choices’ in this life—our choices determine a result. So we do play a part in what happens in our lives or the lives of others. The beauty about God and his divine plan is that even when we mess things up, he is there to pick us up. He gives us another chance. He forgives. He makes it right. Our God is All perfect, All loving, and kind.♥️✨

What We are Is Eternal (consciousness)🌟

Have you ever thought about what brings about ‘consciousness?’ I mean, what is the difference between you and a baseball bat? After all, you are both just a collection of particles. Of course the bat cannot think or behave like you! The bat could never be as conscious or aware as you are. Brian Greene, world famous physicist says, ‘we are an exquisite collection of particles.’ We have a high level of information integration going on ‘in our heads,’ Brian continues. He also does not believe in the idea of free will. He says we are governed by physical law and laws of the universe; however, as humans we have a variety of ways that we can ’respond’ to the world and outside environment. So then could we say that we are ’responsible’ for anything? Yes. If you played an integral part in a course of events, than you are also an integral part of the consequences that happen.’ It’s algorithmic. So, then, should we still be responsible for our actions and punished for our transgressions, so to speak? Brian says, yes. If our punishment would benefit society as a whole and stop us from doing it again. I’m going to add the link to this video, but first I will tell you how I see it: our God is a personal one. He was punished for our transgressions when he died on the cross. He was raised again by the Laws of Physics (our Holy Father created all of it!). I believe what Brian says, that so much is ruled by the Laws of the Universe, and of course, God made us to be more exquisite than a baseball bat. He loves us unconditionally—even when we mess up. And he is always waiting for us with open arms. We are here ‘from moment to moment,’ but what we are experiencing is eternal. There is no end.✨☦️⚛️

Signature Mediterranean Sampler Meal!

My Signature Sampler Mediterranean Meal!🐤🌾🌽

This was one of my main dishes while doing the Mediterranean diet back in November, and it’s still great to eat this way. Brown rice (if you’re going to have a grain, make it brown or whole wheat, for bread). Of course, there are other healthier grains, but brown rice and wheat bread were my go tos while I was on the Mediterranean diet. You may have learned that skin on chicken is bad for you, but the latest findings show that some skin on chicken is OK to have at least once in a while. It’s got Omega 3 fatty acids, which are good for your heart. And I don’t mean you should have at it and order Kentucky Fried Chicken or anything. All restaurant food can be more damaging than you realize. Heated ‘oil,’ especially vegetable oil and canola is a leading cause of obesity and diabetes in this country. You can see I have cooked homemade–and this piece of chicken thigh (w/skin) is 239 calories, 4 oz. The 1/2 cup of brown rice is 180 calories and the ‘mixed veggies,’ half-cup, are only 35 calories! It’s a win-win-win! And you’re getting in some ‘low’ or healthier carbs. Carbs to watch out for: sugary stuff, processed, cookies, TV dinner type, etc. Another note: I added a teaspoon of extra virgin olive oil to the rice AND the veggies and sprinkled them with KOSHER salt and some black ground pepper. Kosher salt–definitely the healthier option! Total calories in this meal: 454 calories (not including drinks or condiments). I’ve been thinking of writing a healthy cookbook someday, and this would definitely be a meal I add!😃🍽️🌾

Edits! you will have to adjust your heat from high to medium high from time to time. Take caution when frying anything with (olive oil) I use a lid when cooking the chicken to prevent all the bubbly oil from making a mess! Oh, and technically chicken is cooked at 150-155!

Tomato-onion Chicken skillet!🍅🧅



Today I decided to create a new recipe, and it tastes pretty delicious!! First I started by caramelizing the onions for 5 minutes, and if you’re wondering how I did that I will explain. You coat a pan with one tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil and then turn the heat up to medium-high heat. If the onions start to turn brown they are not burning, they are caramelizing it’s a natural process when cooking onions.🧅 Oh, I only sliced half of a large sweet onion. Then you add the tomato (I chopped a full Roma tomato) and continued to mix them together frequently. I cooked for an additional 5 minutes once I added the tomato. Don’t cook for too long or your tomatoes will become too soft. Then I moved the tomato-onion combo to a hot plate on the side. After that, I cooked the chicken. You can use two 4 oz. chicken thighs (skinless) or chicken breast pieces. Using the same hot pan, you coat one more time with a table spoon of extra virgin olive oil (you may need to add a little nonstick cooking spray or butter during the cooking process). Start with the smooth side of the chicken, again, cook on medium to high heat for 5 minutes then flip the chicken over. Cook for 5 minutes than flip, again. Please note: you will need to continue this process several times to make sure the chicken is cooked. Also, keeping the chicken covered with a lid will make it cook faster. Another note, you should keep 3-5 oz. of water on hand to continually add water to your chicken/pan. Adding the water with the oil and the chicken will make it boil over some and then fry a bit to get that nice brown look. Your chicken is not cooked until it has reached a temp of at least 145. Finally, I added a half cup of the tomato-onion combo and laid it over the chicken thigh piece. Yummy! My signature breakfast!🍳🥩🍞


This has been my breakfast of choice the last few weeks and I’ll tell you why. Red meat is good for you and contains vital nutrients: like Iron, for example. I tend to be anemic at times so this is important for me. A lot of rumors around eggs say that the yolk of an egg is bad for you and raises your LDL (bad cholesterol), but a recent study just done by Harvard University points to this info.:

“Since then, however, research has shown that most of the cholesterol in our body is made by our liver-it doesn’t come from cholesterol we eat. The liver is stimulated to make cholesterol primarily by saturated fat and trans fat in our diet, not dietary cholesterol. But a large egg contains little saturated fat-about 1.5 grams (g). And research has confirmed that eggs also contain many healthy nutrients: lutein and zeaxanthin, which are good for the eyes; choline, which is good for the brain and nerves; and various vitamins (A, B, and D). In fact, just one large egg contains 270 international units (IU) of vitamin A and 41 IU of vitamin D. One large egg also contains about 6 g of protein and 72 calories.”

So as you can see, eggs have many health benefits. Even the yellow part (yolk) does. I’ve also included half of a yellow chopped sweet onion to get a serving of my veggie group in. And I have a slice of wheat bread to get in a healthy grain.

I have my cup of warm coffee (w/limited cream and sugar). 50 calories. With the others, two large eggs, 140 calories, wheat slice, 80 calories, and half chopped onion, 14 Cal., oh, and a half of angus beef patty chopped up, 86 calories. (2 oz.) that brings me to a total of: 370 calories. A low calorie breakfast that provides many health benefits. #paleo #paleodieting #redmeat #eggs #health 🧅🥩☕️

Hallelujah! I’ve been this low but it’s been a couple years. This scale looks different from this time last year. I’ve lost 30 pounds or more!!🎉🥳🎈I’m not short and carry muscle. It feels good to have slimmed down. I’m still going for ten more!

Today marks one year since I began my ‘diet’ journey!🥑

This picture popped up today in my Facebook memories. It was my photo from last year. Yes, intermittent fasting is great but it’s not enough! I mean, it’s enough to maintain your weight, to repair cells and to reduce some inflammation. But it’s not enough to lose weight! I mean, you can lose ‘some weight,’ but since last year I have incorporated the Mediterranean Diet. I started out with a restriction of 1,200-1,300 calories per day last November and had Greek Yogurt for dinner often. In a matter of weeks, I lost 25-30 pounds! Fast forward to today! I have learned so much more about food. The importance of eating red meat, how vegetable oils (and most restaurant food can be toxic), how the Food Pyramid we go by includes too many grains. I learned a lot of things about diet through this journey. As of yesterday, I switched over from the Mediterranean to more of a Paleo-diet. Or, ‘caveman’s’ diet, as they call it. The cavemen were healthy and diabetes and heart disease didn’t run rampant in their day. Today we have too many grains and too much sugar and packaged/processed food. Just study the grocery store next time you are shopping. The latest studies even show that fruits and vegetables don’t have all the benefits we believe them to have. They have some benefits and are low in calories. They make you feel full. But I’m switching to more of a Paleo style diet. I have a tendency to be low on Iron and anemic. The Iron that you get and other sources that come from a Paleo diet will be good for my health! I looked great in this picture and felt better, but the truth is–after four weeks of intermittent fasting I had lost very little weight. In this day and age, with the food that is out there, more is needed than just Intermittent fasting. We have to be aggressive at taking care of our health!

Paleo-Diet 101!🍳🍖🫒

It HAS TO be Extra Virgin Oil! I’ve had enough of the Mediterranean! Now I’m moving on to bigger and greater things (although this dish is kind of Mediterranean!)🤣

This morning I had two eggs for breakfast, scrambled, 140 calories. It’s OK to eat eggs! I also had a 4 oz. (angus) beef Patty, chopped up! Well, actually I ate about 3.2 oz. (192 calories). Meat is good for you and healthy.

I also had two 1/2 slices of split top wheat bread 🍞 on the side (70 calories) and about 1/2 of a chopped sweet onion 🧅! 8 calories. Yes, I eat raw onions! I just rinse them off before I do.

Oh, and of course I had a side of coffee ☕️w/limited cream and sugar, 50 calories! That is a total of 460 calories (red meat may be a little higher in calories, but the benefits of red meat are priceless!). Red meat contains Iron and other vital sources that we don’t get in other food! It was a yummy breakfast!

Yesterday’s Speaking event on Not Without God!

Yesterday I got to speak with the Bloomfield Hills Optomist Club on my book(s), Not Without God: A Story of Survival and Not Without God: Hope In the Storm. It was a great time. The group was so nice, and I got a lot of positive feedback and even ideas for future speaking engagements, etc. I gave an overview of both books: I always love to tell the miracle story of how my friend, Dennis, healed my arm (it was stuck at a 90 degree angle from the crash), and I also like to recount details of the others who have helped me during a critical time. I talked about my latest, Hope In the Storm, and discussed some of the latest spinal cord injury research and gave information on cures for brain diseases. I also got to discuss a bit about physics and how it relates to God, one of my my favorite subjects!⚛️ There we’re many other things I discussed in my speech. And I had a Q and A session after I was finished. It was a great experience!

Today’s breakfast!🍳🍖🍞☕️

Its incredible how we are steered in the wrong direction when it comes to food in this country. For example, we are taught that red meat is not good for us. When the truth is just the opposite.

This morning I had ‘koftas’ with eggs for breakfast. The above info is the research I found when I googled ‘kofta.’ Here is a picture of the breakfast below:


This breakfast equaled a total of: 426 calories and that is not including the coffee I had with it. Each piece of kofta kabob is a total of 73 calories.
